Title: Jasmine Author: CJ Jones Genre: Contemporary Romance **RECEIVED AN ARC FOR A HONEST REVIEW** **SPOILER AHEAD** This is book 2 in a series about a group of women who met in college and afterwards started a perfume business. Each woman having her own niche in the business. For Jazz she is VP with a business degree. Now as a few side notes: each book is written by a different author and believe it or not, they can be read as standalone books.
Ok! Now, this book is basically a wham bam kinda book. You know insta everything. Jazz and Derek were once engaged but they broke up. His father's company does her company's accounting. They meet again and basically that is all she wrote. Get the girl no matter what.
There was no meat to this story. It felt cold and clinical except for the steamy scenes. The dialogue was horrible. No emotion or depth. And every single time Derek spoke he had to say 'baby'. I pray book 3 is better than this one. I hope there is at least a story.

I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. There just wasn't any conflict.
Jasmine broke up with Derek in college because she thought she wasn't good enough for him. Derek is determined to get her back. It's been 7 years, but the sparks still fly...
This is the second book in a series. I love this one just as much as the first one. I love Jazz and Derek. What was Jazz thinking for leaving him? She finally comes to her senses. I love how these women have started their own business and become successful. I recommend everyone to read this book.
