Charlotte Sainte-Claire doesn’t have much cause to celebrate. The day started with the sexy subject of her schoolgirl crush walking in on her after a wardrobe malfunction, then proceeded from bad to worse when her mother announced that she would be claimed by a demon.
Because that’s not crazy at all.
Professor Weston Ryans has known Charlotte since her days as one of his students. Though they are nothing more than friendly colleagues these days, he clearly recalls her enthusiasm, wit, and the litany of sinful things he wanted to do with her after hours. After catching her off-guard and costing her a blouse, he decides to smooth things over, only to overhear that his favorite former student is about to be demon chow. Something Weston is all too familiar with.
Suddenly everything is thrown into question. Charlotte is about to change, but she doesn't believe it. Weston is determined to help, but he doesn't know how, and the clock is ticking. Yet when the transformation starts, Charlotte finds herself hungry for one thing…and Weston is more than willing to cater to her needs.

My favorite books are the ones that make me laugh. Throw in some demons and I'm excited! Then, you add a sexy Indiana Jones-esque professor and some hot, kinky sex and I'm a goner. This book has all that and more! You don't have to read the Sinners and Saints series to enjoy this, but I LOVE the Sinners and Saints series and think everyone should read it! Rosalie Stanton uses her amazing imagination to create another awesome paranormal romance!
An intriguing claimed by a demon on the eve of the 25th birthday romance story, with twist, and turns. Amazing strong characters. It is written well. I liked reading the book and a pleasure to review it.
University librarian Clarice St. Clair turns twenty-five and receives a big surprise present from her mother. A deal with a demon exists since before she was born, so in three days she will become a succubus. She has a feeling her parents do not like her, but a demon contract…seriously? Such news, along with her old school girl crush Weston walking into her office and seeing her in an embarrassing situation, makes this her worst birthday yet.
Professor Weston Ryans has known Clarice since being a student of his and one of his favorites. They work together now, but he still remembers how much he likes her and the naughty things he has thought of doing with her after class. While on the way to apologize for walking in on her, he overhears her mother’s birthday surprise concerning a demon contract. He knows all about them…since he has lost his father to one.
Clarice does not believe demons are real, no matter what. The transformation to succubus is awaking her hungers, which Weston is willing to quench. Weston is determined to help her and prove his feelings are for her and not the succubus. There are only three days to get free of the contract. Is that enough time for her to be convinced?
The story is written well enough, so I have had no need for a back-story to understand what is going on and enjoy it. This is technically a companion book and you do not have to have read the other books in the “Sinners and Saints’ series. After reading it, though, I really want to read the other ones. The relationship and scenes between Clarice and Weston are “just right”. They are not over done, just enough humor, just enough snark and just enough hotness. The description of Lucifer, not a horn and winged horror but a handsome impeccably dressed man poke at the traditional thoughts about demons, not to mention that of Pixley, the deranged hooker taking care of the demon contracts. In fact, passing it off as business only adds to the humor. Despite the seriousness of the situation, much funny is thrown in. I like reading stories that make me laugh, and I would read it again.
This quote from the book where Lucifer introduces himself and Clarice responding to it really made me laugh. “He chuckled. “One of the less expressive greetings I’ve received. Hello. Ms. St. Clair, I presume?” The devil extended a hand. “Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m a man of wealth and taste.”
She blinked and accepted his proffered handshake. “Did you just … quote the Rolling Stones?”
“Why not? It’s one of my favorite songs, despite the historical inaccuracies. As to myself, I answer to many names, but you may call me Lucifer.”
Nothing could explain the next words that came from her mouth. “Are you always this corny?””
Rosalie Stanton is a fairly new author to me and this is such an amazing read. It’s Charlotte’s birthday today and she’s meeting her mother and her sister Chloe for lunch and she was not looking forward to it at all. Her mother started to tell Charlotte that she couldn’t have a baby so she went to see a witch who summoned a demon, Araxiel said that she will have two children but he wants the 2nd one and that he will collect her on the exact time she turns 25 and her mother agreed to the bargain. Charlotte knew that her mother hated her but to have it thrown in her face and make up some kind of story about a demon her mother was nuts, now more than ever a Charlotte needed a lot of vodka so Charlotte and her sister walked out on their mother. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but know that there is so much more to this story to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I absolutely loved this story it’s a fantastic story a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Charlotte topped the time I spent my birthday in traffic court - and got a really big fine (note to self, never continue to speed when in a speed trap zone: if you ever need to speed up or get creamed by an oncoming truck or slammed into a logging truck - SLOW DOWN or pull over when you are done passing. )
Charlotte got told by her crazy mother that she was going to be claimed by a demon on the eve of her 25th birthday.
No joke - and it turns out, he did more than claim the second born child of her parents - he fathered her.
Looking for a loophole leads to some sexy fun adventures for Charlotte and Weston - her long time crush/ man who also secretly crushed on her.
Deals with demons intending to save those they love abound - by the touch of God can intervene.
An eschatological sexcapade - yes I never thought I would type those words.
Seriously humorous and thought provoking!

What would YOU do if your beloved (what a joke) mother told you that at the age of 25 (tomorrow) you would become a demon because she sold YOUR soul (not hers) to the devil?? Freak the heck out is what I would do !! But Charlotte is so confused and heart broken she doesn't quite believe what her own mother has done. Not until Weston comes to save her soul with something unexpected ... love. This is a sexy little number and I thoroughly enjoyed it !! And I think you will too.
Charlotte is a somewhat bashful librarian who is told by her mother on her 25th birthday that she is going to be claimed by a demon that very night. And all because of an agreement made by her parents before she was born!
I won't go into details, but will say the plot is interesting, and peppered with moderately hot sex. I think romance readers will enjoy this book.

This was a fantastic read! It was original, had great characters, plenty of steamy scenes, and a bunch of surprises. The relationship between Charlotte and her mother gave it the perfect amount of angst and a sort-of fairytale re-telling vibe. I absolutely loved it and I think other romance lovers will, too.

Now that its time to collect on her dept Weston Ryans has stepped in to help find a loop hole in the demons contract in order to keep Clarice around. He refuses to lose her now that he’s finally found the nerve to tell her he loves her.
I’m not normally a huge fan or paranormal books, but this short story was an enjoyable and interesting read. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone.
This book is a funny sexy read, I couldn't put it down. I got invested in the characters really fast and OMG Charlotte's mum is something else! It made me want to want to read more of Rosalie Stanton's books. Definitely a favourite!
