Her last name, which is coincidentally the name of the brightest star in Orion’s Belt, is Arabic in descent. Kore grew up loving the science-fantasy genre, and is a proclaimed science nerd.
Kore was born in Belfast, Ireland, and moved to the United States when she was a teenager. Her second love after science was reading romance novels. Being a citizen of the UK, she has a fascination with Stonehenge and the ancient druids.
Kore has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in Political Science. She resides in Seattle with her husband and Pomeranian.
