That smoking one-night stand with the sexy mountain man?
Turns out it's more than just a hot hook-up. Now, I'm carrying his baby.

Aidan Anderson. Billionaire. Head of Anderson Development.
I thought I had it all. The perfect life.
But when the unthinkable happened, I became a broken man.
Isolation and solitude were all I craved.

I retreated to my mountain overlooking the small town of Ashton Mill.
There, I met Katie. Her plump lips and gentle curves made me feel whole again.
And reawakened my protective instincts.

When she shows up at my fortress, her full curves almost make me forget that she's in danger.
A stalker is hunting her, and he wants to take her from me.
But, I won't let that happen.
History is not going to repeat itself this Holiday. Not on my watch.

I'll protect Katie and our baby.
And I'll destroy anyone that stands in my way!

Disappointing

This story had a promising start. It rapidly went down hill. The main characters were so simplistic. Their voice did not match their station in life. It became ludicrous at the end. I was done when the heroine left her baby in NICU to return to work when the baby's father is a millionaire. Unbelievable!!!! Not going to happen. The ending was so bad. I’m glad this book was free. If it was good I would have paid to read the first two books in the series. I won't be reading anymore of this author's books.

I have tortured myself enough with this author’s work. This book could have easily been 180 pages. There were way too many repetitive inner thoughts.

Aiden was ok but came off a little like a simpleton at times which belied his billionaire stature. Katie on the other hand was all together too annoying. Much like the heroines in the previous books. There is independent and then there is dumb. What pregnant woman deliberately puts herself and her unborn child in harms way when her man has the means to protect her? How does he drop her off to a dark empty house with a stalker on the loose, after a blissful weekend no less? What sane woman goes back to work in a bar with her newborn in NICU? How does one fly in a 6 member security detail and after she is snatched from 2 who were not paying attention, they are all left to twiddle their thumbs while the hero and his best friend go after her?

Just when I thought it could not get any worse; a party at the site and anniversary of your fiancé’s murder. Altogether too ridiculous and unrealistic.

Intenionally incredible!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and holy wow, I was blown clean away!!! Not only is this book an incredible emotional journey, it also has pulse-pounding action! Seriously, this book should not be missed, I strongly recommend it!!!!

The main characters both suffered tragedies that can break a person's soul, yet they managed to soldier on. Their individual evolutions as the book progressed were amazing to read. They took what came at them and learned from it, then learned to work together. I loved the way their relationship grew and was portrayed. Also, their banter was on point and HIGHLY enjoyable! R.R. Banks again wove humour through a serious story skillfully and had me giggling out loud several times.

The pace moved along well and the secondary characters were full of life and memorable. Everything about this story flowed, meshed, and just plain worked.

I do have to give a trigger warning to a few scenes of domestic violence that were necessary to the progression of the story but not overdone or sensationalized.

Broken 😢+ Broken 😠= True💘Love?!

This is a well written, but fairly formula adult romance. Enjoy it for what it is! I did!
Broken woman 😠 meets broken recluse man 😢, who hides on his estate because his wife died and he feels It was his fault. Young woman💃💔 has left her home to hide hundreds of miles away from a very abusive💪 boyfriend.
Both people have a big attraction for each other but guilt on his part for betraying the 💘love for his dead wife holds him back. The young woman💃💔 he meets is afraid to trust a man again, afraid she will get in another abusive controlling💪 relationship. Stalemate!
You know there will be a ☺happy ending after lots of pages of adult fantasy sexual🐺🍆🌋💋 encounters inbetween!

Thank you R. for writing📄 such a sweet pageturner!

ARC Received via Bookfunnel.
I also got the book📑 with KU.

Please write a more likable heroine.

More than a bit disappointed with this work. The plot was too dark, and relentless. I liked Aiden well enough, but got a bit frustrated with the level of guilt he insisted on nurturing. Katie was thoroughly annoying. Didn't really care for what was happening to her because of her stubbornness and poor choices. Banks has written better, and I look forward to his next publication. Finally, it really could have been shortened.

Not consistent

Dear Author
I am going to assume you never had a baby bc if you did you would know no woman goes back to work a weeks after having a baby especially when that baby is in the NICU. I don’t care how much distraction she needs. What happened to the best friend? And I thought the team was in units of 6 why would other members go help find Katie? And please find another word instead if alabaster to describe skin. Is every woman in your books pale?

Absolutely loved Aidan and Katie’s story. A storyline full of action, danger, hope, survival and love and so much more. It kept me captivated and on the edge of my seat with anticipation of each page I turned. S intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I was finished with the book. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read

I feel like I am not sure how to read these mountain men books successfully. They just seem creepy and weird. Eh, the book was ok, but I'm not really digging the MM type books.

Aidan and Katie

I’ve never read anything by this author before now and I am sorry I missed this good writer.

Aidan has had a horrible and tragic past after his fiancé and love of his life is murdered. He finds solitude up in the mountains and three years later he still can’t move forward.

Katie escaped an abusive relationship and started a new life for herself in a small town with her best friend.

I loved that these two inspire each other to want more. Despite their devastating pasts they are still willing to open their hearts to each other.

This was gripping, intriguing, and suspenseful. I only had two things I simply thought were odd. These two are with each other for months and even though she’s pregnant they are still using condoms. I’m confused but then maybe even though they are open to something special maybe they still weren’t as open as I thought. They also never say “I love you.” until the end. You really feel their pull toward each other. However after all they go through as a couple and how much they fight to be with each other and their baby how are you not saying these words to each other in case you never get that chance again.

This didn’t completely take away from the story but I think these disconnected parts to their relationship kept me from falling in love fully to their story.

This hot ticket is the perfect combination of humor, danger ,suspense and lust. With the emotional angst of love, darkness started to unravel rapidly in the form of a stalker and kidnapper.

This wonderful romance has everything one wish it to be, and so much more when it comes to Author R.R.Banks.

This full of suspense and loving romance, where Aidan and Katie face challenges and managed to pull through insurmountable odds is something to behold.
Well done R.R!

This is bare none a spectacular, exiting, full of emotional roller coaster of the senses. Let’s not forget the sexy, hot, delicious sex bits. Wow!!
This book has a certain flow that will beguile you Dear readers.

Banks goes out of his way, imaginatively in order to bring such vibrant characters to life, with every surmontable plot their is to keep you on suspense.

The complexity of the stories, every character filling a specific role. Whether it’s the family or their friends. Bravo again!

This is the work of a true Romance written and certainly not of the Fifty’s variety. You readers will thoroughly enjoy this one, and definitely many mote of his past and future books to come.

Thank you R.R.Banks for staying true to your particular style of writing . I love it wholeheartedly 🍀

Overall this was a well written compelling story that held my attention throughout. The story had a lot of good things going for it. The emotions and grief that Aidan had to deal with and having him work through them was touching. It gave you a real feel for Aidan and his struggles which made me appreciate him even more. Katie survived domestic violence but still had to live in fear. The view of a situation like that was difficult but worthwhile to read about.

There were a few things that I would have liked to be different though. I was surprised after the baby was born Katie and Aidan weren't allowed to touch him. Having worked in a NICU I know how important that touch is for the baby and the parents. I couldn't believe Katie would go back to work so soon after the baby was born but perhaps where she was didn't offer her paid leave like she would get elsewhere. I wondered where Aidan's family was during all of this, especially Brayden. I waited and waited for a family scene but was disappointed when I didn't get one. I also wanted Oliver to play a bigger role but then I am a sucker for dogs. Still, even though there were things I would have liked to have seen, this was another wonderful read by Banks.

Aidan and Kate

This book was better than the first two as far as being a better read. I like the plot and story lines of the series. But I feel like they are like the 1980’s horror movies when you say what are screaming for the stupid girl not to do that. These women in the series are all suppose to be smart women but being mad a a man for helping protect you with an assault is crazy, no matter how independent you are. Risking your life and your unborn child to live alone or work in a bar when your billionaire baby daddy wants you in his fortress for protection, way too stupid. He spent more money on her surprise then she probably makes in a year and she is going to tell him she has bills to pay! Well, if she lived with him until the danger passes she wouldn’t have to worry about home bills. Protecting your self and child go before pride. Also, having an event where your finance was murdered and sleeping there with your new family? That is very unrealistic. If I was part of the the family of the murdered women iI would be appalled.

MURDER, MAYHEM, & HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Another great book by a wonderful author. I love the fact that R. R. Banks is a man writing terrific books in the Romance Genre. To my estimation, far too many men put forth the facade that romance is way beneath being masculine. I find that men who embrace romance are far sexier than those who posture about how tough and “manly” they are...it takes more masculinity to be romantic.
This book has entwined murder of a beloved fiancée and the heartbreak and damage of a violently abusive relationship, and brought forth two badly damaged people who survive to experience a Happily Ever After. This has been a very enjoyable reading experience.

RR's books are the bomb I just can't get enough of them. It seems with each new book RR writers he pushes himself to new heights. This little gem has all the makings to be a hit for everyone who loves that feeling you get from falling over the edge of a emotional story and believe me you'll absolutely love this one. I refuse to give away to much of Aidan and Katie's journey to the path of hope, happiness and love, but I'll tell you there's drama, sexual tension, murder and I will warn you to expect to walk away with a great feeling of satisfaction from a fantastic story. You'll want to add this to your list of books you need to read asap.

Total Excitement

This story was a total on the edge of your seats, hold onto you butt kind of story. Feom the beginning tragic things happen and thru the entire book you always wonder are these people ever going to come out on top.

One of my favor aspects of this story is that even though there is a baby involved they don't just rush to be a couple and get married. You actually get to sit back and watch them work towards a relationship. Of course you don't know what the end product will be, and I ain't gona tell you either.

Just grab the book and hold on for the ride of your life.

Until Next Time.... Tabi

The only good thing about this book was the cover! Struggled to get through this one but did so for the sake of moving onto the next book and finishing the series. The first two books were great and I breezed through them. However, the writing in this one was repetitive with the author saying same thing in two or three different but mostly similar ways in one sentence after the other?? Please fire the editor?? Annoying characters but I'll make an exception for Oliver, the dog. This is one of the only books I've read thus far that I've really had to push myself to get through (unpopular opinion: the other being Beautiful Creatures - couldn't get into that one either). That is all byeeeee

Dark romance

Aiden has been broken since his fiancée was murdered. Alone on his mountain he is trying to grieve and pick up the pieces left behind. Katie was in an abusive relationship and has been slowly rebuilding her life when she learns she is pregnant with Aiden's child. Will their past come back to haunt them?

I loved this story. A dark romance with a few bright spots. The story line was great. The character development was good. It allowed the characters's relationship to develop organically.

2 lonely souls and baby makes 3

Aidan Anderson is a Billionaire who has a terrible quilt of losing his finance to a murder,, thinking he could have stopped her death of he only had been there. Katie Weathers has a past too she is on the run from an abusive relationship and needs to work to be able to pay her bills. Katie works at the local bar in the town of Ashton Mills. So her and Aidan get together and have a one day stand and if course she gets pregnant, their story is very sweet and some what dangerous to!! Recommend 5 Stars

I love Aidan

Asian has had some horrible things happen in his life, and unfortunately he's let it take him under.

When his brother have him the swift kick he needed, he reached out to the world, only to be smacked again.

Aidan tried to help someone in distress, but unfortunately Katie didn't see it that way. Katie didn't like that Aidan didn't think she could handle herself, so, she went off on him.

When two people, with harried backgrounds collide, the explosion can be beautiful.

Thank you! Amazing read!

Thank you Mr. Banks, I loved reading about the Anderson Brothers. I wish more men were like them. I liked being swept away in each story and being in different places from New England where I’m from. I liked the mystery and suspense and love being found. The sex helped too, lol. I liked being connected to the story. I liked how the book was laid out, each chapter was labeled with the character who was talking. I will continue to read your books. Great read

It was so horrible. I had high expectations the way it started . But it did not evolve after that. I felt like same sentence and same thoughts were repeated on every page. I never felt the chemistry between Katie and Aidan. He was too deeply in love and grief with Maddy it was not convincing enough to accept that he fell for Kate. And Kate’s character also never evolved . Atleast she should have gone back to college in the epilogue but there is no mention about it . I never felt a strong connection. It’s just a waste of time

Great book! Seeing how each of the main characters struggle to overcome their past, baggage, and emotional hesitations I loved seeing them interact and come to trust one another. The candid banter and communications is always a favorite for me in books since it makes the characters more relatable. Katie's ex is the underlying threat and suspense in this book and I thing the book kept him involved just the right amount, and in just the right way. Great book overall.

Everything you are looking for in a book!

If you are looking for a romance book that has a mystery, a bit of a terror and a bit of redemption....then this is the book for you. I enjoyed reading this book, because of all the twists and turns. I loved the redeeming love that is found by Aiden. The fact that Katie finds herself worthy of Aiden's love is a nice change too. Great read from beginning to the very end and the final reveal just makes it perfect.

Love the Anderson Brothers!!

These boys love fiercely, protect with their lives, and live generously. Oh, to be an Anderson's girl! ;) In this, the 3rd in the series, we meet Aiden and Katie. Both of them are running from evil, mentally and physically. RR Banks weaves a masterful tale of suspense, attraction, despair, and healing through love. I can't wait for the 4th!

Okay book

I got bored many times when the author writes the same thing over and over again in different ways in the characters' thoughts. Also, I don't understand why did Aidan and Katie continues to use a condom after her is already pregnant. That didn't make any sense at all. Was I the only person who picked up on that?

Heart breaking story

My heart aches in the beginning of this book. Aiden and Marie's story's had so many terrible turns made me cry. Wonderful to see the ending was bitter sweet. Thought they would have married or another baby in the end. Also disapointed not to know what happened to Davis!!!!

Brother 3

I really do LOVE this man's writing. His women are intelligent, strong and witty. I love all the brothers but I think he need an editor who actually READS the books..timelines and names are off a bit, if you've read first two books. Aiden and Katie are perfect together, getting over their past TOGETHER.
Still think his Whiskey Hollow series is the best.

Heartbreaking and HEA all in one

I love this brothers story. With everything both characters have been through, they’re blessed to finally find their HEA. Through darkness and light, they stand together and fight the demons and come out the victors. I cannot wait to see what happens with the last brother in the family.
