Who has time for relationships? As a rising architect, Katie has spent her life working up the corporate ladder, focused on her career. But, what happens when yesterday’s one night stand becomes today’s board meeting? Is it possible to separate the personal from the professional? Especially when four sexy men are intent upon blurring the lines.
A chance encounter, a one night stand, and a business meeting that becomes more than just a pitch... it’s up to Katie to draw the lines and create a blueprint for her future happiness without sending everything she’s worked for off the rails.
DNF @13% p25/174 Chapter 4 This writing was just so hard to feel any kind of connection to. It felt like I was trying to connect to the characters through a foggy screen. Plus the plot was really struggling to make much sense. So there just wasn’t anything there to make me want to keep reading. I started skimming from the first page and didn’t stop until I closed the book, and that’s the ultimate sign that a book is just not gonna work for me.
Interesting story. Loved her take this job and shove it scene. Hard to tell all the guys apart but there were four of them. It seemed early on that they were just looking for a woman to fit the need for a puzzle piece. Kind of instalove after a week but then she does jump into bed with two guys after meeting them that evening. And there was the gratuitous dom tossed in. Weird that a guy would say “give you a fright” - I’ve never heard an American say that phrase lol. She calls the lawyer “your honor” but he should be addressed as “counselor.” Loved the kinky joke.

This was my first book from either author and I am officially a super fan. Being a huge RH fanatic, I have read tons of RH books. I almost can't bring myself to read anything with less that 2 romantic interests for the FMC. Let me tell you that Katie and The Crew are in my top five for the month, possibly the year. There is no cliffhanger and it's most definitely an HEA, but be sure and grab some tissues because there are a few bumps involved to get to it. Now I'm off to binge read anything from Chloe and Mercy!
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. First I love that Katie had a realistic reaction to being with four men. There is a lot to consider before jumping into that kind of relationship. That being said I don’t feel there was enough connection between them to fall so madly in love that quickly. I do believe in soulmates and love at first sight. However there was something lost in the connection between them. It’s like the only connection was sex and I guess I need a little more outside the bedroom to feel that much depth.
I really like this book. It's a contemporary, reverse harem (aka why choo-choose) romance with just a little drama. I'm not sure if this truly classifies as fast-burn, but the story does start off with a bang. There's a train car load of steamy goodness, some funny parts, and lots of train puns. I laughed a lot. Having said that, there are TYPOS GALORE. Sometimes it was so distracting that I lost my train of thought.
I thoroughly enjoyed how Katie met the guys: Grady, Rhett, Eric, and Declan. It's actually one of my favorite typos. Katie's "one nightstand" turns up at her business meeting. In some ways, this is a cautionary tale. I realized just how the sexual double standard would play into the plot of the book at that meeting. Katie is surrounded by misogynists, slimy men, and sexism in the workplace. So there is a dash of reality in the mix.
Besides the train wreck of typos, my biggest complaint is that title is a little misleading. That particular arrangement never happens. At least, I don't think it did, as some of the scenes were hard to picture.
Meet Katie. An overworked, under appreciated, motivated, strong, independent woman. Currently on a work trip. She happens to “fall” into meeting 4 guys while looking for a bar at her hotel she’s staying at. Things fast forward and she finds herself taking two of the guys back to her room for the night because it wasn’t like she was ever going to see them again, right?
Next day - feeling pretty great for her work meeting. She opens the door to the conference room only to find 4 very familiar faces staring right back at her. Uh oh…… 😉😉
This book was sexy. I LOVED how Katie was a “why not” girl and decided to be adventurous and see where things went.
Declan, Rhett, Grady and Eric are all what book BF are made of. They had it all. I really enjoyed this story. Katie obvisouly throughly enjoyed the guys, but was hesitant because how could anyone take her seriously or how would her future go with four boyfriends.
The guys all doted on her and treated her like a Queen. Really the only one holding things back, was Katie. I really enjoyed this entire storyline. I wish it continued on.
Really thought this was well written and engaging. Each guy was a different personality and all were so respectful. Gotta love that. I liked how strong and independent Katie was. I Initially thought her wishy washy thoughts about being with the guys was annoying, but then realized it is a big decision to ultimately make that decision; to uproot your entire life and leave your family. But she did make that decision and more power to her.
But I'm still wondering what's behind Declan's ( love that name, by the way) keypad locked door???😍😍
Highly recommend. First time reading these authors and won't be the last.
The way this story took place was magical. I remember being a part of the Facebook thread Heather posted and I was on my toes checking for updates. It's so nice to see it all come to fruition. The book was written well and the characterization was nice. The guys all had different personalities and they didn't blend together at all for me. I would have liked it to have slowed down a bit after the first encounter, just because with contemporary RH the discussion of the harem can be a bit trickier/not as believable for me. Overall it was a light and sexy read!
I loved this book so much! I remember when the original thread took place in the RHRA faceook group and I was constantly checking back on my phone for updates to see if Heather was successful in changing this woman's love life. I was so ecstatic when I learned that a couple of amazing ladies decided to take the idea and run with it and man, did they ever do such an amazing job. I was so happy to read this and the wait for the release was excruciating but it was sure worth it. RH is changing lives, one harem at a time!
FMC Katelyn struggles to stay within her self emposed boundries between personal and professional life. Slipping up could mean the end of her career as she knows it... would it be worth it? Working with her now ex-boyfriend and her bosses son was never easy but when he starts to play dirty all bets are off. What will Katelyn do? Four strong and sexy men fight for her attentions but can she offer them what they want and need? Fast burn, hot and steamy and worth the read!
Not my usual reading as in its contemporary and not Dark, Fantasy or Sci Fi which is what I normally lean towards. That being said, well written, very good storyline, lots of ‘exciting’ moments, kept my attention the whole way through. Highly recommend anyone into contemporary why choose, or challenge anyone like myself fixed in a ‘type’ to give it a go.
This book was so entertaining. The guys had me laughing and feeling so many different emotions. This was perfect for a quick read on a quiet Sunday. I enjoyed this because it shows the reservations that come with having this kind of relationship but they all end up working out on the end. I highly recommend it.
A wonderfully written insta-lust / insta-love reverse harem treat. The men were ridiculously swoon worthy and I loved how Katie realistically struggled with the reality of such a relationship, cause in real life that what we do as women 🥰. And don’t get me started on the smexy times. Bring a towel 😉, especially for after the shower!!
I’m sure it was a good enough book but when you start a book but can’t get small details right, it a turn off. How does someone go to college, have ten years of experience in her field after graduating and still be in your 20s? She’s not a genius so it’s not like she finished college when she was a teen.
This book was excellent. With a unique storyline and a relatable Mc the book keeps you turning its pages. Having 4 smexy guys to fantasize about helps too. Read this book! You won’t regret it!
Great book! Well written. I liked how realistic it was in addressing the concerns of living a poly lifestyle. Also, I enjoyed the fact that I know the thread that this book was based on, which made it even that much better,
Four amazing me..... Wow. How did she get so lucky. So diverse in everything from looks, jobs, sexual style to even how they pamper her. Wished the store would have gone on a lot longet.
This is the first book I've read by Chloe Gunter but it wont be the last. I truly loved all the main characters and the storyline. I do wish the epilogue was a little longer though lol
With a good mix of sexy times, character development, banter and a light sprinkle of tension this is a satisfying RH stand-alone novel. Drama free and without incessant inner monologues. Definitely recommend
This book is absolutely AMAZING!! Obviously, it’s super HOT, but the writing is so good! These characters are all people that you truly become invested in. These ladies made me laugh, cry, and want to reach out and slap some characters. Superbly done!
Railed is a reverse harem story where the woman is intelligent and savvy and the men are sexy and everything you would want to make the perfect man. The story was fun, loving, sexy and the chemistry rolled off the pages. I just wished the story didn't end.
It was a nice standalone, although as usual with contemporary reverse harem it was too glossed over. I would have preferred less sex and more actual relationship evolution. Still nice writing style, sexy men and unsure heroine equal a good story.
Loved it!!! This book has been on my TBR list for awhile and I am so glad I finally read it. Railed was such a good book. My first book by this author/s. Can’t wait to read more. Thanks for getting me out of my book slump!!
All I can say is WOW!!!! This book is amazing and definitely a must read. I wish I had every last one of those guys!! The love that they show for her is so warming.
Very enjoyable read about falling in love with who you want and not who you should. She took longer to come to this conclusion but all was well in the end.
