Aliens, megalomaniacs, and power-mad mages, Amelia should be so lucky. Luke is gone, stolen by the mysterious red gem. With no way to track him, she must stand up to the other threats she faces. Someone out there has her tech, and they used it to outfit a group of cold-blooded mercs that tried to kill her. Then there's Tempus. A new threat which appears to be able to travel through time. Amelia won't go down easy, however. The Full Metal Superhero always has a trick up her sleeve. Is this one threat too many for our armored heroine?
Explosive Arsenal is approximately 60,000 words of awesome in the ONGOING best selling superhero series, the Full Metal Superhero!
Award-winning Journalist and USA Today bestselling author Jeffery H. Haskell thinks he should always be himself… unless he can be Spider-Man. Then, he should be Spidey. He’s a lifelong lover of comic books and science fiction, and he owns his geek status by quoting Aliens and Star Trek at every given opportunity. When he realized he could make a living writing about his obsessions, he jumped at the chance. With the incredible support of his amazing wife and spectacular children, Jeffery lives the dream of bringing his imagination to the page and on occasion, he writes about love and marriage.
As usual it's a win for the author! In this book the world suddenly doesn't like Amelia. Politicians want a piece of her. Emotionally she is a wreck but it doesn't stop her from fighting the good fight! Luke is possessed, the government after her, other superhero teams hate her because of the media storms.
Will anything go right? You just have to buy this book and discover how it all get resolved!
The next installment in the Arsenal series deals with the fallout of Amelia blowing up a planet. However any critics of her blowing up a planet get treated as unreasonable idiots and I feel like the author missed a good chance for introspection.
It's unfortunate. Early on I really liked this series. But as I got to know the MCs personality more and more I just couldn't stand her. She is just selfish. Sure things turn out generally well and everyone who isn't an asshat in the setting loves her but its written that way and really if you pay attention the writer makes it very clear that every thing she does has a selfish reason behind it. Some folks may feel like that makes her easy to relate to but for me... I like certain types of archetypes. The truly and deeply tormented who are struggling to be better or those who are better and make a continue effort to remain that way. She is neither in my opinion..
Looking forward to the next book as Mr. Haskell is quite good at the cliffhanger endings. He’s got a few continuity issues (biggest is in the first few books, Kate’s teleportation didn’t bother people but now does) but for 6 books, he’s done well with it.
Kinda like a comic, he tends to add supers to solve problems but it’s a trope for a reason and keeps the MC from being super OP.
Editing still a mess, mostly on the punctuation but with a helping of to, two, and too errors among others. Most of it is pretty easily parsed, but there are a few sentences I had to read a few times to makes sense of.
This is book 6 of 9. It continues to entertain without getting stale. Amelia sees new villains and old ones. Time travel is involved and handled VERY well. It’s fun all around. She flies through space. She makes new suits for practical reasons. I really like the way the author goes at this character and this world. There’s a huge diversity with the characters’ backgrounds, abilities, and ethnicities. Through that, you see that people are just people, superpowers or not, and no one is perfect. And that actions have repercussions. If you’re an Iron Man fan, this is your new favorite storyline. Enjoy and you’re welcome. I highly recommend this series. I listened with whisper-sync through Kindle and the narration is really terrific. She reads this like it’s her own story. I’ve listened to them all and this is her best job yet.
It seems no matter what we just can't get a break as events unfold where even the country Arsenal protects may no longer believe she is saving people. With everything thats happening only the Protectors will carry on. Great series of twists on this one and wonderful how it all ties in as well as i was kept glued to each page.
Most of the show series I've read all have something in common. Test this series is similar in the sense that its in a world of heros, but its different in where the MC doesn't have powers or isn't related to the big named hero its world. Which is good imo
This series is good to read. Great characters and a nice weaving of storylines. Can just see how she has made a mess for herself into the next book. Can not wait. Seriously when’s the next one coming out.
I started off loving this series but with each new novel it sort of diminished. Nothing big or obvious just some small issues that personally I don't like. Feels too muddled in a way. I'll probably check the next one as I'm too invested now to not want to satisfy my curiosity.

Very action filled part of the series! You always have to love time travel in SciFi books. I am loving the suit upgrades and the plans for the future. Now excuse me while I read the next book in the series.
Four stars because of the grammar mistakes and misspellings. Also , cliff hanger endings are getting old. Good basic story with a few twists. Reading book 7 next , then deciding whether or not to continue .
Another great adventure story, with a fun new challenge (that I can't say without giving a spoiler). And the ending of this was NOT what I expected. He keeps growing the characters and the story. Definitely not "just another adventure" for the same characters.
Excellent book. I love how we go from one awesome adventure to the next and the character development is always superb. I am excited for the next book.
I found I had to force myself to keep reading. There seemed to be no major story arc. Rather than working toward something, we get to see Amelia jumping in every direction, reacting to the big bad... about whom we know nothing. The pay-off may justify the wait, but I ran out of patience.
