One of the most important truths a Christian canlearn is the freedom and release that results fromforgiving. Yet this truth escapes attention in mostchurches even though Christ taught it many times.One of his most familiar lessons is in Matthew18 about a servant whose master forgave a debt ofwhat would be $20 million in our money. Theservant turned around and refused to forgive afellow servant a measly $17 debt, and had himthrown into prison.For years I was outraged that a servant who wasforgiven so much would be so unforgiving.
