Could have been VERY good had the story and characters been more developed. Needs to be edited badly. Having a family member who suffers from post-partum I was expecting more, but I did like the book......just didn't LOVE it.
This chick has some serious issues. Post postpartum depression is real. I feel that it was more about her being depressed over her ex. Book has some errors. Good message
I did not like this book at all. Don't get me wrong, as a mother myself, it's believable for a woman to suffer with post partum depression but Bianca's was unbelievable. I just didn't find this story to be good. There was not enough character development on any of the main characters so it was hard to understand why she felt the way she felt. Just was not my cup of tea!
This was a quick little read. Definitely needed some editing. Felt rushed at the end, wish there was more description because I, trying to picture the fireplace/wall in my head. Also why didn’t she just burn... nevermind...
Easy read, written well to get you interested into the story right away, doesn’t drag on, good plot line that’s easy to follow. It’s short but suspenseful from start to finish. Some circumstances of events were mind boggling but it is fiction after all. I did notice a few typos but nothing excessive. I was invested in the story when the (to me) quite sexually explicit part of the story came about. I was expecting this to be a fiction, suspenseful crime/thriller book from the description, so wasn’t expecting that. I enjoyed the story and the writers way of writing that got me invested into the story right away. Bc curiosity, I’ll be checking out the second book with hopefully no sexually explicit parts in part two.
I've read multiple books by this Author and this was the first time ever I had to leave a somewhat bad review. The storyline was on point. However the problem was the grammatical errors throughout the story which is a first. Bianca put herself in a position and had a child by someone who should have been off limits. Like a lot of women. She believed the lies Yosef fed her. Well that didn't work out well. With a crying infant and battling postpartum depression. Bianca lost her mind.
Thank you for this insight into post partum depression. Bianca was on the verge of bouncing back and moving on before she saw Yosef in the store. After that, the sadness over her failed relationship just sent her over the edge. I hated that baby Simone was left to scream and holler with little to no comfort from her mother. My heart literally ached for her. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to others. You've done it again Mr. Speight, well done!!!
Postpartum is not a illness to be taken lightly. Their are people that think its a disease to be ignored and not real. It takes over your life and have u really thinking thoughts u would not any other day. I feel bad for this young lady kind of. She had help, but refused her sister; and the one that was supposed to help her left and didn't deserve to be there. But that precious little baby didn't deserve to be hurt. Being a victim of Postpartum after losing a baby. Dealing with the two at the same time was unbearable! I didn't know if I was going or coming and couldn't make decisions. I hope in book 2 she gets the help she needs. I did enjoy this read both books were just short.
This was crazy from start to finish. Bianca went straight crazy plum fool and now she can’t control herself. Bianca was delusional from the beginning thinking you can get involved with a married man and think he’s going to leave his wife. All I can say about this book was baby let the drama begin. Can’t wait for part two.
This book was not as good as it should've been. it had to many mistakes,an the story plot was awful. Normally shameek Speight is an EXCELLENT WRITER...This book was was very poorly written...I will not stop reading his work tho.I now the next ones will be MUCH BETTER.
Ok read but I am so confused. She's the side chick, her and the wife are pregnant at the same time. But no where in the book does it say the wife knew the side chick was pregnant. When Brenda came to the house the house the author made it seem like an old friend. Maybe I missed something. Why would his wife be coming over to see her baby like they are friends.
This was a very good book but too short. Also it was a little confusing at first not knowing who the neighbor was. Turned out to be a wild ending I would have never expected
I do recommend this book to read. Can't wait to start on part 2 next and see what that brings
The main character’s life was far from dull. The way in which she developed was unexpected. This is a cautionary tale. I guessed one plot twist beforehand so I wasn’t wowed at the reveal. I doubt the main twist was due to what the author insinuated; it has to be more to it.
This was a really good book and I loved how it was straight to the point. The only problem this book had was the many grammatical errors and misplacing of names . Overall it was a banger
This was a good read although it was sad. Bianca should have reached out for help. Her PPD ruined and ended a lot of lives. Yosef shouldn't have been stringing her along and he shouldn't have walked out on his daughter.
Omg, really Shameek!!!! Ayo Bianca was messed up for real. Yosef had shorty mind on FIRE!!!! Poor Bernie, S.I.P Simone, crazy ass lady.. I wanna say see what you made Bianca do but that's what happens when you let a man in ur home, body an soul.
I choose this rating because this book gives a good account of what can happen to a mother after giving birth and thereafter taking those dangerous birth control drugs. All mother to be needs to read this.
This was a very good story. 10 star read. I must say, I like this author’s dark side. Bernie’s story was fast paced which I liked. The storyline was sad and it’s clear that not getting sleep must have caused Bernie to snap.
This woman was going through it but I’m tryna figure out how she became neighbors with the married man and the wife was friendly? I’ve seen many stories on the news about postpartum depression and this story is amazing.
This book was confusing towards the end. It didn’t explain that the wife came over with her new baby. Also it was explained that it was the next door neighbor and her baby. This was not a good book. Also the ending was very bad!!

Being in that situation is so tough. Bianca relied on live even though she knew in the back of her mindYisef would not be there. He played with her emotions and it ended terribly for everyone.
This was a good read. Bianca was not depressed because of Yosef, but he was a part of it. He had a wife so I don't know how he could've been there for both women.
