My demon ex has me trapped in a devil’s bargain.

My mother is dying, and I need the help of my soulmates to save her: all four of my soulmates. That means I’ll have to rescue the half-witch, Hex Sorciere, from his evil coven before the clock runs out on Mom’s curse.

The only person who can help me do that is Monster, the demon prince whose skin is literally tattooed with an aphrodisiac that I can’t resist. Once upon a time, he pulled me into his arms and into darkness: I can’t let that happen again.

Crash Hex’s wedding to a demon mafia princess, stop the curse rotting my mother’s body, and visit the families of my vampire, werewolf, and fae husbands to stop a demon-witch war. What the hex is a busy mom, business owner, and wife of three gorgeous men supposed to do? Take her cursed pistols, her broom, and her best heels, and kick some serious a**, that’s what.

WHAT THE HEX? (THE FAMILY SPELLS #2) - this is a full-length, reverse harem, paranormal romance novel with a 'why choose' ending, meaning the main character gets a happily ever after with more than one man. It contains naughty scenes, magic, witches, demons, vampires, faeries, and werewolves as well as four unruly kids, spells for just about everything, and plenty of cursing.

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

I was so happy to see this book released. I was a huge fan of Book 1 and was sad the series wasn’t continued right away.

Book 2 takes off right where Book 1 left off. Graceley is stuck in Hael with her ex, Monster. (Friend or foe? We are really unsure) Her guys, Argent, Caine and Spectre were banished away from her and Hex was summoned somewhere unable to complete his end of the deal.

Right off the bat, we are entered into this rollercoaster of a ride. We see their is a long and complicated history with Monster that we get bits and pieces to throughout the entire book, but really no real answers.

The bomb 💣 that is dropped when they are finally all back together is crazy! When Hex finds out, he steps up but we aren’t sure weather he’s 100% on board with the Spell Family yet.
Graceley ends up at war with herself. Wanting to be a great mother and wife and store owner but also wanting to end this war and complete her soul bond connection. With Monster still around, tension is high and the guys all sense something deeper than Grace can fully comprehend.

I want Monster so bad to become a man onboard this train of Spell family but we definitely need to hear the entire story of what’s happening. The end when Grace went into full mama-bear mode was epic! I cannot wait to see how this all plans out in Fae.

This book was full of twists and turns and steamy goodness. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 4/5

Fantastic!!! 💋🎃😈🎃💋 Second book just as awesome as the first! “First Wife” bit is funny in regards to husband authority level...lol. Witches, Vampires, Werewolves, Fae/Faeries, & Demons with kids 😉 Monster & the Boogeyman are great additions to the book!

I’ve been waiting for this second book and let’s just saying I wasn’t disappointed at all. Grace, Argent, Caine, Spectre and Hex ( yep Hex) must doing anything too save Grace’s mom. When new problems arise, Grace gets help from someone unexpected. With twists and turns I’m completely enchanted. This book was worth the wait. This book and characters have me completely hooked again. I liked how we see how Argent & Caine meet Grace. I’m so hoping the next book comes out soon especially how this book ended. Another phenomenal read.

This is the book I’ve been waiting for!!

Gah, when I tell you I’ve been waiting for this book for ages I mean it. I read Family Spells right after it came out and I was OBSESSED! Grace is one of my favorite characters ever. She’s badass and hilarious and I just love her. I was a little worried that the book wouldn’t keep the same energy as the first but it definitely did. It did feel like there was a TON of stuff happening all at once but it didn’t feel overdone. (If that makes any sense at all) I can’t wait for March to get here!!

Fantabulous

Brilliant book 2, loved every minute! Gracely is my favourite sort of FMC, fights through the crap of life in her own way, including modern motherhood and a slightly dysfunctional family. The guys are all individually interesting (and 🔥 of course!) and their dynamics are hilarious at times. The underlying plot is intriguing as well, and this was a satisfyingly long book. I'm excited to see where things are going in the next book.

Need info

What I really need to know is when if ever we're going to be able to find book #3 been waiting to read this series for a year as I was waiting for the third one to release and it kept getting pushed back. Till I could no longer wait any longer. Now I'm here and I like really, really need the next book cause this kind of ended with a slight cliffhanger here. So please C.M. Stunich. I desperately need to know the end

Hold on to your (holiday) hat, it's going to be a bumpy ride. 🎃 🎄
** Cliffhanger Warning! ** Oh my hats and cats! Just like the first book in the series, I thoroughly enjoyed this one, but the ending is killing me. I have been waiting for two years for this sequel, and it was worth the wait. This is a fantastically fun, action-packed, magical, steamy reverse harem romance. There is plenty of exciting and sexy action, just like in book 1, The Family Spells. I like how the story picks up right where Book 1 ended.

While no pesky exposition flash-backs appear at the beginning, there are some excellent flashbacks later in the story. I love how they show Grace and her guys meeting each other and/or helping each other. Book 1 had a few teases about the Family Spells' past, and Book 2 delves into that past. I'm also happy with how the world-building is worked into the plot(s). I liked going from one dimension/world to another, and having each world described rather than explained.

I also have to shout out to the character development. Hex is changing, while he matures/grows into his new roles. Grace is learning more about herself and her guys. Caine, Specter, and Argent seem to be processing the events fairly well, even though Monster is a wrench in the gears. I know the kids are all four and younger, but I'm curious to see if they will work their own magics.

Plot twists! I loved all of them. Just when I thought I knew where things were going, a twist would pop up and the story veered off to another direction.

DNF -quit at 67%
I don’t know what happened, but by 45%, I was struggling to keep reading. The first book held my attention enough that I didn’t consider quitting. The plot holes are big in this book. This just seemed to ramble along with no real direction but with a lot of time passing. We see there’s going to be a big war -of sorts, but it’s all put off for months it seems, just so the 5 of them can recoup, when in real life, that wouldn’t happen, in turn feeling like it’s not really going to happen. The emotional whiplash between Monster & Grace & the RH is all fine & dandy for book angst, but is being dragged out too much. He needs to confess to the RH at least what he feels for Grace & why he did whatever to her, to at least confirm yea or nay for readers but still keep Grace in the dark. My suspicion, he’s also her soulmate, & did whatever to save her, it may be confirmed later in this book, but I didn’t care to keep going. I also didn’t like the vibe in the RH, the guys separate were fine, but thrown together, felt too aggressive & too competitive to live like that day to day, I’d run screaming if I was Grace. I really didn’t get the vibe that it was a cohesive RH at all.

At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

It's a confusing story I would say, not much happened in this book, but it was entertaining.

I feel like Grace not knowing about what Monster is to her is just a weak plot point, because she feels towards him the same that she feels towards her husbands and she should had made the connection. When it was revealed the Oracle prophecy I realized that Monster was their soulmate. There was a lot of points in the story that showed that Monster was their soulmate.

I wanted to see more of the children and them acting like family, because this book is such diferent in this aspect, children never have space in RH, so it is definitely refreshing.

I just can't connect with the husbands for some reason, the one that I like the most is Hex and he's not even that interesting. I don't know how I feel with the whole already married Harem.

I really want to read the next book and can't wait to see what will happen.

This was too good to put down! It was even better than the first. Thing is....it makes you want to throw yourself head first past the cliffhanger.

A lot has happened since the Spells family getting trapped in Hael. So many truths and betrayals popping left and right. War like no other is on the horizon. And maybe, just maybe, there will be one less soulmate to make it out of this intact. A fabled prophecy might come to be...but which side will come out reigning?

The depth of these characters is astounding! And though I love them all, my favorite is the villain in the story....Monster. If I had to choose between them all, Monster would be my number one. He makes me crave the story 100 times more.

This is definitely a book you want to get your hands on! The wait for the next book might not be pretty, but this is so worth the read.

Another really fun, witty, fast paced, quick read. This one picked up a lot with the plot and I enjoyed this a lot more and got sucked into the story more with this one.

We got more, a lot more on the new guy who appeared at the end of book 1, Monster a full blooded demon prince. And oh boy he’s amazing, I absolutely love him.

Hex, the half demon witch is still my favourite out of all the husbands, closely followed by Spec the half vampire witch and of course Monster is up at number 2 along with Spec also.

I can’t wait to get to book 3 as this one also ended on a slight cliffhanger. Really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend.

Whoa....

Woe is me...WHY do I keep starting these books that are not yet a completed series?!
😈😈😈 Honestly, it's because I find CM's stories irresistible. They are wonderful and enrapturing. Then I realize it's been 3 years since the latest book was published and in all likelihood, I will not be getting an ending to this story. I mean, she went and wrote the first 2 books to ANOTHER witch series instead of finishing this one. This makes 3 separate book series written by CM that I am awaiting conclusions on. I just want to punch myself in the face for my lack of will when it comes to reading her books!

Such I good series. I loved it so much. Grace is amazing, her males are drool worthy and her kids are hilarious. I can’t wait for the third book!!! This is the first time I’ve read a series where the fmc already has found her harem and has kids. It’s kinda like reading a book after the happily ever after and I absolutely LOVED IT. Wish I could find more plots like this one, I love C.M Stunich storylines and her writing, she so talented. Definitely recommend this book for everyone who loved spicy, hilarious and fluffy reads.

Favorite Series from C.M. Stunich

I love all of her books but for some reason this one just is the most interesting to me. I think it’s so unique with the preestablished family dynamic, which sets it apart from other books in this genre. And it’s done so well where you would love hearing more about how she met her three established mates because they’re free characters but you don’t miss it or feel lost in the story. I’ve been waiting for the second one and was so excited when I saw it came out!

Noone messes with the Family Spells!

Graceley and her soulmates risk their lives time and time again in this fast paced story.
Monster 👹 stays with them, bringing extra protection, as their lives are endangered, as they defy covens to be together. Graceleys ex, Monster, protects them but has a secret!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this engaging entertaining and compelling story. Told from multiple POVs reveals intimately their thoughts feelings and emotions as they explore their relationships. The story ends in a cliffhanger!

I am IN LOVE with this story!

I could not wait to have this sequel, and it was everything I hoped it to be! Monster is my Spirit Animal, I both love him and want to fuck the shit out of that dark aphrodisiac skin. The worlds that you build C.M. are while Fictional, you make them so very real for each of us readers. That is why every book you write I read. It's Beautiful and I can't wait to finish and find out where we stand with The Family Spells at the end of this maddness. Thank you for your genius.

Lovely and Fun

Wow. For having only just heard of this series a couple of days ago, I am HOOKED.

I love the family aspect of this story and the different magic. I love the writing in this, too. C.M Stunich gives beautiful descriptions of everything without it being too wordy. Her dialogue is quick and the witchy swearing is funny without crossing into cheesy land.

I'm totally in love with Grace and her "wives". They're perfect. So happy to have discovered this. Amazon actually recommended something good this time around. And now I'll play the waiting game for book 3. Adored this. 💋💋💋

Woah!

I love all of the family spells, they are all freaking awesome characters and this storyline just gets better and more chaotic as it continues. I definitely cannot wait for the next one, those cliffhangers get me so amped! So much happened in this book that I can't even out into words how I'm feeling after just finishing this read. But I will tell you one thing, I absolutely recommend this series!

What the Hex?!?!?!🧙‍♀️🧹🍵

Heck yah! This book was excellent 👏 😂. The humor was on point. There was a series crossover, and I always love when that happens no matter how big or small the moment is. Gracely and the guys kept me amused for the most part. The soul mates thing is great. I can't wait to see the butt kicking that happens in the next book. I don't know how CM keeps knocking all the books out like it's nothing, but I'm so here for it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

After a long awaited arrival, the second book in the family spells series is here! Readers finally get the continuation of what happened in the first and is able to follow along the mischief and mayhem the Grace and her soulmates find themselves in! You will not believe what's to happen! Hopefully the next one will come sooner rather than later!

Plot Thickens!

This is the second book in the series and much longer than the first. It does end on a cliffhanger and I would say this one is more plot focused than spice focused. A lot happens while also at the same time a lot of waiting seems to happen. We do get more back story on how Grace met Caine and Argent, which I liked, since the first book starts with her already established relationship with 3 of her men.

Luv, luv, luv CM Stunich!!!

CM Stunich once again steals my free will! I can barely manage to put her books down! Book two of this series is no exception! The Family Spells' are fun, hilarious, sexy and badass! An evil coven & a cabal are trying to let demons out of the underworld. The Spells' are trying to stop them from doing that while managing a new soulmate, 4 kids and an unplanned pregnancy! I wish book 3 was already released!

Unexpected

This series is charming, witty, funny, loving, heartbreaking and so much more. The normal flows to this genre just doesn't apply here because it is simply unpredictable. Finally a strong female character is placed with equally strong males without sacrificing femininity. This series is refreshing and unexpected. Wish the author wasnt quite as slow with sequals.

Love, love, love this series!!

I'm partial to all C.M.Stunich work but this is a masterstroke . Love all the characters , dialogs and yhe plot. I really do hope that this will not end with this 3rd book and if it does then I hope their kids will get books as well so we don't have to part with the Spells family .

Absolutely LOVE this series. It was definitely worth the wait. It's nice to read a series that involves a family/kid lives. To say the dedication at the beginning being towards "moms" being appreciated is an understatement. C.M. Stunich delivered like she always does.

What a cliffhanger!

This book picks up right where the first leaves off and I am happy to say I enjoyed this one even more than the one before. There was never a dull moment. When I got to the end I was not ready. All I can say is I NEED the next one so I can see how this situation plays out!
