“Memory Techniques for Language Learning” by Steven West delivers on its promise. It is chocked full of tools for memorizing new languages. Actually it more than delivers in that these same techniques can be used for all kinds of learning, not just languages.
West does an excellent job of providing a wide variety of learning techniques in a concise and no-fluff manner. Definitely worth the read if you desire to improve your learning skills.
The book had some good ideas on how to study and learn any subject (not just foreign language learning), but was very dry. There was no humor or human spirit behind the words. Very dull reading, but the concepts work.
