YOUR DESTINY DOES NOT LIE HERE, BUT FAR BEYOND THE HILLS
What a great start to a new series, and yet, the story will end with resolution. For Beatrix, she will be the seventh child to a witch, and her mother will tell her that she has a greater purpose in life that will be revealed to her by the Moon Goddess. A young woman cannot learn her witchcraft until she has her first menses, but her mother will pass before that time, never able to teach her. She can only instill words to her—words that will come to Trix when she needs to hear them most.
Beatrix has watched her mother, father, and most of her siblings die from fever, and when her last two twin sisters become sick, she knows she must risk it all, even if she dies trying to save them. When she goes into the dark to get the plant she needs to save her sisters, she will encounter a wolf—but not all things are evil.
“You are a blessing, Beatrix, to me and my pack. Little witch you are our mate, not just Tobias’s, but for all of ours. I am alpha, and you will be our Luna.”
The Kencull pack has searched for their mate, the one who will heal their pack. What a shock to Trixi to learn that she is to be mated to four shifters, the Alpha, Tobias, and his brothers, Cal, Silas, and Jonah. The Moon Goddess foretold that Tobias would wed the seventh child of the high priestess.
“What is to be will be, Trixie. You are our blessing from the Moon Goddess. Someday you will be more powerful than any witch on earth. You must be willing to go when the time comes.”
The story will be good versus evil, a battle that has been going on for years. Prophecy has foretold the coming of a High Priestess to mate within the Kencull pack, sent from the Moon Goddess Beatrix will be the prize fought for between the evil of Abaddon, and the Kencull pack.
“I am Beatrix, High Priestess of the Moon Goddess. These two wolves are my mates as well as two others that you will help us find and rescue. These are my children, Trix, bless them.”
When many from the Kencull pack are captured and imprisoned by those serving Abaddon, a few must do everything to save the others, and that means going to find Trix’s twin sisters and bring them. Once again, it will be good versus evil, even within families. Can the help of one good witch, Morgan, be able to make a difference?
“Beatrix, you are the Luna of the Kencull and my given mate by the Moon Goddess. I will fight for you, live for you, and love you for all of my days.”
The story is a steamy reverse harem shifter contains elements of power exchange. It will have some sex scenes, including ménage with shifters. I look forward to more in this series.
Before their father passed the pack to Tobias as Alpha, he explained the truth behind their strength and abilities. A century ago, in exchange for this blessing, their father promised the Moon Goddess that his heir would wed the seventh child of the high priestess. That would be Tobias. He and his brothers in purpose and pack members; Cal, Jonah and Silas were all that were left of the Kencull Pack. They anxiously awaited their Luna. Beatrix was the seventh child of a witch, blessed by the Moon Goddess to become a High Priestess and pre-ordained to become mate and High Priestess. Unfortunately her mother had died before she Trix was old enough for her mother to teach her about her powers or what more to expect. Her dying words were, "Don't let them come" and Trix had no idea what she meant. Once again S. Cinders has created a world that will completely immerse the reader in it's telling. The magic of shifters and witches completely merge into a world of suspense, lust, love and friendship. Along with the good, you know there must be evil so be prepared! Even with this part of the story coming to an HEA, the underlying plot still exists leaving us with the desire to know more and follow along to see what happens. Thank goodness that is one of S. Cinders talents, weaving a tale so incredible we voluntarily wait for the next segment. Congratulations on the beginning of a great series!!
Beatrix is the seventh child, whose parents succumbed to nightshade fever in her early teens. Now at nineteen she and her twin sisters live in a cottage separate from the village as they fear their black magic. Trix was warned by her mother that someone would come for her one day.
Tobias and the wolves of Kencult have strength and abilities as his father promised the Moon Goddess that his heir would wed the seventh child of the high priestess. When these two meet destiny is at hand: “I am not afraid of you wolf.” I almost wished I could have responded. The girls was certainly afraid of me, the stench of fear was rolling off her in waves. And yet she stood her ground far braver than any warrior I had ever met.
Trix is destined mate to the pack of four. Each has a different nickname for her and a different way of approaching her as she is an innocent. Each developing relationship is unique and special. Trix was to be trained to use her magic when she became of age – but her mother passed before that time. When a search for someone to train her goes wrong, all involved must risk their lives to secure a future for the pack.
Magic, humor, pack and relationships all combine into a delightful story!!

Genre: romance - Paranormal, shifter, reverse harem, suspense Standalone: yes Part of a Series: Yes Book 1 of the Wolves of Kencull series POV: Lots Steam Level: Toasty 5/5
Promised is the first book I've read by S. Cinders once I started it I couldn't put it down. S. Cinders did a great job interweaving suspense and a slow-burning steam. Promised was an engrossing, quick read filled with sexy alpha males intense love and a bit of betrayal. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of this series.
I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I love S. Cinders stories and look at that cover isn’t it gorgeous?. I enjoyed this Reverse Harem story about the last 4 wolves of the Kencull pack and they are looking for their mate and they find her in Beatrix who is a witch. I was hooked to this story from the start now who wouldn’t want 4 sexy wolves telling you that your their mate?, ✋🏼 my hand is way up. There’s action, suspense, drama, passion, some hot sizzling scenes and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A great story and I recommend this book.
They can huff and puff blow my door down anytime!!!
S.Cinders Wolves of Kencull first installment is a hit, with action on two or four legs from page one til the very last. This new series is full of sexy hot men/wolves,w/no problem . Being ol natural and making any woman pass out from heat exhaustion. Just from being in their general vicinity. So praise to the Kencull wolves and Moon Goddess. S.Cinders we are waiting for the next book...
Cute story but it was a bunch of telling, not showing
I like to experience my stories, not be told what happened. Telling cuts the experience down to a shadow of what it could be and prevents any tension from building.
Many novellas end up like this and it is a shame. Nothing wrong with the length of a novella as long as the author can pull off a complete one, not a barely there telling.
This story had a lot of promise, but the length of it made it feel rushed, making it more of a 3.5 for me. I loved the steamy scenes, which is why I'm giving it the 3.5, but I didn't feel like I connected with the characters as much as I wish I had. If the story were fleshed out more with more time between meeting and falling in love, character background, and details, I would have loved it. The story just needs more.
This is one of those stories where everything is on fast track, so if you aren’t into that then this probably won’t be for you. I really liked the relationship the ‘brothers’ have and the insta mate connection - was interesting to see it from all POVs. The steam is good, though a little more detail wouldn’t have gone astray :) The ending left me feeling as though it was rushed, the epilogue was a nice touch.
No spoilers of any kind included. This book was really great, plenty of action and some steam but I thought the female characters could’ve used a little more backbone to go with their vulnerability though. But all in all I really enjoyed reading this book and I look forward to reading more of this series in the future.
This was a very steamy story. The characters were well thought out and seemed to have a great chemistry between. I enjoyed reading this book. The main thing in this book is its about good vs evil. They have a HEA in the end.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. If there's a right way to start a series - this book is it! It's a great lil read that is action packed and will have you ranging emotions from smiling to thinking "no, don't do it you silly girl!!" (You'll know which bit I mean when you read it!!). Cannot wait for the next book to come out.
I liked this very interesting story set in a paranormal aspect. Trix was great character...showing strength during great adversary. I was concerned about Tobias though. I wasn't sure just what he was going to do in the end. His brothers were great though. A very good story with an interesting plotline which added dimension to the story making it more than just the normal supernatural story.
She is ashamed of her special abilities and has learnt to not only hide them and keeping away from the dark. He and his brother's have been searching for their mate. They believe they are the last of their kind. Will they find each other? See how they get on

Promised is an otherworldly type of book. It is set in a time period where witches are feared and no one goes out at night for fear of the darkness (wolf shifters). The book is a short read but offers the reader heat, a bit of suspense and the fight of good and evil.
Look forward to seeing where the series goes from here.
I had never read an explicit hot book (not that I remember) and the experience was ????? kkkkkkk laughs a lot in the sex scenes because they are embarrassing.
The construction of the world in this book is almost non-existent, we don't know where or when the book takes place, and out of nowhere the author lets out a "King Arthur" and you don't know if she's talking about the Arthur we know or if in this world there is, coincidentally, a King Arthur.
The characters are ok, but the story, in many instances, is extremes convenient.
The development of the story could be much bigger. The basis of the story has the potential for that.
I find this connection plot, companion etc kind of problematic, because we're used to relating to people we know minimally, so sometimes it bothers me, but it's, in a way, understandable.
I did not care for this story at all. The writing style is very underdeveloped The story hops multiple times like sections are missing. I did not finish reading this book and wish I could get my money back.
The story was really good and one that I can't wait for the next book to come out.Three sisters with a different path to take and one may be lost forever.
