Horsing Around: 52 Spurgeon Stories for Children

Rate this book
This is the last in a series of five books based on Spurgeon s life. Some stories are sad and some are funny, but each one teaches a particular truth from the Bible. Spurgeon himself had a great love for children, and his desire for them was that they should come to trust, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ in their young years. My hope and prayer is that children may be led to find salvation in Christ, and learn truths from the Bible that will help them to live for His glory.

Wonderful short story/devotions that use Charles Spurgeon's life as a catapult for teaching the truths of Gods Word. The story lengths were perfect for reading 1 or 2 stories to my daughter before bed. Each story has a title and begins with a scripture that is the focus point/lesson of the story. Not only are we learning truths of the Word but also of Spurgeon's life. This is the 5th book of a 5 book series. I'm definitely going to purchase the other first 4 so we can read them all.
