I loved this book. I think Lucy and Mina deserved better though. Renfield also deserved way better because Dracula was very controlling over him and he couldnt live his life the way he wanted to without Dracula following him. In addition, if Dracula didnt want to move to England, none of this would have happened

I just finished reading Dracula last year so I was intrigued when one of the pupils I'm tutoring said she's working on the play version in class.
The play makes some deviations from the original novel but has the same major developments.
The play is done very well. Different characters speak directly to the audience, reflecting the different ways the characters record their experiences in the original. The play is a fun read and there are also notes with lesson ideas.
[3✨] What can I say? i had to read this book for my ELA class and the reason why it has 3 stars is mainly because I had a good time reading with my classmates out loud and getting immersed to the story… if it wasn’t for that it would’ve been less entertaining.
