Will I Ever Be Enough?: The Golden Effect

Rate this book
Lawrence Gervais is on a quest to find a wife in order to take over his late fathers’ business. Not only is it a requirement, but he has six months to make it happen. The journey reveals things about himself that he never took the time to acknowledge. Ever the traveler, Lawrence hasn’t taken the time to make real connections with people until he enlists the help of Brielle Golden.

Brielle Golden is a matchmaking extraordinaire that struggles with her own love life. She has all the tools to assist those willing to pay to find something she wants more than anything but thinks she will never have. Love is dodging her, and she doesn’t understand why. In her eyes, she’s the perfect catch, however, the fear of rejection is a powerful emotion to tackle by yourself.

As the work begins to help Lawrence find a mate, souls collide, and things start to change within the mutual business partnership. In the midst of sorting feelings out, Brielle's smile changes and Lawrence's heart begins to beat again. But trouble arises forcing them to do something crazy to get them both out of the mess that his fathers’ wishes created.

Will Lawrence find a wife and make his father proud by succumbing to The Golden Effect, or will both he and Brielle find themselves surrounded by the darkness of life without love when their partnership comes to an end?

The editing!

The story was good but please respect your readers and the fact that they are paying their hard earned money regardless of the price. Most of the editing issues could have been resolved by you just simply rereading it yourself. We are definitely worth the time it would have taken.

This right here shows the importance of getting you together before you can become one with another person

I loved every part of this book. It was so.kuch for me emotionally that I had to step away from reading it. This brought a lot to perspective for me personally. Both Bree and Lawrence were broken inside in different ways. They had to come into their own individually with a little help from others in order to grow separately and together as one. I loved their vows to one another because it wasn't what you normally hear. It was straight from the heart and authentic. I also loved when they decide to be alone for months after getting married with no phones and no interference from loved ones to grow in their marriage and become even stronger as a unit!!

When I started reading I wondered how long it would take for them to realize that they were meant for each other. I love how it all played out. Wonderfully written love story!

A heartwarming love story!!!

I just could not get enough of reading Will I Ever Be Enough! Reading this book melted my heart. I couldn't stop reading it and I kept prolonging finishing it so it wouldn't end. I loved how down to earth Brie was but she had that sensitive side with a hint of hood, lol! Lawrence was such a dream and I'm glad he found his way. I was so happy they decided to take a chance and do something "crazy"! Omg, I loved Felicia.. she was the truth and reminds me of my mom! Chad was hilarious too. Heck, I loved everybody, except Harper lol. The Golden Effect shows you to always expect the unexpected when it comes to love! Awesome read C. Monet and I highly recommend it to all readers!!!

This was an amazing read. One thing that I love about C. Monet's books are that they are so relatable. The characters always seem so real (and are very well developed; I love how the back stories are always told on the characters) and their story transports you into the book. Brielle represents so many woman that have everything together in their professional world, but their personal world doesn't match. The confidence and the sureness that is displayed on the outside doesn't always match the inside. Brielle's character displayed something that so many real women display, the ability to help others but not applying the same for ourselves in our own lives. In that aspect I saw so much of myself in her.

I really liked the development of her story with Lawrence. It's a refreshing thing to see that the characters actually took their time to get to know one another. Their relationship began organically and I really enjoyed that part of the story. I also loved the mystery behind the storylines, particularly that damn Harper. He really was a character that will have you screaming at the kindle.

Overall this was another AWESOME read from C. Monet. Her stories are relatable and you can also learn a few life lessons from them, especially with the prayers and words of wisdom. I highly recommend this book and will continue to be a fan of her work. Great Job!

I loved Brie. She was so relatable. She was so me a few years ago. So many times, like her, I questioned my own worth. I believed it was my fault for the failed relationships and I wasn't good enough. So many times I chose the wrong men, for all the wrong reasons and Brie seemed to have had that issue as well. I am glad that she realized who she was and what she offered so she could allow Lawrence give her everything she deserved. Although what started out as a supposed arranged marriage by Lawrence's dad dying wishes, I am glad they turned out to be genuinely what the other needed. And I loved that his family, especially mom, welcomed Brie and gave her the family dynamic she yearned for and needed. I'm sure having his mom was healing for her. I love a good love story. We all need and deserve pure love and happiness. And for Lawrence, Brie was more than enough for him.

Loved it!

I loved the plot of this book. I loved that both Golden and Lawrence questioned their worthiness. They were able to build each other up. I do wish we were able to read a little bit more of their interactions with each other. There should have been just a bit more of the buildup for their love story. The relationships they both have and build with their other family members is endearing. Ooooooo, Powell. Lawrence should have gotten his chance to lay him out. Brie’s opportunity was not enough. Overall, great job!

Truly Golden

I can't remember if I read this book or not. If I did, I'm so glad I reread it. C. Monet, how are you doing today call me out like that. You just put all my business in the streets. When I tell you that I relate to Brie on so many levels, I do. This was an awesome, awesome read! This book was beautifully handcrafted and written. I loved Brie and Lawrence's relationship as much as I loved Felicia and Don's. There were so many lessons and a ton of great advice. Keep writing doll! Never lose your strive!

Worth it❤

I almost didn't finish this but because in the prologue I felt Lawrence's pain due to being in his shoes a couple of years ago. That shit felt so real. But I am glad that stuck it out and read on. I loved the progress Lawrence made by stepping up and doing what was right. I felt for Bri however I also loved her journey to self love. A wonderful read. Keep it up. Until next time.

Great Read

I love reading this author's books. The characters are so real, that you can feel their emotions in the storyline. I love how Brie and Lawrence finally overcame their issues in life and realize that they were made for each other. There is so much that can be learned in the storyline of getting to know yourself better, letting past hurts go and learning to love yourself first before you can love someone else.
I recommend this book to read.

BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY
Very well written love story. I really enjoyed reading about Brie and Lawrence. I love how C.Monet writes her storylines and the way she portrays the characters. Lawrence and Brie never took the time to experience love and relationships until one day they cross paths and we get to see their journey of connecting and accepting each other as the one that was meant to be. Great job. Always looking forward to reading your work.

Growth!!!

I liked how Lawrence’s father and mom gave him a different way to grow up. Sometimes the traditional way makes us grown kids rebel. He started to see things from a different perspective. Golden was a growth in process to hiding behind work. Besides the few grammatical errors, I liked it. This is my first time reading from this author. I would read her work again!!!

This warmed the heart because of Lawrence and Brie finding true love “accidentally” but there was also some parts that had me so tickled!! I love a story that makes you feel love and laughter all in one. I will definitely be checking out your other books.

When you find yourself

Sometimes in order to find our strengths, we must first encounter weakness. And sometimes in order to gain you have to lose first. This book showed how loss can be a catalyst for change and how our best laid plans are not the plans designed by the Divine for us. A great read.

Love at first sight!!

Will I Ever Be Enough is this first book I read by this author, this book touched me in many ways I can relate to what Brie was going through, I have faced some of those same issues until I met my own Lawrence. This was a great read and this will not be my last by this author.

I liked the story

The concept has been done many, many times but this one had a bit of a twist which was nice with Brie being a matchmaker. I didn’t like how everyone seemed to ramble a bit in their thoughts which I skimmed over for the most part. There was a bit of repetition in several passages which I could have done without.

Nice. But! 3.5 Stars

The story was nice. But.... There was a good bit of grammar issues that needed editing. The story about the relationship between Brie and Lawrence was well done. The connection was apparent. A good read even with editing needed in the story.
