Cassandra Jones doesn't know who to trust. Maybe that's because people keep on turning out to be predictably human. Or predictably vampire, as the case may be.Maya betrayed her. Richard let her think he was dead. And Miranda had, in the end, left behind not only Cass, but the entire Shield organization. Luckily, Cass can count on Zach. His love centers her, grounding her as she learns to channel her powers as the Seer. But when Richard shows up with information on the Heretic's next move, Cass suddenly finds herself immersed in an Underside battle unlike any she's ever seen. She knows she will eventually have to face the masked champion in order to prevent the Lost from overrunning the world—facing the unknown is something Cass can handle. It's facing those she knows that's difficult. They have demons of their own, after all.

I've read all kinds of books in my life. Big Important Books. Falling-apart-from-use books. Comic books. Books with no pictures that I wish had been comic books. Cookbooks. Pulp fiction. Histories. Biographies. You get the idea.

And one day I just reached a point where I wanted to write the kinds of stories I really enjoy reading—stories with humor, action, and all kinds of supernatural shenanigans. And a kick ass heroine who's a real person, with the messy and meaningful challenges real people face in life.

When I'm not writing, I'm outside working in the garden, playing Pokemon Go with my kids, or trying to convince our crazy dog that she really does like baths. Hope your day is full of awesome—thanks for stopping by!

This was probably best of the books in the series so far. Lots of action. The author does have a problem with not tipping her hand too early though. I think most readers were able to guess the identity of the masked demon before Cass figured it out. Or at least before she acknowledged it to herself. And after destroying all her competition in the tournament and almost defeating Cass, Maya overpowers the demon with her stiletto? Richard should have had Maya enter the contest instead of Cass. The author is keeping us guessing on whom Cass ends up with Richard or Zach? Like Maya I had to wonder why nobody was sleeping with anyone while they were all sharing the apartment? Now for the title Blameless. Cass continues to feel guilty and takes the blame for her Aunt Miranda becoming a vampire. Which I don't understand because it was clearly her choice and Cass and company were clearly close enough to her to hear when she told the Heretic to turn her. And why is this disease that is causing all the Lost to become feral not effecting the Turned? And if the Heretic, Amare and Miranda haven't taken human blood, wouldn't that make them Turned and not Lost? Good story but it does get a little confusing.

Blameless

Another great book. Cass has to fight in a tournament that is only fought every 50 years and win, to get a relic. Unknown to Richard, his 2nd in command has made plans to steal it. Maya was only expecting Richard and not Zach. Maya had prepared for Richard but Zach didn't know that the relic would change him. With that happening, Maya is unsuccessful in stealing the relic but Zach got her bag. Meanwhile, Cass is fighting to win the relic and winning her matches. She remembers something about her birth that she tells Kumiko about.

Cass’s world has flipped. After her aunt turned, Cass finds herself working with the Shield. Her relationship with Richard has taken a down turn, but Zack has remained loyal.

Even though I know the champion fighter contest is with turned and lost vampires and other magic users, the brutality of it was surprising. Which makes the thought of Cass being so good that they expect her to win a little unbelievable.

Fave scenes: Zach’s garbage collection, Cass’s run through the hub, Zack’s transformation and Cass’s reason for last fight.

Blameless/vision of vampire 3/!. Iegend

This series was awesome as the other two. Continuous of Cass her emotions of finally starting to feel who she really is, but still some loophole, and finding the changes of her friend Zac are diff. And still feel a connection to the vampire ,richard, and not sure where it will lead. The story is well written, holds you spellbound to want to know what is the connection to all the plots as it unfold, about Cass and her past.

This continues from the last book where Miranda Cass's Aunt was turned into a lost vampire and she and her bunch are getting involved in trying to steal the relic before anyone can win it. Cass fights Mariada under a demon mask fights Cass and Cass tells her aunt in a whisper she's sorry for not saving her and then she wins and ends up at the monstary with her relic of power

Deep and Intense= great book!

This 3rd book was definitely a deeper more emotive book in the series but it was exactly what the series needed. Some questions have been answered but made many more that you can't wait to read the next book. This series has many layers that is SO exciting to unravel. Recommend for sure!

I read this series as one long book because I simply couldn't put it down. It is a new twist on the vampire theme which I thoroughly enjoyed.
