A young woman barters her soul for the heart of a charismatic gangster in wartime New York.

She’s been warned about this silver-tongued murderer in a Savile Row suit. But when his enemies target both of them, she’s all in—a soldier in a secret war, alive and awake in a world of sleepwalkers.

Violence is contagious. If she gets in any deeper, she’ll never get out.

RUBY HIGHLAND is a novel of romantic suspense set during World War Two, as the Jewish underworld battles Axis spies in a city on edge.

A superb novel, especially for a debut. Complex, colorful, interesting characters and a fascinating plot with lots of suspense. Brought me into the world I had little familiarity with- Jewish mobsters and other aspects of NYC and WWII that I never dreamed existed.

I highly recommend the novel. Could see it as a TV series. if so, I would binge on it.

Through a character of Ruby you fly with emotions, words, twists and turns , keeps your attention to the very end . It pulls you into the other time and you forget yourself deeply engrossed and curious , what comes next. Ruby would be a wonderful movie .
