YOU AND I ARE MORE LIKE SOUL MATES WHO MATCH

The saga continues in the Alex and Anna Chronicles with the fast approaching wedding to be the Saturday after Thanksgiving. While this story is the second in the series, it is well written and could be read and followed as a stand-alone.

The plot will have Alex and Anna making plans for their future, and Alex realizes that Anna has the best of intentions of doing everything for the wedding herself, but can see she is also becoming overwhelmed. He will step in and make her admit the issue and then share his backup plan that is needed.

The story also brings back Dan Parker along with his anger from losing his job working for Alex and trying for revenge against Anna. It will have Anna’s best friend, Karen and her husband Chip, and some of the issues and concerns facing a pregnant woman.

Alex is aware that she and Anna's sister, are estranged and have been for many years and also knows that it is upsetting to her that Stacy has not sent in her RSVP on attending the wedding. While Anna tries to act brave and brush it off, he decides that he must take action. There will be several surprises on that front within the story.

The story will include more than one couple who use and talk about domestic discipline in their relationship. It will have several mild spanking scenes, but no sex scenes. I love the open and honest discussions among the characters, how they show respect, but if the lady gets out-of-control, her man knows just how to right a situation, even if it means she will sit on a sore bottom. Correction isn’t always a spanking; it can include writing lines when warranted.

The relationship of Alex and Anna include their strong Christian values, their church, along with the premises that the man is the head of the household and that she will accept his guidance. For Alex and Anna to chose to wait for marriage is rare, with Anna still a virgin makes this story sweet—their marriage night will not include sex scenes in the story.

The story is simplistic and emotional with likable characters, human emotions, some angst, strong friendships, clearing preconceived ideas, new beginnings, and family. Yes, the relationship to the marriage of Alex and Anna was quick, but the chemistry between them is strong. I look forward to the next book that will be their first Christmas together.

Alex is a man who has the best intentions for Anna, including encouraging her to pursue her dream of designing pretty but acceptable business attire. I think more of that will be in her future.

“I think I am the luckiest woman in the whole and entire world to be married to such a loving man. I am truly a happy wife.”

I originally picked up the first book in this series, driven by my love for reading themed stories around various holidays. To my delight, I discovered that each installment revolves around different celebratory occasions, making them perfectly suited for my reading preferences.

While the characters initially came across as somewhat flat and straightforward, they have gradually evolved as the storyline has progressed. The author has been enriching their backgrounds and personalities, yet I can't help but notice a recurring theme: nearly everyone the characters encounter seems to share a remarkably similar lifestyle to that of the main protagonists. This coincidence makes it challenging to suspend disbelief, as it’s hard to accept that so many individuals inhabit this close-knit community without having crossed paths before.

At the heart of the narrative, we find Anna and Alex, a couple deeply enamored with each other, eagerly preparing for their wedding on the festive Thanksgiving weekend. Their relationship exudes perfection, yet lurking beneath the surface are significant obstacles that threaten their joy. Anna harbors a secret from her fiancé, prompting Alex to embark on a relentless quest for the truth—one that may lead him to take a rather unconventional approach, even if it means administering discipline to his betrothed.

The story is rich with emotional depth, filled with heartfelt reunions and the evolving dynamics of friendships as families expand. It is an engaging read that perhaps could have benefited from a tighter narrative; nonetheless, it captivates the reader. The narrative style evokes a sense reminiscent of the 1950s, yet it incorporates modern elements that create a uniquely thought-provoking experience. It’s important to note that the theme of domestic discipline plays a significant role throughout the plot.

Alex knows the pain of loss after losing both his wife daughter and the discover that they are soul mates enjoying the same things, she helps his to laugh again and he helps her to find love and laughter they are so very happy and cannot wait to begin their lives together…
Anna is a dressmaker and Alex has helped to inspire her in believing in herself, believing in her dressmaking and is going to undertake a new business in hand made fitted clothes, she is so amazing and Alex is always so proud she has a big heart and occasionally a fiery temper, she is soon introduced to his lap and his hand on her bottom….
Karen and Chip both Anna’s and Alex’s baby decides to bring herself in to the world three months early much to everyone’s surprise, it was a wonderful wedding and it was wonderful to know their new Niece’s birthday would always remind them of their wedding day, how truly wonderful.

Book two of the Alex and Anna Chronicles focuses on the wedding. Anna tries to do everything, but Alex is prepared to step in with a backup plan. Of course, Anna has a couple of spankings for pre-wedding stress.

Alex discovers the problem history between Anna and her older sister Stacey. Both have misunderstandings about the other. But when forced to talk to each other by their husbands, they realize how much they have in common and start healing and becoming close sisters.

Anna's best friend Karen is pregnant, but Alex thinks she is closer to delivery than she thinks, or she is carrying twins. Karen's water breaks at the wedding reception, which has the bridal party heading to the hospital for the birth of Karen and Chip's daughter.

Dan, the fake fiancé from book one, turns up drunk and planning to beat Anna up. But Anna defends herself, and he is arrested. Once sober and in AA, Dan turns a leaf and earns a second chance at his career.

Endearing couples and spanking fun. Can't wait for Christmas!

A really good Thanksgiving romance. 💞🦃🍁🍂💞

Anna and Alex are getting close to their wedding date when Alex realizes that Anna has taken on too much. He gives her a chance to ask for help but when she won't admit how overwhelmed she feels, he steps in. It's a lovely story about sharing the burden of life and forgiveness.💖

It is the follow up to A Labor Day Picnic in The Alex and Anna Chronicles and isn't really a standalone book. It's also about "domestic discipline" so if that's not something you are into... don't read this one. 😉❤️️ But it is such a romantic story that it really does blend in nicely.

I enjoyed this sweet romance about Alex and Anna. I haven't read book one in the series and I wished I had only once; when I realized Anna was not Alex's first love, I was curious about the backstory. Regardless, I was able to enjoy the book as a stand-alone. Anna is a sweet, innocent young woman who adores Alex and as their wedding approaches, seeks reassurance that she's not just a replacement for his past love. Alex is patient, thoughtful, kind and loving, and I loved the way he spoke to Anna. The book was a feel-good, easy read.

A Thanksgiving Wedding is the continuation of A Labor Day Picnic where Anna and Alex meet for the first time. I recommend to read A Labor Day Picnic first, but this book can also be enjoyed as a standalone read.

As I fell in love with Anna and Alex in the first book, I was delighted to learn there was a follow up. This is a sweet spanking romance about Anna's pre wedding jitters and I enjoyed reading this book very much as well.

I'm done. I officially gave this one up at about 40% in. It was already eye rolling in the over the top stuff that was an issue in the first book, but the nail in the coffin was Dan. Yeah, he's in AA and is NEWLY sober, but this man tried to attack her and RAPE her on 2 separate occasions and she is just too quick to forgive him. Not only that but Alex offers him his job back?!?!?! No. Just no. I hate not finishing a book but this was just too much.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.  Anna and Alex are in a DD relationship and trying to plan the perfect Thanksgiving  wedding.  Weddings are full of stress and add to that, family angst and vengeful anger.  Luckily, dominant men know to to relieve stress.  The hot, stinging way.  You actually get 4 spanking couples in this read.

This was a lovely tale of two people waiting to get married--and the start of their new lives together. As expected, the story was told in a wonderful way, full of love--and spankings. It was also nice to see the relationship not only between the two main characters, but also theirs with those who were important to them.

I am coming into this saga in the second book. But I loved it. It is sweet, intriguing, emotional, fun and so much more. They are having a thanksgiving wedding but all is not what it seems. She has a secret and he knows it. He is determined to find out that and whatever she knows. He loves her and wants all to be good. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.

I enjoyed this sweet story as Alex and Anna continue their Labor Day romance. The romance is sweet and past problems provide a bit more drama. We pick up a few more characters in this one to help move the story along. I look forward to reading more from this couple.

Ok

This is the second story in the series. It's ok, Anna is just a bit too whiny for me and constantly looking for reassurance. Not the greatest story but it was a sweet, quick, holiday read. It's also a.clean read. This series kind of reminds me of a Hallmark movie, just with spanking lol

This is a sweet continuation of Alex and Anna’s story from Labor Day Picnic. In this story there are several couples focused on including Anna’s sister and her husband. It starts with some over the knee discipline and we get to know these couples better. Fun read.
