Coming For What's Mine pt 2: The Politician

The Conclusion of Book 1

I almost believed the look of pain that came across his face.
Almost!
My heart had turned to stone. At least that’s what I convinced myself. So, no matter what he said or what he did, I will not turn back.
“J please, ask me to do anything else. Anything. Just—” He paused for a moment, his eyes searching mine.
“Just don’t leave me…” His words made him very vulnerable. He was taking a risk even uttering them. Vulnerable like I was watching him walk into his party with another woman on his arm.
“Do you love me?” My voice was cold.
“More than anything in this world.”
Be strong, sista! He doesn’t mean it!
“Then let me go.”

Will Journey and Joseph's Love survive the betrayal?
Will all those that conspired against them get what they want, which is to see these two torn apart?
Can she ever find it in her heart to forgive him?

Find out in the conclusion of Coming For What's Mine...

Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I gave this book 5 stars because just like all of Edwina Fort’s books she brought that fire. I cannot wait to see how each of the stories becomes one. And...yes I have read each book thus far. The anticipation of how it is going to end have me waiting at the edge of me seat. Amazing job to this amazing author.

The conclusion of Joseph and Journey's story. What a ride this has been.

Joseph has been groomed from birth to one day become the President of the United States but he has always felt a call for adventure, to have boots to the ground, he was a soldier through and through. Meeting Journey and falling for her was never a part of his plan, he has had women galore it never mattered to him, but meeting her cracked through his solid wall and changed everything for him.

Journey was just trying to be the first in her family to graduate college, she was a fighter for climate change, to save the earth. Meeting Joseph wasn't a part of the plan, being totally consumed by an inferno such as himself was no match for a woman like her, who has only been around her family (consisting of her mom and two brothers). And yet when she ran from him after discovering she was pregnant could have never prepared her for the category 5 storm showing up on her mother's doorstep after over a year.

Joseph and Journey have much to overcome, they will soon discover that there is a murderous darkness inside of Joseph and not of his own making, it surfaces when he believes his woman and child are in danger, he is basically unstoppable but will it cause Journey to run from him again? And Joseph has a fiance? What is that about?!?!?

This story took a very interesting turn that I didn't see coming, it has piqued my interest even higher. So now a series is birth and we will get to go on this ride of discovering a family who has no idea that the other exists. Get ready for the explosion of the Law Boys Woot! Woot!

This is story I highly recommend and I know you will enjoy it. Author Edwina Fort has taken a different approach when it comes to her love scenes which I rather enjoyed, I know there are some readers who want graphics and I get that because I too love graphic sex scenes but they are way too often not written correctly which throws me completely off. But this author handled her scenes very well.

The story I am looking forward to reading next is Romeo's story (he is Journey's older brother) and I most confess he had me when he had the agent between his legs damn nearly squeezing the life out of him LOL!!

That's what I am talking about!

Now this is how you end a 2 part book series.
I have been reading MS. Fort for a little bit and I was surprised that she was actually writing a non paranormal story for once (book 1) where every thing and everyone was normal, but wouldn't you know it was just a new spice MS. Fort was trying because book 2 bought everything home, and it was awsome.
Journey and Jo were back but with Jo doing everything to get Journey back. In this one, Jo had a lot to learn and understand regarding himself and what "they" have done to him and he had Journey to center him.
Rome was by far the next best thing in this book and I can't wait to read his story with Nak. I hope you will also give a story for Rob and explain all of Jo's brothers and sister lives... But in all, no one could outdone Albert (that car scene, O.M.G🙌🙊♨️♨️) that's all I will say...
Good job once again, MS. Fort

Wow

This read like an action movie and had some of everything. It was an intriguing love story with politics, big corporation and military features built in. Normally not something I would go for but this was well done and fast paced so I couldn't help but to keep swiping.
I must say, though, that I didn't like that ending. I hope Journey gets to work on her dream and not just succumb all to the love of her life. I wanted to know what happened with those contracts and Abby Cat. Will definitely read more of this series.

Journey put up a good fight but in the end, she was no match for a man with a plan. A man that would stop at nothing to keep the woman he considers his.

Joseph/ The Politician 373493
🤔I wonder if the "Law Boys" are the result of the Lyon testing the military/ government did.
☺️ I am too excited to get to know the other siblings :
“Judah Law 373001
”The Bully 373492
"The Loner 373491.”
“Black Beauty 373901.

I am torn on which book to get into next: ”Falling for Rome" seems like the logic choice

However, "Redemption: Earth’s Cry" is listed next Chapter ... and the snippet is delicious!

Edwina is a magician!!!

The things Ms. Fort can do when her words hit paper is simply magical. From insecurity, manipulation and duplicity... the path Journey and Jo follow is met with a multitude of roadblocks; but the love those two have for each other is immeasurable. I love this book and her other works. I can't wait to get my hands on the other books previewed at the end,

These Law boys are something else. It does make me question, could the government really do something like this. Goes to show you how great a storyteller Edwina is when you think about can this happen for real

Ancient of Days!

I am so hooked on these books. Love they way bible scripture is in the forefront, but not so in your face you don't want to read it. Jo and Journey have the hottest chemistry! Even with the age difference, its still hot. On to Romeo... Can't wait!

Love concurs all

I was somewhat giving the side eye to the age difference of Joseph and Journey simply because she was 19 to his 32. He won me over by not be a prev. I'm happy he was able to find some of his family and now start to build.

Oookay..👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This book appeared to be too familiar with a previous book written by this author. While being an entertaining tale, the similarities became too many to ignore. Still worth a read though.

Buy it, read it and enjoy.👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

Good Good Stuff!

Wow what a way to come back, this was just a number one storytelling ! You are dropped right into the action right where the first leaves off.I love the chemistry of this story not only between the two main characters, but from the supporting cast. The story just flows with ease you are pulled in and before you know it you are hooked. The action is just off the chain like a mix of (Jason Borune and Mission Impossible). The writer weaves a very sophisticated story ,the really good thing is that you are able to follow and you are going to love all of it.This is shaping up to be a terrific series and am looking forward to the next installment.

*****Spoilers*****

This one has unexpected supernatural elements that weren't available in the first book. That's pretty much the book in addition to Joseph and Journey reclaiming their relationship. I didn't think Journey had reasonable reactions and Joseph having some mental triggers into an alternate personality when his loved ones are threatened gets a bit deeper here. This book also hints toward other love stories to come.

The best thing about this book I thought was the reference to Joseph, his other siblings that he finds out about, and the Preacher. Something bigger than the primary characters in this book is coming which seems will require Joseph and more to handle . All in all, I was more interested in reading about Judah than finishing up with Joseph and Journey. Rome was also very interesting, we got to see some of what he could do with computers.

Spelling errors and incorrect word usage were issues in the book.

This series was interesting. A shy bohemian girl falls for a "politician". Here's what I liked. The male protagonist and the brother of the female protagonist. They had great chemistry. I liked Albert. He was an interesting character. They were well written. Their scenes together were intense, funny, action-filled, and flowed naturally. I loved the plot. A race of superhuman beings "raised" by the government and as their past is revealed the action ensues. Romeo was also an amazing character. I loved him as well. This story was true to its genre. However, I struggled with book 1, but found pleasure in book 2. What didn't work was the female protagonist as she was written. She was uninteresting. There was no romantic chemistry where she was involved, unfortunately. Parts of the story came across as a bit confusing.

Need my books asap

This book was everything. And the books to follow. I'm excited about them all. I really can't wait. Rome is amazing. I want to see who Robert ends up with. I mean this is a different type of paranormal. It's believable. But seriously I need a Rome in my life. This book had a action. I felt like I was there every time the Politician was fighting. Albert is a beast. I loved the details and the humor. Him and the cast. Lol. I can't wait for the upcoming books and how it all goes in. What's the preachers background. Come on Edwina. You definitely in top three of my favorite authors.

Idk

I don’t know how to feel. I wasn’t expecting it to take a paranormal turn, so I was surprised, but..... it kind of feel flat for me. It felt forced into the story. I think if it had been better set up from the beginning, I would really get into it, but shoving it into the plot line a couple chapters from the end.... it was unsatisfactory. I liked all of the characters, but I can’t finish the series now because I feel like it’s going to be sloppily put together. I wish it was different. If you read the book as a normal book with snooty a hole parents and a funny, yet misunderstood alpha male, 5 stars.
