Pause: Making Time to Walk With God

Blogger and Christian coach Kerry Connelly was feeling burned out. Like a lot of women, she's a giver. Giving is righteous and good, but at some point, if you don't fill your own tank, well, you just give out. It was at such a time, while feeling distant from God, that Connelly developed the Pause Lifestyle.
It's simple: A few times a day, interrupt what you're doing and fill up on God's love. You don't have to do or be anything special to earn this gift. The only requirement is to open your heart and receive.
And breathe. Breathing definitely helps.
Pause is specifically designed to guide you through this practice. Each chapter contains creative meditations on different aspects of your relationship with God. And although the reflections are based in scripture, this isn't a Bible study. It's more like a check-in with a loved one.
Connelly's overarching metaphor contrasts our hectic, imperfect existence in the wilderness of our everyday lives with the perfect balance and repose of God's Garden, where everything is as it should be. It's a place where your relationships with God, your loved ones, and the earth are all in a state of peace, harmony, and wholeness.
