Two orphaned sisters. A spirit without a grave. Can two orphans solve a murder before death claims another victim?
Ashley and Maya wish they could take back the hurtful things they told their parents before the deadly car crash. Two years later, the young orphans try to make the most of their new life with their lonely aunt. But the remote lake house in upstate New York doesn’t feel like home without their mother’s touch. When the girls discover a Ouija board in the dusty attic, they think they’ve finally found a way to tell their deceased mother how they really feel.
With help from a séance-savvy friend and a couple of neighborhood troublemakers, the girls summon the spirits… and an unsolved murder mystery. When a restless ghost terrorizes the household, the sisters know they’ll never be free of her menacing presence until they help her rest in peace. If the girls don’t find her body soon, the portal they opened will cast them all into the world of the dead.

Ed and Lorrraine Warren are known solely as the world's most respected paranormal investigators but have you ever wondered what case haunted them the most? The Warrens tend to say that their most terrifying encounter was based on the stories of the Conjuring. The conjuring is a movie based on paranormal experiences that Ed and Lorraine Warren claim to have encountered demons and the unbelievable. A little backstory- Lorraine is a gifted Clairvoyant who is someone who can see objects or spirits that are way beyond this world. On the other hand, Ed is an ex-marine who later joined the church to become a demonologist. Over their long lasting career, the Warrens had well over 10,000 cases. Lots of people tend to believe that Ed and Lorraine were this “perfect couple” but sadly, that is not 100% true. Ed had a monster in him too. Ed had a secret 15 year old mistress who he later impregnated and when Lorraine found out, she allowed the secret love and immediately made the girl get an abortion in fear that this incident would ruin the Warrens business. Lastly, after years of rumors, it has come to be that the Warrens fabricated more than half of their stories for fame and money. Enough backstory though, and let’s get into my opinion of the book/movie. The story is based in the 1970’s and the Perron family bought a farmhouse with a bunch of land to support the family of 7. Roger Perron was a truck driver and it took a lot to afford this farmhouse. The family expected to live the American dream but slowly started experiencing weird things in their home. This all started with the family dog (Sadie) not wanting to come inside the home…She began to bark continuously which the Perrons brushed off because they didn’t see it as a big deal. When the youngest child went to check on the dog the next morning, the dog was found dead. A witch from the 16th century named “Bathsheba” cursed anyone who would take her land which took the lives of many women and kids. This witch slowly began to possess Carolyn Perron by leaving bruises and later getting into her body to make her have the urge to kill her daughters. Ed and Lorraine Warren were later informed on this Incident and asked to investigate the incident. Lorraine noticed Carolyn was possessed because she was acting funny and she could see the entity that was with her. Lorraine raced up to the house and went to check on Carolyn but Carolyne brushed it off. A while later, Carolyne tried to attack her 2 daughters but failed because Lorraine stopped her in the act. Bathsheba, the witch that was with Lorraine, got mad because of Ed and Lorraine being Christian’s so she raised hell in the household. Ed later held an exorcism to get the demon out of Lorraine and faced many challenges because the witch wouldn’t let Lorraine leave the house or else she’d kill her so he had to immediately hold it in the Perron’s basement. He succeeded in this attempt and everything later went back to normal. Personally, I really enjoyed the book because it’s a true story and I love horror. Christine Perron still lives to this day to tell the horrifying story and has books about it. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who enjoys horror and true stories. Like I said, it’s definitely worth the read.
Just when you think you've finished the book, it gets better still.
A warm and loving story of the love between a grandmother and her granddaughter and a whole lot of paranormal thrown in just to make it fabulous. You can't help falling in love with the heroine of the story and her warm and strange grandmother, GM. As their relationship grows so does Keira's gifts and abilities so that she can not only see the dead she can help them and guide them to eternity. All told, a great book to snuggle by the fire drink a hot chocolate and drift into a story that will stay with you for days.

A Grave Conjuring is the second book in the Haunted Ones series. 4.8 stars
So much fun with the teenagers getting frightened by breaking the rules and using the Ouija board...house gets torn up and tons of ghostly visits. But actual happy ending when FBI Jake reappears in this story from the last one. Makes up with his ex-wife and they plan another wedding.
I loved that the book story seemed completely relatable and didn’t venture far for the realm of things that could actually happen. It was also very well written. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
This review is for the first two books in The Haunted Ones series. Well written and spooky, in a "get ya by the short curlies" kinda way. Strong characters who are believable. This is a binge reading series, and I can't wait for the next book!
Loved this story. This is book 2. Book 1 was great. Book 2 is also enjoyable. Starting Book 3 now. The stories are interesting and definitely a fast read. Can't wait to read all the others. I don't want to write about the story so that I don't spoil anything. Read the books.

You keep writing them and ill keep reading them sincerely Christine Dunne Harlingen texas thank you
I really enjoyed this book. In fact, it may be one I'll want to reread some day. Loved the characters and how fast the story went. I sure wouldn't touch one of those boards though.
I didn't know I was reading the second book in this series until I reached the end. I feel like you can read this series however you want. I have always been a fan of Ouija Boards my entire life and used to play with them when I was a kid. After reading this book, I will leave the boards to anyone else. The author does a very good job of pulling into the book and keeping you on edge through each chapter. Now I can wait to go back and read book one to see what happens if you are looking for a good scary book than look no further. This is a read you will enjoy.
We start off with a young family who have suffered tragedy moving into a house deep in the woods where the owner passed away, I thought this was going in the very predictable story of being haunted by the old owner but it surprised me!
Instead of being about the elderly owner it was about a murder of a young woman! Kinda cliche, kinda cheesy but a good second instalment and I found myself enjoying it more as I got further into the book 😄
It ended on a sweet note, a easy and enjoyable read.
