I very much enjoyed this book.
This isn’t quite a pirate story, but it’s still a swashbuckling read. Follow the true story of Lillie and her family as they take their hazardous journey to their new life in New Zealand, way back in 1882. It’s a tough trip that forces the sixteen-year-old to grow up quickly. Full of adventure, despair, joy, and family problems that seem scarily the same across the centuries. The interactive media is a great and, to me, unique idea, and one that I believe many readers will love. For those who prefer to read in silence, you can choose to use the option or not. A great trip away from my desk, my responsibilities, and my twenty-first-century outlook!
