The first 50 pages are very informative. The rest of the book consists of recipes that are variations on those generally available.

This is a very good book. There's an awful lot of information in the opening chapters and you do need to read this before you get on to looking at the recipes. I am struggling a bit in following the advice as it's so expensive to buy the foodstuffs you need if you are to cook without ordinary flour, potatoes, rice, pasta etc and replace them with something different, and the recipes seem to take ages to cook. That said, I think it is still a very good book.

I love the recipes in this book! I have seen some pretty bland diabete recipe books and this is definitely not one of those books!
