"By Her Hand" is a short story that is the prequel to The Blue Devil Book One and the first book of many to come in the world of the chöąts.
I’m not a good person, and sometimes people forget that.
They think that because I’ve done a few good things, I must not be as bad as everyone claims. They think it’s an overstatement when people call me “devil,” that I’ve been misjudged because of my previous actions. That’s not true. The truth is that sometimes bad people do good things, and sometimes good people do bad things. The truth is that sometimes you just don’t fall evenly into one category or the other.
Where I land is still in question.

I read this story after I finished The Blue Devil and I realised that it might have been better to read this story first. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it greatly, as I was already familiar with Blue, and her nature, and her quirks. 
Blue is a fantastic character, full of magic, love, anger, and her own personal sense of justice. She is stuck with a job of killing people, not by choice but as a result of an agreement, and she keeps her end of the bargain.
This is a great short story to start off this amazing series.

Must Read

I must have the next book! Blue is easy to adore, I find her to be hysterical. This book is a fantastic foundation for what is obviously going to be an entertaining series. Quirah writes an alpha MC that is real, raw and so very fresh. She eases you into her story by giving you just enough description to let you use your imagination in her world. Quirah is clearly an intelligent and inventive author and I look forward to what she has in store for her readers

By Her Hand is a very promising prequel to the to-be-released "The Blue Devil". The author's skill is remarkable when it comes to painting a vivid and interesting world, and the character of Blue. I like the author's style of writing, it's very engaging. The story keeps me entertained, so much so that I keep on flipping the pages only to be reminded that it's a short story. I'll definitely look forward to reading the next book.

Short but good

This is a short story. It's an introduction into the world we will be seeing when the series begins. Our FMC is what we concentrate on in this story. She is an assassin, a dragon, a survivor and a prisoner. I like her so far.
Overall, I would recommend this story. I think the full length books are going to be interesting!

Good intro

This prequel introduces us to the Blue Devil, a dragon shifter assassin. We get a sneak peak at some of her personality and ruthlessness, as well as her abilities and the world she lives in. We also get a sneak peak at the first chapter of the first full book of the series, which solidifies my curiosity, I need more!

Introducing Blue

Short story that introduces us to Blue and her world. Blue is a badass - she’s independent, strong and can look after herself. Don’t look for a sweet and cuddly main character, Blue is snarky and isn’t instantly likeable. That doesn’t stop this character from making an impact in a short amount of time.

"By Her Hand" is a prequel in the form of a short story and it is a great introduction to the series that helps you get a good feel for the character and an insight of what to come. I love Blue and I can't wait for the next book.

I really enjoy this authors writing style. Though I wish this bite were longer. It's been awhile since I've read a first person POV that didnt feel shallow, and managed to show the story rather than tell. Looking forward to the first full book.
