This reminded me Gabriel Garcia Markes with his “100 years”, but written about Jewish family. Sometimes author uses legends and analogies to better present some family facts. Book is about life of two brothers-twins: one managed to get everything he needs in his motherland (woman, work, kids), while the other had to escape from home to find better happier life miles away. Nevertheless the first one loses his kid, his wife, his calm life, founds the only joy in his small son, meanwhile the other brother built career, found calm and satisfactory space in his life. Somewhat philosophical with historical and biographical notes book
