The first time was spur of the moment. The second time will be forever.
I never thought I’d fall for a girl in overalls and muddy boots until I met Quinn Hardy. She’s the best thing that came with this run-down farm. The loss of my wife left me empty and struggling to raise a daughter. Years later, not even all my wealth can fill the void.
But with Quinn, I see everything I want in a woman. Smart. Strong. An amazing mother. And her son? He sure reminds me of how I looked and acted as a kid.
I’ll show Quinn what a real man is like. I’ll crush those greedy neighbors eyeing her land the way I stamp out those trying to mess with my company. There’s a savage beast under this suit and the countryside is the perfect place to go wild.
I’ll protect Quinn with all I’ve got. And I’ll destroy anyone and anything that gets in my way.
The story itself was decent and had a lot of potential, but the book was not put together well at all. The main guy was a horrible person. There are so many things I hated about him. I can't like a book if the main characters suck. The personalities of the main characters seemed inconsistent. The writing wasn't horrible but it wasn't that good. There were too many elements, so many that it was overwhelming.
I was really attracted by the blurb but I didn’t connect with the characters. Something was missing for me. It felt a bit mechanical though I did appreciate some of the twists of the story.
It started off pretty good and then about halfway way through it, I was rolling my eyes. There were a lot of ridiculously unbelievable situations that occurred in this story. Some in particular I thought were pretty hard to forgive or get over without some kind of conversation or explanation but the characters are like, "ok, cool". Instant acceptance. I can't really give examples without spoiling the story. The plot is a bit messy and unfocused. The title is kind of misleading. Second chance implies that they're rekindling their past relationship but they were actually just strangers who had sex without seeing each others faces. And don't get me started on that whole situation. 🤦♀️That was the worst part of this book for me. I cringed through that chapter. They meet at a Halloween party. She's in a room resting her sore feet when he comes in the room. He asked who she was and she replied someone he shouldn't mess with. Next thing I know, she's asking this dude to fight her. These two nutjobs are judo wrestling on the ground when all of a sudden her clothes accidentally rip off of her. Lol yeah ok. Then, just like any cheesy porno, they're having sex. Who in their right mind has unprotected sex with a stranger?! In some places the story is rushed and then way too drawn out in others. There are a lot of questions left unanswered and situations that need closure but all in all, it was an ok read.
There is so much to this story so that by calling it merely a romance is doing it a grave injustice. Yes, it is a love story but love comes in many forms and in this we see Eli and his adorable little girl begin to love each other as she is clearly frightened of him in the beginning. The transformation is undoubtedly due to Quinn who brought in to teach his little girl. Eli doesn't realise at the time that he has 'met' Quinn before - many years ago in the same house at a Halloween Party held by his late wife's family. That night changed Quinn's life forever. Her family's farm is just next door and they are being intimidated into selling it but they are striving to resist. Eli finds himself drawn to Quinn and her young son who reminds himself of what he used to be like. The two children get on so well and it seems as if the parents are bonding too. There is kidnapping, assault, threats, abuse and attempted murder in this fabulous book by the best selling author Ashlee Price that just really impressed me. This is by far her best book yet and I do encourage you all to give this a chance as it encompasses so much and is so well written. There are well developed characters, a detailed and intricate storyline that is quite unique as well as love, in it's many forms and passion. Eli, Quinn and the two children are so easy to love and this is one story that I will remember and re-read as it is just so entertaining. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended
I wholeheartedly enjoyed this story. Author Ashlee Pice gave the story engaging characters especially Eli, Quinn, and her family. With the appearance of her younger brother Chase, I would like to see a book 2 about him (hint hint). Even the two children, Clive and Marianne were adorable and their behavior age appropriate. I am recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.
Not that the male MC was all that great but it was the female MC that ruined any chance I had of liking this book. There were lots of little things about her but the two big problems for me were 1) believing the bad guy when he says bad things about the male lead without questioning it at all and 2) doing the dumb ‘oh I’m in big trouble and rather than tell the guy I love I’m going to go behind his back and screw everything up’. She fell into the TSTL category for me and the unnecessary, eye rolling, angst did nothing for the story.
This is an amazing story bh Ashlee Price,,,, I really enjoyed it,,,,
Quinn Rose Hardy has 4 brothers,,,, Steven, Daniel, Charlie and Chase and her father died when Quinn was 3, her mother never remarried ,,,, her brother Charlie dies serving in Afghanistan, Chase has gone missing for a year now, Steven is older and Daniel is very smart and in college and is younger than Quinn,,,, Quinn goes to a Halloween party on campus one night,,,, she has to work as a waitress as she needs the money,,,, she is looking somewhere to take her 20 minute break and finally finds a room, maybe a library of sorts,,, she sits down and relaxes, until the man in an executioners costume comes in,,,, they talk a bit and then they start kissing,,,, it starts to get hot and heavy, she's a virgin, but, she likes what this man's doing to her and they go all the way with no protection,,,, and she never knows his name,, she becomes a teacher and a mother of a little boy named Clive,,, but she can't ever tell Clive about his father as she just knows him as the executioner,,,,,
Eli Strauss was married to Meredith, they called her Merry for short,,, they were a happy couple until the night their daughter was born,,,, Merry had always been a frail person, and once the baby was born, she slipped away from this world, but, naming the baby Marianne before she died,,,, Eli is rich and powerful but he cannot take care of his baby, as he feels it's his fault that Merry died during childbirth as she was such a frail individual,,,, so, then, his mother-in-law takes Marianne for the next few years until her husband gets prostate cancer and Marianne has to move in with her father Eli,,,, they end up back on Merry's farm where she grew up, as Eli is now the only relation alive,,,, He meets Quinn there and signs Marianne up for homeschooling as she is the only teacher for miles and he really likes Clive,,,, and Quinn reminds him of someone he met years ago,,,,

Quinn is away at college going to a Halloween party with friends when she escapes into a quiet room to be alone. She isn't there long before a masked man comes in and they flirt before she tries to show him self defense moves her brother taught her only to find herself at his mercy. Things heat up and they end up having sex and he leaves soon after. Now ten years later Quinn is living on her family's farm raising her nine year old son when she gets an offer to teach a little girl next door to them. When she arrives the little girl is hiding from everyone and she finds her hiding in a hollowed out tree. Eli is still grieving over his wife's death in child birth and hasn't be very receptive towards his young daughter. When Quinn agrees to teach her but only if he agrees to her condition Eli knows that she'll be the one to change things around his home. When he learns how things are with his son he knows that she understands some of what he is going through. Its not long before they give in to temptation and have sex. Nothing could prepare Quinn for finding out that Eli is the guy she slept with in college as when she saw the same tattoo on him when they had sex. What will Eli do when he learns that Quinn is the girl he hooked up with that Halloween? How will he respond to being a father to a nine year old?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Quinn and Eli and off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any of my book friends.

Quinn Hardy loses her virginity on Halloween night to a stranger. With no name or face she cannot confront him about her son. The son who is now 9 and needs a father in his life.
Eli Strauss comes to town to take over his father n law’s estate. His wife died 5 years ago during the birth of his daughter. The same daughter that his mother n law has raised since birth. Not having a relationship with his daughter is biting him in the butt now. She acts out and gets into trouble all the time. It doesn’t help that Eli has no idea how to communicate with the child that reminds him of his late wife.
Eli hires Quinn to teach his daughter. But Quinn has conditions. 1) He must eat dinner with his daughter every night. 2) He must tuck her into bed. 3) She does not work for him, she works for her. 4) No treatment as if she is the staff. Simple Rules right?!
As time goes on and they learn more about each other Eli and Quinn’s relationship begins to form a strong bond. But something is off…maybe a sense of déjà vu. When Quinn’s family’s farm is threatened, Eli decides to step in to protect her. Because of this turn of events, deep secrets are revealed. Will their relationship survive?
Overall this book is a hot sexy read. With explosive chemistry these two characters will ignite the pages. It is a steady paced read full of action and hot romance. This book will have your head spinning it has so many twists. Definitely keeps things interesting. This is one second chance romance that will have you begging for more. So curl up on the couch and break out the wine, because your are in for a ride.
I received an ARC from Ms. Price via Booksprout, and this is my honest review. Most Eligible Daddy is a romantic and entertaining book. Quinn, the youngest and only female in her family goes away to college where her roommate tells her to finally let loose and do something wild before she graduates and returns to the family farm. Eli is a billionaire who has a wild streak in college. A few years later, Eli inherits the farmhouse that belongs to his belated wife's family. Unbeknownst to Eli and Quinn, their farms are next to each other and their past comes back to intertwine their lives. When love, gangsters, and children all mingle together, only the truth, honesty, and family will see them through the tough times.
I loved the family dynamics and how the story was written. It felt realistic instead of the usual girl falls in love quickly and bam everything falls in to place. The plot was entertaining and kept me guessing what will happen next. The chemistry between Quinn and Eli is scorching and intense. The family dynamics is realistic and had me laughing. The characters are brought to life and worm their way in to your mind and heart. I highly recommend Most Eligible Daddy to those 18+ due to language, sexual scenes, and violence. Thank you Ms. Price and Booksprout for allowing me to read your book. I look forward to reading more of your work.

This is more of a second chance romance which starts on Halloween and then 10 years later repeats itself with a HEA. Quinn is working at a Halloween party during her college days and during her break she gets away to find some peace and quiet, only to be interrupted by this gorgeous guy in which she gives him her virginity after denying she was one. They leave their masks on, so they don’t know each other. Years pass, and Eli, the gorgeous guy is now married, and his wife passes away giving birth, well he firmly believes that it is his fault that she dies, so he doesn’t want anything to do with his daughter. Year pass again and Eli and his daughter are forced to move to the country where his late wife grew up on and the drama begins. I will leave it at that so that I don’t give out the whole story. I will admit there are some parts to the story that could have been thought out a little better, but overall you get the gist of it. I liked that she kept me intrigued from the very beginning. This is a must read, it involves a lot from losing a loved one, to learning to let go and love again, to be forgiving and understanding.

Quinn is far from home at college and her overprotective family, but when she gets a job during a Halloween party, she meets this hot, handsome, mystery man. They share a hot passionate encounter, but never exchanged information. From that night, this man gave Quinn the most beautiful baby boy!! But will Quinn be enough for her son? But when a teaching job comes up at an old farm, she jumps at the chance, but she didn't know this would change everything, or will it?
Elijah is a rich businessman, who blames himself for his wife's death. This has led his daughter to be skiddish around him. But he wants to connect with her, but he doesn't know how. With Quinn there, his daughter seems to open up more and more...can he have that too? Will Quinn be too much for him to handle? Eli is drawn to Quinn like never before, but similar to the draw the mystery woman at Halloween had on him, could it be?
This is a sort of second chance romance, but very passionate, and interesting. I enjoyed the book very much! Love does conquer, if you get out of the way and open your heart. Will Eli learn this lesson? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
One night of free living, one party and one misterious man - a baby. Ten years later they meet but don't know who they really are. Quinn is a home school teacher to her son Clive. They get new neighbors and they need a teacher for a five year old Marianne. The girl is wild, crying all the time and disobedient. With Quinns rules and teaching she forces her dad Eli to send time with her. Eli is attracted to Quinn and after thier kiss and sex she finds out that he is her sons father. After lots of us and downs they finally get to live together. I loved the fact thst they really did not know who they were when they meet the first and second time. His grief of his wife, their daughter, her struggle to get by on families farm, her son... The danger of losing their farm and the people behind it. It all comes beautifully down to their trust in one snither and their feelings.

Most Eligible Daddy is on terrific storyline and plot, there is so many layers to Quinn & Eli's journey to their HEA that this book is one worthy of one-clicking and adding to your Kindle library. This book brings to the forefront how much Ashlee Price has grown as an author, this one will hook you from the first night soulmates meet at a masquerade party without exchanging names or seeing each other's faces. But, their heat was undeniable so it's no surprise years later when only a tattoo & mannerisms give way to memories that reignite the flame between Quinn & Eli. I don't really like using the 'ol "must read" comment but for Most Eligible Daddy by Ashlee Price I cannot stress enough that this one is a definite 'must read' no matter how cliche it is. I did receive an advance copy, ARC, from the author via BookSprout, the book was too fabulous to not purchase it myself and I also am voluntarily leaving my voluntary opinion with this review.
ONE INCREDIBLY DELIGHTFUL ADVENTURE!!! Oh man, talk about jumping in head first. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, ins and outs, along with a few rough patches that really rock this little guy. Action packed, hard hitting, pulse racing, heart pounding, page turning delight that captivates from the start. With all the drama, fear, danger and suspense building throughout and tension thickening you get up close and personal. The characters are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You feel what they feel and ride that emotional rollercoaster right along with 'em. The scenes are so graphically detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Ashlee did an amazing job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Ashlee, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Ashlee Price once again takes the normal romance book and notches it up to a full-blown adventure! She takes control of the reader from the first page and has you running at full speed to keep up with her. Ms. Price ratches up the tension, both sexual and dangerous, and always keeps you guessing what is on the next page. All the emotions that her characters feel, with her talent, she simultaneously draws the reader into the story, so that you also feel them all first hand. The sensuous intoxication of the first time, the frustration of childhood, the sleaziness, the sexual tensions, the fear, loss, and the uncertainties of life. She will have you laughing, anxious, biting your nails and definitely crying (keep a box of tissues near-by you'll need them),. Ashlee Price, although it isn't neccessary, proves once again, that she belongs on the top of the list for romance writters!
Seriously, I have been a huge fan of romance for years and with help of Ashlee, it is always a need fulfilled. With superior quality books for all of us, (everytime) Most Eligible Daddy is another example of her incredible talent. Her latest publication includes realistically crafted characters, as well as a wonderfully written romance, with drama and a whirlwind of emotions throughout. This book will melt your heart and then mend together again, seamlessly. I am positive that you will be as enraptured as myself with Quinn and Eli. Follow along as these two find themselves facing the HEA they never expected.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Most Eligible Daddy in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. This is another must read book by Ms. Price.
Quinn meets Eli at a Halloween party but don’t know each other because they are wearing masks and don’t share names. Quinn ends up pregnant and is raising her son as a single mother. Eli has married, has become a widower and has a young daughter. He has been left the farm of his late father-in-law, moves in and unbeknownst to him is next door to Quinn’s family farm. Eli hires her to tutor his daughter. She finally recognises the tattoo on his chest from the party and realises that he is her son’s father. Life gets complicated with an evil, greedy, jealous competitor and a gang leader who thinks holding hostages will gain him a ransom. Nicely written. A bit stretched out but still worth reading. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Eli and Quinn meet as strangers at a Halloween party and never see each other again for 9 years. In between they have both gone on with their lives even though that one night had left them with a lasting connection. They find themselves in each other’s company again and the sparks start to fly. Through a series of events they realize they share a child together and decide to join households together. Quinn becomes a surrogate mom to Eli’s daughter and he gets to help her family fend off the corporate enemies knocking at her family’s door. When all is resolved they become a wonderfully fulfilled and happy family.

Quinn meets Eli at a college frat party. The meeting is explosive to say the least. The bad thing was she never got his name, and he never got her name. Eli married Merry and then she dies right after giving birth to Marianne. Guilt , anger and sadness rack Eli for years to the point that he is unable to care for his daughter and lets Merry's mother raise Marianne until his dad gets sick. Eli inherited a house and farm in Quinn's hometown. Quinn had to go home after the frat party because she got pregnant. She raises her son, Clive by herself with her mother and brother's help. She can't tell anyone who the father is because she only knows him as the guy with the raven tattoo or the executioner. Will they be able to get past the unknown and get together or not?
It’s a second chance romance except Quinn and Eli doesn’t realize they are getting a second chance. Their first meeting was steamy and the second time they met, the sparks threw them off. The main characters, even the two children’s personality, are well-developed. It was entertaining to watch Quinn and Eli find each other again. I like the plot of the story. My only complaint was Quinn’s decision at that one dangerous conflict. I guess if she had behaved rationally, there would be no action and suspense at the end. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.] If this book is the start of a series about the rest of Quinn’s siblings, it’s a good start!
This was a great read that drew me in from the first page and kept me enthralled to the very end.
Quinn has a one night stand with a hot stranger at halloween party she is working at they go their separate ways never even seeing one another faces as they were wearing masks. Years later Eli who is now a single father after his wife died in childbirth has moved to the area his wife grew up in He has never forgiven himself and blames himself for her death. Now fate is playing a dirty trick he needs a nanny for his daughter and employs Quinn how does she tell him that she is the girl from the halloween party and that there was consequences to their night. There are plenty of twists and turns and family drama to keep you enthralled to the very last page.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Quinn and Eli. The first time they meet it was at a Halloween party and neither knew who the other was by way of their masks. Little did either of them know what would happen after that night. Both of them have been fighting their own battles since that night. Can they find a way past their pain and find a way to a HEA or will outside forces makes sure that never happens?
This is an amazing story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I loved Quinn. She was a really strong woman who was I afraid to tell Elijah, her new employer, exactly how she felt about how he interacted with his daughter. Elijah wasn’t cold because he didn’t like his daughter but because of the guilt he felt about the loss of his wife. Quinn is just the right medicine to bring him out of himself and to heal his relationship with his daughter & teach him to live again. Wonderfully created characters combined with a story that will melt your heart make this a book not to be missed.

Brilliantly Written. This is one action packed story with dangerous and devious characters that will surely impact more than two people. When you read Eli and Quinn's story that starts at a Halloween party with a quickie in the library not ever knowing who each other are. You'll than travel through the years until a happenstance brings them together again and this second chance story will have your heart twisted your emotions tested and will have you hanging on by your fingernails till the final page is turned. Nice job Ashlee for this intriguing book.

I was immediately entranced by this story the moment I started reading it and so couldn't put it down unless I was sleeping!!!! This book blew me away, it had suspense, intrigue, hot ass romance it had me in tears! Eli is one bull headed, strong and tormented soul who lost his wife and was blaming himself and making others miserable around him until he meets Quinn, the stubborn, wholehearted and kind person who wouldn't put up with his crap and ended up being the one to bring him back to reality. The twists and turns were spot on as well as their chemistry.

Quinn and Elijah (Eli) first meet during a Halloween party where they have a hookup. Neither of them knowing who the other is because they left their masks on. Years later they meet again when Quinn is hired to be a teacher to Marianne Eli's little girl. I really enjoyed this book. Eli and Quinn were great characters and had amazing chemistry. I loved how Quinn wasn't afraid to speak.her mind stood up to Eli for being cold toward his daughter. The story is well written, well developed with an entertaining storyline. A great read that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. I voluntarily received an advanced arc copy through Booksprout for an honest review.
