If you like hard hitting private detectives with gritty stories then you should try the Wade Carver series by Dan Ames. I have read Crystal the fourth in this fast paced series. I have not yet tried everything by this author but i am getting close and so far all books has been great fun reading.

As always Dan Ames' novellas race along like the Derby winner on Gold Cup race day!
Wade Carver could be the long-lost brother of Jack Reacher - as can be seen by Ames's excellent Teacher tribute novels.
The action is full-on and non-stop, while MC Carver is a human, flawed and engaging hero for the modern age.

Dominique was an attorney, fear didn’t pay. if she could see those that kidnapped her, what they wanted from her, then she could negotiate.
She was able to send a brief message.’help me’ to Wade Carver.
Heroine has been brought up from Texas, called Lone Star Crystal.
A debt they wanted to collect on, follow Wade, as he gets the answers
and the people involved. Good flowing plot as though he is talking to you, with action to the end.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

A Wade Carver short story in which he finds one of his CIs killed and the CI's mother kidnapped. And Wade also gets to show his toughness when he deals with the guy who has taken the attorney Dominique Vacchi and his henchmen - that is if he can find her. Thing is, he doesn't have many clues to go on.

start at 1 and give yourself an hour to read all 4 Wade Carver books for an engaging frolic in the fields of violent fun.
Not literature per se but a rollicking good time kicking some ass that needed kicking. Some of the nuts needed killing or more than one ass-kicking and I enjoyed a vicarious reckoning.

Great quick read! Love a character that leaves you wondering which side of the law he is on while he is completing a heroic feat. Action is frequent and enjoyable to get through. Definitely a one session book to power through.

Just another day in Paradise for Wade Carver, P.I.
Help!!! Someone's kidnapped Hammerhead's sweet old mother, and Hammerhead, Wade Carver's sometimes snitch, is lying on a slab in the morgue. Carver must rescue two women kidnapped by drug dealer thugs. Fun read.

This is another by this author that grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go. It’s a very fast paced, action packed story that does not let you down. I enjoy these very hard edged characters.

Another great in the series of Wade. The book may be short but lots of action packed in. He’s on the hunt for a killer and a kidnapper Loved it.

Ok, this one ties it all in a neat package and the story is over. Love the way he writes and keeps it moving keeping my interest up. 5
