A good set if short stories spanning different era of the Star Wars universe. This is a a spin off of the Pirates Price book. Is starts before and finishes just after that book. Bazine Netal is looking for the Falcon for her mysterious employer. Still no clue to who that is.

What she gets is a number of "almost got em" stories. From a young Han, to post the Last Jedi era. What is next for the Falcon who know?

The book contain 5 ok to good stories. Nothing ground breaking for me, it was essentially a way to highlight a number of side characters as well about how slippery the Falcon is. I think overall good but nothing great but enjoyable.

Flight of the Falcon closes out the story begun in Star Wars: Pirate's Price, providing backstory to Bazine's interest in the Millenium Falcon and giving Hondo a little adventure to boot. It also leads directly into the plot of the Millenium Falcon ride at Disney World, so that's...nice?

Despite being a money-grubbing tie-in to a theme park ride, Flight of the Falcon is a decent standalone adventure that offers several tertiary characters another brief moment in the spotlight. It's a quick, amusing read that neatly fits into the Star Wars Adventures mold while offering something slightly grander. I'm into it.

This is a Star Wars book that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. It is simply a victory lap for some favorite minor characters whose stories haven’t been finished yet. The frame story isn’t important, nor does it make sense. (In The Force Awakens, Bazine Netal is practically three feet away from the Falcon and can’t even bother to stand up. Why is she now running all over the galaxy trying to track it down? I have no idea.) The frame exists to give us fun glimpses of Agent Kallus, Lady Proxima, Lando and Nien Nunb, Han and Chewbacca at various ages, and Hondo. Michael Moreci is quite good at writing all of these characters, and especially good at Hondo. A quick read, and a bunch of fun.

2.5 stars. This was a bit all over the place, but still a decent Millennium Falcon story. Probably my least favorite of the Adventures series though.

"How is everyone so bad at capturing ONE ship?"

It's just expected that these comics are always gonna be a mixed bag.

Most of the time, they have a collection of unrelated SW stories. This one, as do a few others I believe, has a more overarching theme, following Bazine Netal on her hunt for the Millenium Falcon. The tales she hears from her sources are many and varied.

I liked the first one because it had Agent Kallus in it, one of my underrated faves. And IG-88! But the plot was just... look, like a couple of the other ones, this one directly acknowledged the Solo movie and, as cool as Enfys Nest is, that whole movie just messes up Han's entire character arc in ANH. Ugh. Anyway.

That was fun, though - this book had a lot of different references to a myriad of SW books, graphic novels, or TV shows. The second story in here, I'm fairly certain, was an extended reference to the Freemaker Adventures. And it's always fun to see Luke, Han and Leia interact in the period between ANH and ESB.

"I can fly. That's the only thing I've ever wanted."

There are two more stories in here directly linked to the Solo movie - one with Lando that was pretty good (that last line, my heart) and another with Lady Proxima that was, eh, nothing to write home about. The last one isn't too much either; it's about a new character who's just sort of there. But I did like how the stories show the Falcon over the years.

What annoyed me was that I thought this book would lead directly into TFA, but... nope, it led into the Star Wars: Lando's Luck series, which is one I haven't read yet. And I was just patting myself on the back for getting the indirect Jek reference.

The second half of this book is, I assume, all related to that series, following Hondo and a compatriot of his I've never seen before. The book ends on Batuu, which really makes it all feel like an extended Disney ad, but hey, I had fun on the journey. 3/5 stars.

It's understandable I am not the target audience for this material, but tons of other child-focused series are still entertaining for adults. This is not.
For a compilation about the Falcon - famously owned by two men - there is precious little of their involvement in the book, and even most of that is only cross-contamination from the recent toy commercials - er...'movies'. Combine that with a nonsensical framing device and what you have is just a bad read.

First Order bounty hunter Bazine Netal is on the hunt for the Millennium Falcon. Her search will take Star Wars fans on a roller coaster ride through decades of history set during, before and after the fall of the Empire! Flight of the Falcon was a fantastic read full of cameos of some of the greatest as well as some of the most obscure characters to ever grace the Star Wars universe. But due to spoilers, you'll have to read this collection for yourself to find out just who makes their appearances inside!

( I will give you one hint: fans finally will learn why Han and Chewie were looking for the Falcon in The Force Awakens!)

Disney made a smart decision outsourcing their all-ages Star Wars stuff to IDW. The editors and staff at IDW Publishing seem like big kids to me who want the fun they had with the properties and franchises of their childhood to be just as epic now as they were back then!

Hoax Hunters' Michael Moreci combs through 40 years of Star Wars to bring fans young and old an eclectic history of the Millennium Falcon and it's numerous owners. The art was perfectly done as an old school 80s cartoon by Arianna Florian (Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor). The art looks how I wish a Star Wars cartoon would have looked if ever that childhood wish of mine would've ever been granted.

Not everything about this book was perfect. A major flaw was somebody's decision to not finish Bazine Netal's story in the pages of Star Wars Adventures. To get that conclusion, you have to get another book: Star Wars: Pirate's Price. That book isn't even a comic book! It's a young adult prose novel by Disney Lucasfilm Press!

I can understand (but not forgive) having to read the conclusion in another comic book series. It's a pet peeve of mine. But such an action is a staple of the comic book industry that I don't see publishers ever changing their market plan. But to make kids have to go from the comic book store to the book store to get the conclusion to a story seems just plain rude.

I love to get kids reading. But to interrupt the flow of a story by requiring kids (and their parents) to go searching all over town for the conclusion... No wonder the comic book industry is in jeopardy!

I loved this book. I hated the bait-and-switch. The editor's do their 'best' to explain the storyline gap, but it's not the same. Want to keep young reader reading comic books. My advice IDW: don't try such a stunt again no matter what 'Emperor Mickey' decrees.

Having only just watched Star Wars Episodes IV, V, VI, and VIII this fall for the first time (I had seen Episode I when it came out, and Episode VII a couple years ago), this comic offered a nice diversion into some of the side stories going on in the Star Wars universe. It’s easy enough to pick up out of the blue, as the characters who don’t appear in the movies are given just enough characterization and motive to feel comfortable with them. Moreci’s writing is on-point for all and in-character for familiar faces such as Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2. Even for the porgs!
I read this as part of my local library’s “Cookies and Comics” book discussion group, and so it was a good choice for the wide age range present. It was geared towards and very accessible for the kids, but also had solid elements for us adults present with nods to the movies and characters. There’s story, and action, and new and familiar faces.
While I found it strange that the slim comic seemed to hold two stories in it, one being that of Bazine Netal’s search for the Millenium Falcon, and the other of the person who got a job on the Millenium Falcon as a kid before following a different path, and therefore had me feeling like it just sort of switched from telling one story to another, the feeling of “what happened to the first story?” came delayed about halfway through the second story. I also feel like it had some positive/inclusive representation going on, as Bazine keeps her head covered and wears a modest, long-sleeved dress outfit – her choice of clothing reminded me very much of some Muslim women’s clothing in its modesty and head-covering. Though I later learned in reading the character bios at the end that the reason for her choice of dress is related to burns she has, going into it without knowing her back story meant that I could just appreciate how readers, especially young Muslim girls, get the chance to see someone relatable in her, in her appearance, in addition to her strength of character and determination.

This was a cool way to have a story run through these comics and a few select books. I have now read all the comics and I have to complete the story with Star Wars: Pirate's Price and Star Wars: Lando's Luck. The comics did a great job of telling parts of the story in a fun way and I am sure the books will be a fun ride as well. This little story arc is great for younger Star Wars fans, but is fun for adults too.

This volume collects all of the comic book adventures that are part of the “Flight of the Falcon” series of books centered around the “fastest ship in the galaxy” we all know and love. I believe this book also ties in to the Galaxy’s Edge at Disney though without having read nor experienced the rest of this series, it does not entirely work as a stand alone adventure. Still, there’s some fun here with appearances by many rogues across the Star Wars universe and especially whenever Hondo Ohnaka is involved.

I gotta admit, for the only story spanning several issues in the series, this didn't really do it for me. I didn't really understand why she was after the Falcon, it didn't make sense that story that had happened several years prior (as a number of them did) would be helpful in the present in any way whatsoever, and then suddenly, the woman is gone and there's what feels like a whole separate story with Hondo. Truly disappointing.

Bazine Netal, a First Order spy, is searching for the Millennium Falcon. As she talks to several beings who’ve had encounters with the ship through the years both with Han Solo and/or Calrissian and gets their stories. A bounty hunter droid named IG-88, Two droids on a junkyard planet. Another bounty hunter named Embo. Lady Proxima on Corellia. A gunrunner named Ducain who actually stole the falcon. What she does when she finally finds it is a surprise. Hondo and Chewbacca.

A solid set of stories from the adventures line. I like the story they were building around the Millenium Falcon in this. It was cool to see the story of how "Ducain" stole the falcon, even if it was rather underwhelming. The adventures series really suffers from its anthology format, in my opinion. I understand the appeal to have an all-ages line, as well as stories that cover a wide range of iconic characters, but they stories never quite satisfy in my opinion.

Apparently, the writers didn't watch the movies or understand what happened when. Lando was introduced on Cloud City and when Han was about to be frozen and sent back to Jabba. They make it seem like Lando was around when the first Death Star was destroyed. And if they story was supposed to be after Retune of the Jedi then they have to make them look older, not super young. Just not very good.

This turned out to be a fun collection of stories. It's nice knowing that Embo, Lady Proxima, and IG-88 are still around after The Last Jedi. And with IG-88 being here, it makes sense that he wasn't used as a character in The Mandalorian.

Definitely the best Star Wars Adventures collection I’ve read. I don’t really dig these bite sized disconnected stories that most of this series is, but this volume jumps around to different characters and are connected by the Millennium Falcon. Great Porg content.

Flight of the Falcon is a group of comics from the Star Wars Adventures series that detail someone working for the New Order trying to locate the Millennium Falcon. I'm honestly not sure why aside from being instructed by a mysterious boss that they never revealed. It spans different eras of Star Wars and the different hands the Falcon has passed between. It was a neat read and offers insight on some of the crap the Falcon has been through. Star Wars Adventures is geared towards a younger audience but the artwork is usually pretty good and these entries were no exception.

A good collection of anecdotes about the Millenium Falcon and how hard it is to capture. The ship almost has a personality of its own.
