Gentle, touching nostalgia
The best sort of understated, smile-inspiring short fic. Maybe not for everyone, but just right for the kind of reader who'd never heard the word "barcade" before but instantly wants to find one. I bought Arnesto Modesto for the title, read all of it for the excellent story and writing, and gobbled up this short story when I didn't want to let it be over.

Chasing Cowquest is a fun short story about a man trying to reclaim the glory of his youth by regaining the top spot on the mysterious arcade game Cowquest. It reminded me a lot of my own misspent youth in the arcades vying with my buddies for the high scores and that was worth the cost of admission alone. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and for the princely sum of 99p what have you got to lose?
