I received this book as a gift and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I read.
This was a really interesting book; it is one of those books that you really didn’t like one of the main characters and wondered if he would ever change and act like a real human again. You know there are so many people out there that this guy Tristan was written after. As a matter of fact I can think of a lot of them off the top on my head. Reading this book even though it is a fiction romance it does give me the chance to hope that maybe just maybe some of those greedy, self absorbed people might be able to change or not. This book was very well written a when I started reading it I didn’t stop until I finished it.
Tristan Booker was now a billionaire that made his money by buying up small companies and then selling them at a higher price for what ever products they places like Amazon or Walmart could use of them. He was ruthless and did what ever it took to win over a person to buy their company. Now he was returning to his hometown of Chelsea, Michigan. He was headed there to buy up Van Doren company. It was one of the few compaies that cut and sewed all of the interior products for the Ford Camaro.
Faith had worked for Van Doren since she was out of High School, and at twenty she was made the COO of the company and shared her office with the owner and CEO Cubby. His real name is Corbet Breenen but no one had ever called him by his first name and been the owner long before Faith had been born. This was her life, and she loved her home and the people she worked with. Then Tristan showed up in all of his fancy stuck up glory.
Tristan and Faith were High School sweet hearts but he left Chelsea and never came back. He crushed her heart and her dreams of them together. He made her feel like she was unworthy of him. Faith was smart though and a lot smarter than Tristan had given her credit for he also under estimated her ability to read him which he found out about as he was working on his plan for his take over.
During their time together they both were starting to second guess themselves about each other especially Tristan. What is going to become of Van Doran Company, and Faith. More importantly is Tristan ever going to find out what is truly important in life or is he going to continue to chase his dream of greed. This is a must read story and one I know that everyone will enjoy.

This story had a twofold plot. Tristan and Faith were high school sweethearts. They were each other’s first love and first intimate experience. When Tristan turned eighteen, he turned his back on Faith, he turned his back on the town he grew up in, Chelsea, Michigan, and he turned into an opportunistic, greedy and manipulative businessman. He was so good at what he did, he became a billionaire. Faith never left Chelsea. She took some online accounting college courses and with her natural leadership skills, she worked her way up to COO of Van Doren Seating Company. She has been working there for the last ten years. Tristan had a score to settle and he was going after Van Doren. He went back to Chelsea to buy the company. Tristan was so full of himself and thought he was above everyone in Chelsea. He behaved proud, entitled and he did not hesitate to throw his money around. When Tristan went to the offices of Van Doren, he acted like he did not see Faith. He went directly to the owner Corbett "Cubby" Brennan. Cubby deferred him to Faith. When he spoke to Faith about purchasing the company, she turned him down. Tristen was not deterred. He tried again and failed. Then he came up with a brilliant plan that would endear him to one and all at Van Doren and then when he had gained their trust, he would strike to win. Now Faith was feeling conflicted being around Tristan and got upset that she could not stop thinking about him. Faith tried to talk to Tristan about companies being about people and communities that need the work. But will she ever get through to him? Will Tristan use Faith's feelings for him against her? Will he succeed in his diabolical plan to obliterate the company? I enjoyed reading this book. It is an easy read and did not take long to complete. I couldn't put this book down. Its a fantastic read that just keeps you giving.
Faith works as a COO (Chief Operating Office) in the Van Doren seating company. She had been COO for 10 years and loved It. She was very passionate about her work, it was like her extended family. Her boss Cubby was like a father figure, She had lost her parent a few years ago. They had left her the house and she was so happy living in her tiny little town called Chelsea. It was her birthday so she was off to party at her sister. On her way she passed the small air stripe and though she had send her old first love Tristan Booker. He had out of the blue dumped her and left to go to college, he never looked back. why was he back now???
Tristan had done very well for himself. A self made billionaire who took over small struggling companies and sold them off for a big profit. And now he had his eye set on Van Doren!!
Could Faith trust Tristan? Would Cubby sell the company? Would Faith finally get answers ??

This story involves a transformation of a sort. Tristan and Faith have a complicated history. They started as best friends then became lovers as teenagers. Talking about a future together suddenly stopped and Tristan went off to college and left Faith behind with no promises of a future together and no further contact. Fast forward twelve years, and he is now a billionaire businessman who buys up businesses then quickly dismantles them or sells them off. Now he has his sights on a business in his hometown, which is also the biggest employer. It is also the business where Faith is COO. She sees through his charming ways, and finds the ruthless manipulator underneath. The attraction and chemistry are still palpable, though she is fighting hard to tame both. Yet being in his hometown and interacting with Faith and the townspeople are bringing about some changes in Tristan. Could his conscience really come into play? Are those emotions really guilt and perhaps love? Read this deftly crafted book to discover just how Tristan and Faith’s future plays out.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second chance romance between Tristan and Faith. They dated in high school until after graduation and Tristan left town and never looked back. Faith was heartbroken, but she moved on and still works in the same company she did in high school. Faith is now the COO and loves her job. When Tristan moved to New York, he started investing and soon owned his own company that bought smaller companies and sold them off. When Tristan came back to his home town, he wanted to buy the company where Faith worked and he thought if he threw money at them, they would sell. Tristan wanted the upholstery company because of personal reasons and thought he would try a different tactic. Tristan said he wanted to invest in the company and thought it would be worth more money when he sold it. Faith didn't trust Tristan and wanted to avoid him. When Tristan saw Faith, he realized he still had feelings for her and wanted her back. I liked this book, even if i didn't like Tristan. I thought he was too arrogant and thought money was the answer to everything. Good one.

Tristan left Chelsea, Michigan and Faith twelve years ago when he was 19 and she 18 and never looked back. He broke Faith's heart. Now he returns an arrogant billionaire to purchase the upholstery company that keeps the town alive and sell it. Faith thinks she is over Tristan but when she sees him she realizes she still has unresolved issues with the way he abruptly left. Tristan also still cares for his first love. There is a lot in this story that reminds you of Pretty Woman. Tristan makes his money buying up small struggling companies and sells them off to conglomerates or internet entities. He is heartless and ruthless. Spending time in Chelsea and with Faith reminds him of bygone days. And of family and friendship. It is fun watching him change. There are bumps is the road with Tristan and Faith but they still have chemistry and some steamy sexy times. This was a good read with a HEA.

Marcella Swann is an author that you always know will give you a great read and with this one she definitely took it to the next level she is fast becoming a favourite author for me.
This is a book that is woven with many layers yes you have a second chance love story between Tristan and Faith but there is also the story of redemption for Tristan not to mention the underlying story of small companies in small towns been gobbled up by conglomerates

I really, really, really disliked Tristan at first. So arrogant, thinking he could just trample over anybody that got in his way to achieve what he wanted. His partner Ricky wasn't any better. Tristan returns to his childhood town of Chelsea and finds his ex, Faith is still there. Faith wants nothing to do with him having already been hurt when he left before. However, Tristan wants to buy the company she works for but finds resistance from both Faith and the owner Cubby. Part of his plan is to whisk Faith off to New York which in turn leads to a reconnection between them. It also leads to Tristan re-evaluating what he is doing with his firm. Needless to say I grew to love Tristan in the end.

At the beginning of this story it was very hard for this reader to like the main male character at all. Arrogance personified. However, it is understood for this depiction of his character as it fits to create the story line and leads to uniting up with his high school sweetheart. His manner seems to be changing a bit as he is not such a bitter pill to swallow. The main female character's proximity to the main male character seems to have had a dramatic impact on him, so much so, that he had an epiphany of his whole perspective on life. This was a very charming romantic tale.

This book features Tristan and Faith. They were together in high school until Tristan left for college and broke it off with Faith. This story picks up 12 years later when Tristan returns to their hometown. I really didn't care for Tristan through a lot of the book. Faith was a great heroine, she was a great sister, a hard worker, and had a dog that she took with her everywhere. The most important thing for me about this book was that when Tristan and Faith reconnected, it changed them both. I think you will enjoy this book, pick it up today.

A well written good enjoyable second chance romance. Tristan and Faith high school sweethearts with big dreams until he left with out a goodbye. 12 years later he is back to buy the company she works for, the towns livelihood, and the company he blames for his fathers death. He didnt plan on the feelings and chemistry being just as strong. This second chance romance had lots of twists and turns, hot steamy scenes, and lots of laughs that captivated me from page one. A must read having me on the edge of my seat.

I really enjoyed reading Rekindled by Marcella Swann!! I love a good second chance book and this one doesn’t disappoints!! I love how Tristan thought he was high almighty and was going to Seal the deal!! But, Faith was going to fight for her livelihood and was not going to make it easy for him!! This was a great book lots of laughs!! Give it a try!!

This book is a really good read. Faith was hurt by Tristan so many years ago when she thought they would be together forever. Will she be able to trust him when he comes back in to her life? Tristan thinks he get anything he wants, but he ends up rethinking some of his life. I thought this was well written and really liked Faith and Tristan's love story. Faith will make him earn what he wants instead of taking it.

I haven't read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

Faith was heart broken by her high school sweetheart Tristan. Tristan couldn't wait to leave Chelsea his home town when he graduate from high school and never looked by not even for Faith. Tristan comes back to town and wants to buyout factory that Faith helps run. Tristan thinks the buyout will be easy and done in 2 weeks. However, he didn't expect to run into Faith and try to earn her trust back after the way he left things when he was 18. Faith challenged Tristan in every way and she decides to keep her out of it. Will Faith lose her heart again to Tristan and be left behind in Chelsea once again? What will Tristan do about his greed to make more money or want to win Fait back for the long haul?
