Fun With Pedophiles: The Best of Baiting

Rate this book
Adults only! Strong language and themes! The Best of Baiting is a collection of some of the most vulgar, disturbing and painfully hilarious pranks in the history of the internet. Baiting is the art of luring unsuspecting pedophiles (as well as the occasional religious zealots and others) into online chat with a false persona and then turning the conversations into the most vile, merciless and hilariously abusive logs ever recorded on the World Wide Web. This book will leave you less afraid of internet predators, yet more terrified knowing that people this stupid live among us without supervision. Either way, you will never look at Instant Messenger the same way again.

I had to rate it 3 as I can't decide if its actually a 1 or a 5. I love Doug Stanhope, he is a great stand up comic. Here he tries to attracts pedophiles and then tries to upset them. you see this is where the issue is, the discussion where these guys think they are talking to a child makes me feel really quite ill. The good part is the ending where he then roasts the dirty nonces. I just hope Doug sent all the info to the police when he was done

Holy shit....

you take an amazing offensive comedian like Stanhope, he goes online and poses as an underage girl, when perverts come talk to him he strings them along making the conversation more and more ridiculous and exaggerated.

laugh out loud funny if you enjoy offensive humor.

shame it's so short.

This is the most horrible book (?) I've ever read. I've never laughed harder reading anything.

This might be the most vulgar and disgusting piece of literature I've ever had the pleasure of reading. It is also the most hilarious. I laughed so hard that my face turned red, I ran out of breath, and saw spots floating in my vision afterwards.

I've been a huge fan of Doug Stanhope's comedy for many years (the man's a genius). So when I found out he had a book out, I had to jump on it. I was not disappointed and neither will you.

All I can say is "wow". From the twisted mind of stand-up comic Doug Stanhope, this book reproduces the instant messenger transcripts from his "baiting" website, circa 2004. Baiting is the act of setting up false online personas to trap online predators/religious wackos. But instead of going in the "To Catch a Predator" vein, he takes it in a direction that only a severely perverted, dirty comic can. This book is definitely not for the faint of heart and had me alternately laughning myself to tears and then feeling so skeeved out I wanted to take a shower. If you enjoy comics such as Doug Stanhope, or even Jim Jefferies, then take the time to try to search out this little gem. You have been warned.

wow - just wow. Doug Stanhope at his finest - over the top offensive and typically too short. He collected transcripts of online chats where he pretends to be a 12 year old girl/boy/some hybrid/cripple/professional abortionist and engages anyone who talks to him under that premise - usually with cringe-worthy literary imagery and laughter.

The quote on the cover says it all: "A minute ago I had you liking blood and feces off the fist you just pulled out of a headless dead hooker's ass..... but NOW I went too far?"

Initially, it is very funny, but it soon gets repetitive and unoriginal. But it would be a 10/10 segment in a "To Catch A Predator" or something like that.

It's more of a pamphlet then a book, and it's probably not suitable for anybody.

It's also one of the funniest things I've read. :(

I've been a Stamhope fan for a long time, and if you enjoy his brand of humor this is fantastic. For those not used to his hyper-vulgar style...it may not be for you.

We've seen he used this Pedophiles routine quite a lot on his show but not as hilarious as what he did to those people on the net.

A brutal, sick, disturbing - sometimes hilarious - act of vigilantism in calling out sickness from fantasy. Only Stanhope eh.
