I really liked the suspense plot and the writing, but I wasn't as convinced of this version of a second chance romance. I wouldn't have given this dude a second chance

We are in Bent, Wyoming again to hear the story of two very strong personalities that would of been the first of this generation of Carson & Delaneys that choose to defy their families war against the other. The found each other in high school, intrigued by the other, they spent time getting to know one another before things got serious. They dated in secret because of their families war with one another, which they later seem to discover that most their siblings had known there had been something there years ago and were just waiting for them to get back together with one another. Perhaps though it’s been the most recent pairing offs that has allowed both families sibling pair offs with the other family for them to figure out how much they already knew vs what they thought. It later helped them to know where to look for our latest yet oldest Carson & Delaney couple!

This was a neat book to read. There was a secret romance between waring factions as I call it. We have Jen Delaney and bad boy Tyler Carson who had a secret romance with each other. Hmm second chance sounds possible need to read to find out. I loved Jen she had a strength of character that she hid to please dad. I loved watching Jen's character grow. I also loved watching the clashes between the 2 of them. Its a well written book with a lot of intrigue and mystery. Its interesting as to why the bad guy goes after Tyler. Which is brought out in the end. Its worth a read for its well done.

The Carson’s and the Delaneys are at it again. This time Ty and Jen are trying to not be around each other after the way he left when he was younger. Along comes a predator who has something against Ty. In order to save each other before he takes them out, Ty and Jen have to face their past. Another great read in the Carsons & Delaneys: Battle Tested series. Plenty of suspense in this second chance story.

This is the first book by Nicole Helm that I remember reading, and I enjoyed it and thought it was well written. The Delaneys and the Carsons have feuded for ages, but Jen Delaney and Tyler Carson fell in love with each other. They thought they had kept their romance secret, but now someone is threatening Jen as a means of getting even with Tyler. There is a lot of suspense in this novel. I will look for more books by this author.
