A small town is devastated by a freak event. The governments of the world thought they had more time, but they were not ready for the Cascade...
For Grant Colins it was another hot morning in LA, but as he rushed to get to his son's tenth birthday party, nothing could prepare him for what was about to be unleashed on his city, and then the world.
I just couldn’t connect with the characters in this book. It starts well, but from the airport on things go downhill. The ease with which the father keeps leaving his son, with strangers, during an incredibly scary time is astonishing. The lack of real emotional connection between the characters is a killer. You cant care about characters that don’t show they care about anyone or anything.
The apocalypse with a difference! All life on earth (with the exception of humans) seemingly change overnight to become huge predatory monsters. Humanity seem to be fighting a losing battle against these prehistoric-like creatures. This is edge of your seat, page-turning, non-stop action! Great story line and characters.
I loved Encounter it's a quick page-turner and a bit different. It's a great read but I hate having to read the next book for what literally comes next because there is no finish or anywhere near an ending. I'm going to download the next prequel to the Cascade series. Extinction.
Have read Prequel 1/2, 2/2 and Book 1 and WOW................................ No need to say more. Unless you want spoilers. I've liked everything of his I've read. In my list of books - the review I left was "WOW - Get the rest" for every one of his books. Trust me, so worth it!
