Drug cartels, kidnapping and the gorgeous Clay Kurth! What more could you want?
So... this is the next step from New Pleasures and we once again meet the gorgeous, broodingly cheeky FBI Agent Clay Kurth. If you haven’t read the two previous series ‘Pleasures’ and ‘New Pleasures’ I would definitely recommend that you do before you read this Final Pleasures series. Although you could easily read this as a stand-alone title, having the background of Clay, Rylan and Jenna Archer and Rona and Jalen would be extremely beneficial to your reading experience.
In New Pleasures, Clay was, for the want of a better phrase, the jilted lover of private investigator, Rona. He’d been there for her after her Uncles murder and they enjoyed a steamy friends with benefits arrangement... but whereas Clay wanted more, Rona saw him more as a friend and their relationship went no further; particularly after Rona met her Billionaire soulmate Jalen.
Rona and Clay’s friendship however took an almighty hit when he failed to find her when she was taken by a group of human traffickers. Instead of listening to Jalen and Jenna he ignored them and if it weren’t for Jalen using his money to buy his own girlfriend back via the traffickers auction. His shame and regret has left him feeling lost and guilty. He decides it’s time to move on, so when his partner, Agent Matthews approaches him with an off-the-record mission to find some American Aid workers that have gone missing in Costa Rica, he takes the opportunity to give himself some much needed headspace.
Little does he know that he is about to collide paths with an old friend. A friend who hadn’t seen since they shared a kiss when they were seventeen. A chaste moment that was cut short when her family fled their home for their own safety. When he first lays eyes on her every thought, every feeling and every want he felt as the seventeen year old comes flooding back.
Tess hadn’t seen Clay in sixteen years, but the hurt she felt when she left that day still lingered and angered her. He was still that same strong, athletic and incredibly handsome person she’d fallen in love with back then... but her sister had twisted the knife of betrayal that had stopped her from contacting him after they’d left their hometown.
Tess had made a good life for herself in New York as a reporter for the NY Times. She’d had a couple of boyfriends but none had ever matched up to Clay. Not that she was saving herself for him, she just hadn’t found anyone that she wanted to give herself to. Then here she was, face-to-face with the boy she’d had her heart broken by... but she was here because her sister Brianne was missing... A volunteer aid worker who hadn’t been heard from in weeks. He’d hurt her once. She was not about to let him do the same again.
Now their paths are crossing and you can see where this story is about to go. Clay is unsure why Tess is being so standoffish and cold towards him. She was the one who’d left without any warning and no call or letter to offer explanation. What could he have possibly done to warrant such a reaction.
When the misunderstandings of sixteen years ago becomes clear they realise that every bit of the attraction they had back then was still there... in fact not just still there, but even stronger. However, they weren’t here for a holiday romance they were on a mission... the same mission and seemingly more dangerous one the more they uncover. As the pieces start to click into place they realise that this is more than just a group of missing aid workers and that they have potentially ruffled the feathers of a deadly group of drug dealers that most definitely are not going to play nicely.
It’s a good start to what I hope is an action packed series with enough sexy encounters to give it that steamy romance vibe.
The characters are instantly likeable particularly if you’ve already got to know Clay. This story just makes you like him even more. He’s caring and gentle but with enough of a strength and dominance in his personality to make him insanely attractive without being arrogant.

This is an action packed suspense filled second chance romance story. When Tess was fourteen she was best friends with Clay but she was also in love with Clay.When her mom and sister Brianne told her to leave she went to Clays .Clay was mad that her mom's boyfriend was making Tess cry.He held her in his arms as she cried then Clay kissed her it was magic.But Brianne told her they were leaving moving she told her she had to tell Clay goodbye.Brianne told her that she had slept with Clay that he didn't care for her he just wanted to sleep with her because he could say he slept with both aisters.Brianne broke Tess,a heart that day.Now years later she's in a foreign country to search for her sister and on the way out of the plane she runs into Clay.Clay wants to pull Tess in his arms so bad but she's acting like she hates him.He asks her to eat with him she says ok.Then they take a walk when he pulls her in his arms she's stiff at first then kisses him back like she wants him as much as he wants her.Then she pulls away an runs off.That's it he's going to find out what the hell is wrong with her.After she answers the door she tries to shut it in his face but he stops her.He asks what she never wrote why she didn't call.She gets mad an tells him Brianne told her about them sleeping together.He's shocked.He tells her he never slept with her sister Its a shock then he tells her that Brianne is gay. Then the passion they have been fighting erupts.After they shared what they both know they are there for the same reason,the jealous part wonders if he's here for Brianne. The twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.there is danger at every corner Clay finally gives up and takes Tess with him or she will get herself in trouble.Will they be able to save all the hostages?What will happen between Clay and Tess?I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel like you know them personally.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author

I really enjoyed this story. I can't wait to see what happens with Clay and Tess. There are so many twists and turns in this story. I can't wait to read how it all comes together. The fact that Tess's sister Brianne appears to have a hidden life and possibly hidden agenda makes me sit back are really think about the clues and hints I have been given so far in the story. I don't want to say more because I don't want to give away anymore of the story or have spoilers in my review. What I can say is that the story is very well written, the characters are well developed, engaging and relatable. I really do not see how you can go wrong with this one, unless you super hate cliffhangers. If you do, than I suggest that you what until the story is complete and then read them all. I know I can't wait for the next installment. It is killing me wondering what is going to happen to Tess. Where is Clay? How is this all going to get figured out? Ughhhhh. I just can't wait.

Clay and Tess have a past. He was very interested in her and they were just about to take things to the next level to see where it went. and her and her sister, Brianne, just disappeared. He was heart broken, and didn't understand why she left so abruptly. To make up for that heart break he found comfort in any willing warm body, envisioning Tess as the person he was with.
Imagine his surprise when he goes to Costa Rica and there she is! She knows its him, but she blows him off like he's gum on the bottom of her shoe! He doesn't understand. But, he's there to find a missing person unofficially.
Will he eventually find out why she hates him? Are they searching for the same person?

Gripping read
What an explosive and incredible story one that pulls at your heart strings but can't putdown. It's full of danger and intrigue, love and lust as well and a second chance of love. Clay is just out of a relationship that wasn't really happening. He is asked to help in a non sanctioned operation when his past just so happens to be on that same trip.
This book will keep you on your toes. A cliff hanger at the end but you will love this book.
Recommend to read the other books in this series so you understand the other characters mentioned.

I'm loving that there is this intense attraction between Clay and Tess but he is still cautious about being impulsive with decisions about their future. They are both in a risky situation plus add up to that, some hurt feelings from their past and from the beginning you have built up tension. But they manage to put differences aside to work as a team most of the time. I liked reading his caring side like always and I really liked the twist the story ended having. I wasn't expecting that! So I'm looking forward to the next one and to read how they'll manage to solve it all.

Yes yes yes, Clay has a book, I am so happy that we are getting Clay's story, he really got the short end of the stick in the first books of this series, and deserved so much more.
Clay and Tess could not have made a better story, this book was action packed with suspense and some hotness between the sheets, and then the ending of the book knocked me down and has left me with my jaw hanging on the ground. I don't know how long I am going to be able to wait for the next book, I need to know what happens to Tess and where her and Clay end up.

I absolutely loved this story. It has amazing group of characters with so much action and drama. It has you glued to your seat just so you can find out what happens. Tess and Clay together have this chemistry that is nonstop. Even though this is part of a series it is completely readable without having to read the others. It is an amazing ride that you just have to read. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to read the next one.

Wow! Action packed, humor, angst and love all wrapped up in this fantastic book. Tess and Clay were made for each other. Will past hurts, and a freak encounter, bring them together? Will Tess trust her instincts? Can Clay win her over?

Awesome read! The suspense, action and the steamy hotness were great. It is well written, smooth and interesting. It kept me turning pages and wanting to see what is next. Tess and Clay make a good team. This is a second chance romance worth the read. It ends in a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next to see how it all ends. Great read I recommend it to all. An intriguing and interesting action packed romance. Clay and Tess could not have made a better story. This storyline was an intense rollercoaster ride of emotions with it angst, suspense, chemistry, and lots of steam. A well written story capturing my attention from page one then knocked me down with its cliffhanger leaving me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next release.

An interesting turn of events

I really enjoyed Clay & Tess’s story and how it ended in dying for more. Tess & Clay were best friends who both wanted more until a secret tire then apart, now years later they are reunited. Their connection is still there but with danger around will they get their HEA? I wish Tess & Clay’s next book was out because how it ended I need to know what is going too happen next.

I was so excited for Clay's story and I wasn't disappointed. Finding Brianne will suck you into the mystery and suspense. Clay and Tess have HOT chemistry. I loved it!
The writing is fantastic and the story flows seamlessly. Told in both Clay and Tess's POV. It's not a standalone and ends in a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book!!!

I haven't read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

A well written story with nice storyline and plot. I like it is written in dual POV which gives the reader a lot more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That brings the story closer to the reader.
Two characters that have an amazing attraction for each other but their pasts have learned them to be careful.

Good story. You have a lot of excitement, suspense, twists and turns, emotions and so much more. You have some complex characters with a very good story. I couldn't put it down. I recommend it. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.

I was so pleased Clay was getting his own book, but I was disappointed it took so long for the story to get really started. That being said, now that the confusion between Tess and Clay has mostly been resolved the story really gets started and then it ends and I can't wait for the next book!

It is imposible to put the book down once you start reading. The longer you read the harder it gets, and with an ending like this one I can hardly wait for the next book.

I’m disappointed that it ended in a cliffhanger but we don’t have long to wait for the rest of Tess and Clay’s story. I enjoyed the storyline and the many plot twist and turns.

This finally gives Clay and Tess a chance for their story to be told. Like all of M. S. Parker's books, this romance is a rollercoaster ride of intense intrigue, angst, emotions, and plenty of steam. Be prepared for a cliffhanger but so worth it!!

This book was very interesting and entertaining. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. The author wove this story around them with ease, creating a memorable relationship that was full of steam. The book had lots of intrigue and drama as well making it a well rounded story.

Do not like cliffhangers. At. All.
It is so very pathetic that writers do this to their readers. One reason I read any o f this writer's series was because it was offered in a book set. I won't be purchasing any new books from this writer again. The stories are not worth it.
