This gets strange, but in a good way. This manga has so much potential; the pacing is quick, and the artwork is excellent. I'm amazed by the information it provides and how seamlessly it fits into the narrative.

Haven't read the original novel, I've been wondering when is Kyougokudou going to actually start investigating the case of the missing doctor since he is the main character even tho we're not following his POV. Now, desperation plea from Sekiguchi made him move and do his thing. I'm pretty much impressed how the author touches the different believes from different religions without bias and deliver it through one of the character, who is also a non-believer.

This is the third volume of the manga adaptation of Natsuhiko Kyogoku’s novel, “Ubume no Natsu”, or “The Summer of the Ubume”, the first entry in the author’s “Hyakki Yakou” series.

The juxtaposition of an exorcist performing their craft based on logic, facts, and reasoning really stands out. Chuuzenji is adamant that there are no mysteries, and everything can be explained rationally. There is almost no supernatural element. Except for one, the preternatural ability of Enokizu, Chuuzenji’s friend and a private investigator, to see memories of people. That ability lets this story keep a foot inside the supernatural.

This manga adaptation of Summer Of the Ubume continues to be awesome, the pacing is fast and steady, the artwork is as awesome as before, the author captures the spirit and dark madding aura of the original novel perfectly. I can't wait for the fourth and final volume!
