Honestly there wasn't that much to this one, but I still liked it. Both main characters were likable and the series plot moved forward a bit. But there wasn't that much action. I enjoy this series and the author. I love seeing the glimpses of the Scanguard guys. Great to see the hybrids growing up. I'll definitely read the next book. Happy reading!
Ich kenne ihre ganzen Bücher und mittlerweile überschneidet sich vieles. Zum Beispiel das Ende ist fast genauso wie bei Samson und Delilah aus Band 1 der Scanquards Vampire Reihe.

This book had me re-hooked on the series. After Manus playing so prominently in the mating stories of the other warriors, it was good to see him struck dumb by a woman.
Kim is the almost-witness of her mother’s murder and she can’t let it go. The police have essentially given up, but the strangeness of the incident haunts her. Manus is the stealth guardian tasked with convincing him to let it go so she stops calling attention to the demon activity related to her mom’s death. In typical swagger fashion, Manus goes into the situation assuming Kim will completely believe his fabricated story and cover. Not only does she not believe him, but she ends up uncovering even more secrets he’s trying to shove under the rug.
These two are not exactly an unlikely pair, but it was still a nice amount of romance required. I felt more invested in this couple than some of the last, so it was nice to watch it play out. I’m definitely here to see this series wrap up, so happy that these books are headed in the right direction now!
Manus has suffered the loss of his family and permanent scarring, which has made him close himself off to others. Kim’s mother was recently murdered and she witnessed paranormal activity that brought her to the attention of the Stealth Guardians. The attraction is pretty quick but, their relationship grows with trust and honesty. Like all of the books this author writes, characters have long term friendships and welcome new members into their fold. Kim and Manus must work together to find the cause of her mother’s demise and to prevent further tragedy. This is a great series and the intertwining with the Scanguards characters only enhances it.
Magnus is an egotistical jerk. So full of himself. In this story he’s assigned to deal with the daughter of a murdered human, a Guardian emissarius who won’t stop investigating the murder. The Guardians know who did it and have taken care of it, but unfortunately for him and fortunately for Kim he has an unexpected change of heart.
Her BF Jennifer is a wonderful friend. So supportive.
Footnote: 1) it’s a shame Kim lost her grandmother’s things after having been kept for her all this time.
Fave scenes: Jennifer finding the bracelet, Kim following Magnus, green demon blood stains and the red party drinks.
This book is Manus's story and how he is tasked to convince a mortal named Kim that what she witnessed in her mother's house was not a real vortex and that her mother's death was just a burglary gone wrong. This author has a way of writing that keeps you so engrossed in the story that time just flies by. It is exciting, sad at times, familiar with the appearance of some of our favorite Scanguard characters, and a few intense sexual encounters. Wow! I love this series.
I love the Stealth Guardians because we also get to see the Scanguards team as well. Manus has always been stand offish with women in earlier books but once he met Kim, his guard started coming down. The warriors are loyal to each other and their mates, making the compound the perfect place for them all to co-exist. And as always, Zoltan and his demons are up to no good.
Enjoyable if a bit slow due to not much happening in the overall back story. Manus was likeable but it took a bit of time to warm up to Kim. Mainly due to her attitude and behaviour in the first half. Lovely to catch up with the Scanguards crew, even if only briefly and having Ryder and Grayson working with the Stealth Guardians is entertaining. Grayson certainly has some growing up to do. Read in the box set through Kindle Unlimited.
Manus and Kim’s story was filled with hurdles and paranoia, and watching the couple prevail and save the guardians from certain demise. Their story gave us a glimpse into the lives of beloved scanguards characters, and helped us get to know a few of the vampires progeny. All in all, I loved the story 😍
The fight against evil is an ongoing fight that lasts a lifetime. There are always groups in the fight sometimes evil gains a foothold. But good will triumph in the end.
Really enjoyed reading ad much ad the first 4 books. Can't put this down. Looking forward to reading the next in the series. Loved the ending. Highly recommend reading.
I am loving the crossover this series is taking. Getting Manus’ story this time. I enjoyed having him get his happy ending and getting to know a different side of him.
There are not enough words to describe this series. I love it. I enjoy the cross over and cannot wait to see how Zoltan finally gets what he has coming to him.
The pieces are starting to fall into place now. It is getting real exciting now. Tina has a way of making you get excited about wanting to find out what is coming next.
