LOVERS AT HEART, REIMAGINED

Treat Braden wasn't looking for love when Max Armstrong walked into his Nassau resort, but he saw right through the efficient and capable facade she wore like a shield to the sweet, sensual woman beneath. One magnificent evening together sparked an intense connection, and for the first time in his life Treat wanted more than a casual affair. But something caused Max to turn away, and now, after weeks of unanswered phone calls and longing for the one woman he cannot have, Treat is going back to his family's ranch to try to finally move on.

A chance encounter brings Treat and Max together again, and it turns into a night of intense passion and honesty. When Max reveals her secret, painful past, Treat vows to do everything within his power to win Max's heart forever--including helping her finally face her demons head-on.

DESTINED FOR LOVE
BRONZE MEDAL WINNER, Readers' Favorite Awards, Romance Sizzle

Love hot cowboys?
Rex Braden is wealthy, hard working, and fiercely loyal. Sweat at his brow, he works the family ranch by day, then kicks back at night with part time lovers who require nothing more than his physical presence a few times each week. But that was before. Before Jade Johnson, the daughter of the man his father has been feuding with for over forty years, moves back into town.

After ditching a horrific relationship--and her veterinary practice in the process--Jade Johnson returns to the safety of her small hometown and finally finds her footing. That is...until her horse is injured and Rex Braden comes to her rescue. The last thing she needs is a bull-headed, too-handsome-for-his-own-good Braden complicating her life.

Despite the angry family history, sparks fly between Rex and Jade, and attitudes follow. Fifteen years of stifled, forbidden love stirs a surge of passion too strong for either to deny--and the rebel in each of them rears its powerful head. Loyalties are tested, and relationships are strained. Rex and Jade are about to find out if true love really can conquer all.

FRIENDSHIP ON FIRE
SILVER MEDAL WINNER, Readers' Favorite Awards, Romance Sizzle

Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break--working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and--just maybe--explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.

Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.

Josh and Riley's friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every passionate caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley's mentor accuses her of stealing the designs.

You get three full hot-n-ready romances with the sexy boys from Weston, CO . . . Melissa Foster takes you on a journey with a group of brothers that will give you dreams for days . . .

LOVERS AT HEART, REIMAGINED (Book #1) Treat and Max are getting to know more about each other after the disastrous first encounter. We see more of them both and what keeps them going and gets them down.

DESTINED FOR LOVE (Book #2) Rex and Jade set the ranch ablaze with the chemistry and tension between the two of them.

FRIENDSHIP ON FIRE (Book #3) Josh and Riley test their friendship far away from home, family and friends. Josh had intrigued me from the first time I meet him. Now, its his turn to smoke up the pages.

Sneak Peek: SEA OF LOVE (Book #4) just enough to get you wanting more of Dane Braden and Lacy Snow. These two felt the magic back in Snow Sisters in White.

What can I say? Over-the-top, cheesy story where incredibly handsome boy falls for somewhat insecure, but incredibly sexy girl after only "one night" together and have crazy, wild sex all the time? Multiply that by three and you get these series.
Every book is more improbable than the next and the same formula is applied to each book, only with "different" characters.
The last book, with Riley and Josh, was the most disappointing of the three. Riley seems like such a fun and secure woman in book two, but during the last book is shown as a major insecure, ridiculous female lead. The need to constantly apologize for everything makes her even more annoying, and the fact that at the end she apologizes to everyone, even to a *witch* who mistreats her when she doesn't even have the right to, shows how weak of a character Riley is.
Overall, not even all those steamy scenes make up for the exaggerating, fast paced -unbelievable- romances that "build" between main characters. It's like because they've known each other for years (except Max and Treat) that they've loved each other in secret for ages and that's why we have boom, all these I love you's and I wanna spend my life with you forever's that are borderline ridiculous.
I wanted to finish these series so I wouldn't leave books unfinished, but I definitely don't recommend them to anyone unless you want to read unbelievable relationships between unbelievable characters.

This review is for: Lovers at Heart, Reimagined by Melissa Foster

Four years ago I read the original Lovers at Heart by Melissa Foster and loved it, honestly at that time I didn't think the story needed improvement at all, I was a new fan of Melissa's and I was loving everything she was writing. So when I heard that she was rewriting Lovers at Heart I was both confused and intrigued, wondering what she was going to change and what would remain the same. Now, remember I read this book four years ago and I have read close to a thousand books in between, so I was also curious as to how much I would remember and if I would notice what was different.

I must admit there were a few times I questioned myself as to if this was in the first book and I just didn't remember but I did remember a lot of key parts and to me that is the making of a great book. If I can point out parts and say "hey I remember that" and "oh, wait a second she changed this a bit" about it after so many years you know the book has not only a great story but great characters that resonate with you and stay with you long after the book is over.

I really enjoyed this Reimagined look back at Treat and Max's story and quite honestly I would love if she did this with a few more of her books.

Lovers at Heart, Reimagined was a special treat for fans of the series because we get to revisit one of our all time favorite couples and I can guarantee if you read this book that Max and Treat will become a favorite of yours as well. Each of the books in the Love in Bloom series, which is the main series in which all of Melissa's books sprout from, can be read as a standalone so why not dive right in and see what you have been missing...you wont be sorry, well maybe that it took you so long to find Melissa's books but honestly that would be the only reason. Happy Reading!!!

Sometimes your soul needs some good ol' small town American romance. And this delivered in spades. A bit ridiculous, a bit soupy but wonderful to get me out of my reading rut after attempting the Laini Taylor trilogy.

The Bradens at Weston (Books 1-3 Boxed Set): Love in Bloom: The Bradens.

If you are a fan of contemporary romance then this box set is a great way to start your introduction to The Bradens. If you are already a fan of Melissa’s ‘writing family’, then you are likely to be familiar with some of these characters.

I have previously read two of the books in this set, but the first one is a re-imagined version, so it wasn’t a hardship to re-read, not that I find any of these stories hard to re-read. They suit by need for up-lifting and inspiring romance.

Story one is about Treat and Max. Treat is the eldest son of Hal Braden, he helped raise his younger siblings after their mother died. He’s now a top businessman, but he has guilty feelings about leaving his family behind and focussing on making his own life a success. Max has trust issues after an old boyfriend betrayed her, but Treat offers her the love and commitment that she has always wanted. Can they both let go of their past to make a future together?

The second story is about Rex and Jade. Rex stayed to run the family ranch with his father while his siblings all left home. Jade Johnson is now a vet; she has returned to Weston but coming home has its own problems. An old family feud between the Bradens and the Johnsons means that any romance between herself and Rex is forbidden, but it is hard to stay apart and they feel resentful about the feud. Can they find a happy solution?

The third story is mainly set in New York and is about Josh Braden and Riley Banks. Josh is a top fashion designer who gives Riley a job after seeing her portfolio. He whisks her away from Weston to New York where industry competition is high and Riley makes an enemy of one of Josh’s key team. While the friendship between Josh and Riley blossoms someone is working to undermine Riley in the worst possible way. Will she be able to remain working for Josh without people saying that she slept her way to the top?

These books are filled with passionate characters and believable stories. They are always my go to place when I need some comfort and warm cosy reading. I delight in recommending them to friends.

Review for Lovers at Heart, Reimagined (Love in Bloom: The Bradens #1):

I haven't read the original Lovers at Heart so I honestly cannot tell you how or what is different in this edition. I know the author explains her reimagined theme to be a more mature spin of the original. Without reading the original, I couldn't tell you what that means but I can tell you I enjoyed reading Trent and Max's journey a lot. It was easy to read and it made me feel good.

Max and Trent both have their own personal demons that they need to slay (for lack of a better term) in order for them to actually work out. It happens in the story and they do it together. THAT'S what I loved the most. I was reading adulting done well LOL I don't know any other way of putting it. It didn't feel fictional to me, it felt real. Their journey was both sexy and sweet and maybe sometimes a little frustrating, but they communicated like champs. You don't see that a lot in fiction. Lack of communication is a preferred conflict in romacelandia. I enjoyed that wasn't the major case in this story. Yes, it happened, but it wasn't the main focus. I could go on but .... Just read the book. I promise you will enjoy it. You'll actually enjoy any Melissa Foster book out there. I know I have. Yes, on different levels, but enjoyed just the same.

I really like collections/boxed sets from authors and this is a great set of the first three books from Melissa Foster, The Bradens at Weston. Each of these books is great on their own but I like where you can easily read from one book onto the next. These are three of my favorites.

Lovers at Heart Reimagined - I fell in love with the original ‘Lovers at Heart’ where we met the ever so charming, good looking and debonair, Treat Braden and fell in love with both he and Max Armstrong. I really enjoyed reading this updated and reimagined version by Melissa Foster. I enjoyed the backstory on their time in Nassau and I really liked how they talked about their problems and what was going on and worked through everything. I also liked meeting some new friends along the way and we also heard from some of our friends from other books. I especially loved the line “I know all those things you said about Treat. This is what I call Treat’s Justin-by-the-elevator moment.”

Destined for Love - Jade Johnson and Rex Braden have liked each other but they couldn’t do anything much less talk to each other because of a 40 year old family feud. I really felt for both Jade and Rex, they really wanted to be together but couldn’t be seen in public where they lived for fear of the news getting back to their families, especially their fathers. It was interesting to watch these two decide to take a chance to be together, even though it had to be in another town and then when they ran across The Dance of Two Lovers necklace that had belonged to Rex’s deceased mother, Adriana. . . fate? The Dance of Two Lovers necklace, “everything in their lives was meant to keep them apart, and against all odds, they found their way to each other.” I’m glad Rex and Jade took the chance to finally be together and with the help of Rex’s siblings, were able to finally put the 40 year old family feud to rest. I thought the way Rex and Treat handled the land at the end with Jade’s father was exactly as it should have been.

Friendship on Fire - I really enjoyed this story and having New York City as the back drop, even better. Watching Josh and Riley realize their true feelings toward each other but having to walk that fine line of going public or keeping their relationship private, was very interesting. I loved meeting Mia and all the other personalities at JBD and yes I’m glad that Claudia finally got what she deserved. As always, I loved the Braden family being there for each other and the ending was perfect for these two fashion designers.

There’s 3 books in this box set….

Lovers at Heart, Reimagined The Bradens, Book One ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a really sweet story. Trent fell hard and fast for Max and wasn’t shy about it. He’s very seeet. They both have issues to over come, Max more Trent as she needs to learn to trust him.

Lots of tears when he remembers his mum and the love she had for him and his siblings. Trent has a great relationship with his siblings and we get to meet them in this book.

Destined for Love, The Bradens,
Book Two ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is full of feels, the chemistry between Rex and Jade flies off the pages, so many goosebumps.

This is a Romeo and Juliet type book, their fathers have been fighting for years and in turn their families have kept away from each other. But destiny has other plans for them as Rex and Jade are meant for each other and even his dead mother is sending them messages. This is a really lovely story.

Friendship on Fire The Bradens,
Book Three ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is Josh and Riley’s story. Josh is a famous fashion designer and has recently hired Riley after he saw her portfolio when he was back home visiting his family. They’ve known each other for years and have crushed on each other from afar. Now that Josh is spending more time with Riley it’s awoken his old feelings for her and he can’t help but make them known. The men in this family definitely fall fast and hard and when they do there’s no holding back!

This was a great story, loved the interaction between the other characters in the fashion industry and the rivalry that sparks within it.

Here again, another Melissa Foster book series that doesn't disappoint her readers.

Treat Braden and Max Armstrong...full of trepidation and fear....love and trust!

"Real is better than easy." pg 78

"Lost in a world of pleasure." pg 87

Gorgeous men, each one more striking than the next. Beautiful men who looks like they just walked out of a modeling agency or a GQ headquarters.

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing and Max has this fear, an inability to trust her own instincts and she knows it comes from her past. Max wants to know how those ghosts stay on her path and will they continue to follow her? Treat tells her they will figure it out together, but do they find a way to do just that?

Nothing in Treat's life had ever given him the ceaseless feeling of happiness. He had to help Max through her fears one way or another. She had to trust her own instincts. It turns out to be one insational night after night...love and lust collide. Treat struggles against his own urges. Treat knows real men don't dominate. They charish, they love, they pleasure...but its mutual in a relationship, not an ego trip.

"Love is beautiful and it should be praised, not picked apart. It's about intimacy!"

The first three stories about the Braden family in one, covering brothers Treat, Rex, and Josh.
On the whole, the stories are not bad at all, and I enjoyed reading them for the most part. For my taste, however - and I know this is a very personal opinion - they were a bit too unrealistic: All three brothers are sort of rich, at least not lacking in money, and very successful in their chosen professions, all are "swoon-worthy" (coughs), and so thoughtful, considerate and just basically true gentlemen and nice. Oh and they are not afraid to show their feelings. And sorry, but if one man is described as having his arms bowed at his side because of his muscles, then my first thought is "gorilla", and not good-looking. Too much testosterone for me, perhaps.
The stories were occasionally tooth-achingly sweet, although I did like the plots as such.
And the characters were all sweet as well, but quite likeable.
As I said before, all in all, I did enjoy reading them, and I specifically liked that the female protagonists did not have to be model-like in their appearance. But equal rights for all?
But yes, I will quite happily try and get the next volumes in this series.

Three Great Stories

Three stories about the Braden siblings, three to go.
Lovers At Heart: Treat and Max are both successful in their chosen fields. An instant connection was fractured by emotions arising from past experiences. Reunited, each realises the depth of their feelings, but each needs resolve their past before they can make the leap. A fairly 'clean' romance, the two engaging characters.
Destined To Love: Like a more famous R and J, Rex and Jade have to deal with a family feud. It doesn't stop the mutual attraction which has been there since high school. Both are filled with loyalty and love, but this is what almost pulls them apart. Rex is amazing. Agonising and steamier than the first book.
Friendship On Fire: Like Jade and Rex, the attraction between Josh and Riley has been brewing for years. Home for a break, Josh views Riley's portfolio and invites her to join his company, but their burgeoning relationship threatens her chances at a career. Add in a villainous, ambitious and devious rival, and their relationship is shocked to the core. This is a hot and steamy, and exciting story which had me in tears. Excellent.

Lovers At Heart, Reimagined
OMG i have never been more excited over a book before.
i could not wait to see how Melissa would write this book. I was a huge fan of the original love story. However, I can't explain my joy reading Reimagined. I felt like a kid in Christmas morning. I didnt think Melissa could improve on Treat & Max. Well OMG was I ever wrong. What an incredible love story. Let's talk about swooning. When Treat asked Max to marry him. That was the most romantic proposal i have ever read.
Reimagined is s stands alone with a HEA. I highly recommend you read the original Lovers At Heart.

Destiny for Love
OMG Rex & Jade!!!!
Rex is a sexy as heck cowboy and Jade is a vet who returns to her small town. They are forbidden to be together due to their fathers feud that has gone on for many years. This is such an amazing story of love. you will not be disappointed.

This set kept me sleep deprived. No joke. I got this set from a Facebook post and at the time needed something to keep my streak of reading going. (When I read. I seem to be happier is what my teen girls say. Lol) I started this after I got my toddler down for bed and before I knew it I was done with book 1, it was 4am and I knew I needed to get soke sleep. By night 3 when I finished book 3, my heart broke cause I knew I had to wait for the next one.

The Braden family will make you wish you were part of it. The dad reminds me of my grandpa and oh how I miss that man. So being able to read a book and be reminded of him was perfect.

All 3 titles within this set are on the Braden siblings. Sprinkles of stories about their father and mother come and go, but good heart advice from dad always brought a smile to my face.
I love series where you get to meet each individual family member and learn their prospective of things going on. While I've never experienced love as fast tracked as the Bradens, the author made me feel like it was exactly that.

I love this series. The romance, the emotions, the braden brothers. They are strong, loyal, gentle & all so sexy. When they love they put everything they have into that love.
They are what I believe real men should be. I want one!!
The woman in their lives. Strong, determined, beautiful, talented & true fighters.
Will they win their men!!
Read the three couples & their stories. Pay attention to HOPE the beautiful spirited horse & see how she fits into Hal Braden's life decisions he has made for his children.
Oh lets not forget their are some hot, sexy romantic, spontaneous love scenes with each one of thiese couples.

Love all 3 books

I have been a fan of Melissa Foster's book for a while. Each of these three books are great on their own. The Braden boys are handsome, sexy and a force to be reckoned with. Growing up in a small town , where everyone knows everyone and what everyone is doing makes it hard to keep your private business off the gossip radar. Each of the Braden boys is different in their own way but all of them are family oriented, family comes first. I hope you enjoy this box set as much as I have.

Lovers at Heart Reimagined: This well-written story really caught and held my attention. Max and Treat have a chance encounter, which brings their past back to the present. They had an intense connection, but something had caused Max to turn away, leaving Treat unable to stop thinking about her. When they run into each other again they start to rebuild. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books by this author.

Great Start to a Series

This 3-book boxed set is the first 3 books in a 6-book series. You meet all the Braden’s of Weston in the first 3 books but each book is primarily about one of the siblings.

I’m really enjoying this series. Great couples with each story being unique. These books central theme is, “Family Knows No Boundaries”. This is a very close and loving family which is delightful to read about.

I look forward to reading the remaining book in the series.

Strong Men who aren't afraid to show love - winner!!

If you like strong men, who know what they want and aren't afraid of their feelings you will love the Bradens!!! All 3 stories were so well written and flowed seamlessly from one to the other. I loved them. I hate when a series doesn't keep the character like we going from one book to the next. This one does such a good job of keeping up with everyone. It was so good!!

Great series!

I read the first 3 books in the series and really enjoyed them. The heroines are smart and strong. The heroes smarten up and stand up to the task each has. The situations are interesting and believable. The sex is hot and frequent. I enjoyed having the whole family and town characters involved in all the books. I look forward to reading more in the series and other series by this author. Recommended

The Braden Brothers

OMGosh! Such deep thought out plots, twists& turns! Definitely a need to read. In life, you know “things” exist, but it goes unsaid. But here in these pages, those “things” get said without the embarrassment of sharing the “mushy stuff” with your true love, siblings and family. This is a must read!

Great

This review is for a three book set, so keep that in mind. Book one is a good story, but moves a little slow. About the time I was ready to give up the pacing picked up to a satisfying end. Books two and three are faster paced and even better than book one. Liked the characters and the settings. Well Done.

Brother's and love

Wow. Every one of the brother's has a solid foundation. There mother gave them everything she had. Yes she is still I. That ranch watching over them. Their father talks to her all the time. Until me can be beside her again. These are men worth the fight and worth waiting for. I can't wait to see what the other brothers are up to next. And who they fall for.

Prideful & dramatic

This is about a very prideful family and finding their one true love under very dramatic circumstances. The way they handle it is debatable but your guaranteed an HEA. The characters are all likeable and the situations in each book is different. Quick love and emotional awakening with honest conversations. Well worth reading.

Smaltzy, predictable, no pizzazz... DNF

It's a rarity for me to give up on a book, but after more than 50% into the first book and there still wasn't much a story or plot, I just felt it was a waste of my time. It was pretty smaltzy and predictable with no real depth or pizzazz. It was kind of boiler plate. Glad it was free. 😕

Destined For Love

Great follow up for Lovers at Heart reimagined. Jade and Rex seem to be fated to be together, but their families are feuding. It's remarkable how everything gets worked out, and not without a little difficulty. There's a hint of the mystical in this story, which is a bonus. Great HEA as well.

Boxed set, no cliffhangers

The books in this boxed set were well edited. I noticed one instance of a mis-gendered pronoun. I did find some of the adjectives strange, but that might just be me. Personally, I can do without vulgar language, but I guess it is a part of the "contemporary" genre to swear like teenagers.

Some much love

Those books were wonderful, I feel like mkst romances the couple are always fighting or getting into fights to finally admitting their love to each other and for the Braden love come so freely that it made me want to read the whole Love in Bloom series! Thank you those Melissa!
