I got this off the freebie list and wanted a sexy Brit. What I got was disappointing. Arielle is impulsive and immature and Max suppose to be alpha but we never get any inner dialogue so to me he read overbearing and inconsiderate.

I wanted to find out how it ended but admit I skimmed through part of the sex scenes. Only hearing Arielles pov made their dirty talk come across awkward. They get serious one moment and ready to bolt the next. He tries to get her pregnant so she can't leave him. She thinks it's too soon but then feels different when he tells her about his ex. The next moment his sister leaves her a voicemail trying to break the two up. She doesn't even wait to hear his side she literally runs.

Arielle has a very low self esteem and always thinks the worst and one moment she's over it and then reverts back. Books end you get a glimpse of a secret she hasn't revealed but I think my ride has to end here. I think hearing both pov's would have helped but I also like my couple more mature. Having a child is not something that should be a way to hold on to someone or something you should take lightly.

It was like the author wanted to sell a fairy tale of a little girl. If the couple can't even stay in the same room and talk things out when accusations fly what hope do they have when a baby is waking you up all hours of the night or is teething? The reality is not as glamorous and you need to be strong as a couple and know each other. The last thing is the talk of a fantasy Arielle has of a woman being with them during sex and Max's inquiries as to what she looked like.

Distasteful to me coming from either party. Enjoy?

Author should be ashamed!

Ms. Billerica directly stole this book and series from another author. The original book was called Pearl. She didn't put any effort in adding original content. All she did was change the names and where the guy was from. You must be a no talent hack, you certainly can't write.

Description indicated a stand alone but h & H story is continued in book 2. When a cliffhanger is not made clear, then a book should receive a low rating, in my humble opinion.

A contemporary romance that features Max, a billionaire (labeling this as a new WTT since all alpha males tend to uber-rich) who meets Arielle, a young woman with little sexual history (a virgin, sort of, who has never had an orgasm from penetrative sex) in a line at a coffee shop.

She was to see him and his sister at a conference, but didn't make it in time. She was to pitch a documentary film about their business, Finders Keepers, but happens to run into both in line.

They hit it off, but will they become a couple, or is the time being spent together just amazing sex? Is she a gold-digger, or are her feelings for real? Is he just a 4F male, or could this be the real thing for him?

Quite a few WTT trends throughout as well as some pretty spicy sexual adventures. This is the first story in the trilogy, but the story does a happy ending. Sort of a cliffhanger since there are a few unresolved relationship issues.

I made it 84% before I stopped torturing myself and put it in my DNF pile. I should have stopped earlier, when the MC claimed she couldn’t orgasm from penetrative sex but she was still a virgin. Instead of being a strong/intelligent person, the MC came across as a immature, whiny, bubble brain. She reminded of some little yappy dog.

I think the author was trying to make Max a dominant, but instead made him an indecisive domineering asshole with anger issues. It’s a pet-peeve of mine when authors can not tell the difference.

Doubt

First time reading this author, didn't know what to expect. I find Arielle's character is weak and not desirable. Max is a weird main character too. I thought the love scenes were ok. However, there were times I questioned how healthy it was.

A good read

There were many things I liked in this story, but I also thought some things were a little too easy — to pat — the setup easy to determine and aspects not quite believable. That said, I’ll see what the next book presents :-)

Many plot twists. Fun story. Can’t wait to read the next one. I found it a very light, enjoyable easy to read story.

Copy cat and a cheat

Guyies sorry to write so harshly but the author here has copy and pasted the entire story or arianne ricmondes book shades of pearl triology. The author is such a THEIF (sorry using such strong words but if u read the original book u will agree totally) she has not used her brains to even rewrite the sex scenes. The only ORIGINAL thing she has done is to change the name of the characters, which I guess was easy since u have to just find the word and press replace all. Seriously are there such fund publishing houses that they are publishing exact copy books. This is outright robbery and she is so dumb she has gone out and created a triology exactly like the original series sick😪. Guyies go read original book called shades of pearl, arianne Richmond has also released a book called the hookup where there are both H / h POV'S U will enjoy more that what this THEIF has written. Shame on u dear author, why aren't there any MINUS star rating here I would give this copy cye a minus ten.
