Gregor Beaumont is in a world of hurt that all the charm in his gorgeous, well-toned body can’t fix. His late grandfather, God rest his soul, wanted to make sure Gregor and his two playboy brothers settle down. He had the brilliant idea of buying up a huge share of the brothers’ engine company and using that as incentive for each brother to find Mrs. Right. Settle down or lose the company to a competitor. Well, that’s just not happening to Gregor, not when life’s so good at the moment. Gregor likes racing fast cars and seducing fast women, and not necessarily in that order. Settle down? Not a chance. Gregor has his own brilliant idea: find some wholesome and desperate girl to pretend to be his girlfriend. No harm. No foul. Unless things start getting a little bit too real.
Kara Alerby knows she’s a sucker for blues eyes and a great smile, so when Gregor comes into her theater wanting to hire her to act the part of his adoring girlfriend, she’s already got her defenses on high alert. But Kara’s a practical girl, and Gregor’s offering a boatload of money that would go a long way toward making her dream of creating a fine arts school for gifted kids a reality. She can ignore his smiles, his charisma, and his kiss-me mouth if it means she’ll get her school. All she has to do is remind herself, every second of every day they’re together, that it’s all make believe—even when it doesn’t always feel that way.
When Greg’s love of racing puts his life in jeopardy, Kara isn’t ready to watch another person die in front of her like her father did. And Greg isn’t about to stop doing the one thing that makes life worth living. The two are on a collision course, one that could break them apart forever if they don’t change directions…
New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’
Leslie North is the USA Today Bestselling pseudonym for a critically-acclaimed author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance. The anonymity allows her to fully express her creativity, especially in the romantic and fun sexy scenes!
In fact, she confesses to loving her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her everyday self! Her bestselling books are known for their strong characters, particularly women who aren’t afraid to challenge an alpha bosshole. And the humor? So infectious, you’ll be laughing out loud in public!
Leslie’s love for romance began when she picked up a worn-out romance book from her local library. She started writing soon after, and as they say, the rest was history. She now resides in a cozy cottage on the British coast, enjoying long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.
She LOVES reader feedback, and if you have any comments, don’t hesitate to contact her!
Very short enjoyable read! Fake relationship went real one. I liked both hero and heroine, although he was a bit stupid, lol She was too much jealous for my taste, although she's got some balls!
well... The story is cute and it has the happy-ever-after ending we all wants.
It's rather short, fast paced and with something bordering on insta-love. The story itself is fairly predictable, a bit naive and slightly ridiculous, but nevertheless the two main characters are likeable.
I really enjoyed reading this story about "fake relationship" between Gregor and Kara. The rich Gregor was actually nice guy and Kara were both likable characters, their interactions were perfectly written. It has steamy, sweet and romantic elements and it will make you feel good, in times frustrated but you will have HEA on the end. Go and read it for yourself too because I don't want to write more about the story to avoid spoiling other reading experiences.

I absolutely adored this wonderful, sweet little romance from the very beginning.
Gregor Beaumont likes racing fast cars and seducing fast women. His late grandfather wanted to make sure Gregor and his two playboy brothers settle down and he had the brilliant idea of buying up a huge share of the brothers’ engine company and using that as an incentive for each brother to find Mrs Right. Settle down or lose the company to a competitor. Gregor has other ideas. He wants a charming but desperate girl to pretend to be his girlfriend. No problem, unless things start to get complicated.
Enter Kara Alerby. Gregor comes into her theatre wanting to hire her to act the part of his adoring girlfriend and offering lots of money that would really help her realise her dream of creating a school for gifted children. She can resist his smiles, his charisma, his beautiful blue eyes and his kiss-me mouth if it means she’ll get her school. She only needs to remember that it’s all a pretence.
When Gregor's love of racing puts his life in jeopardy, Kara isn’t ready to watch another person die in front of her as her father did. Gregor isn’t about to stop doing the one thing that makes life worth living. The two are on a collision course, one that could break them apart forever if they don’t change directions.
Although Gregor has a very public, playboy image, I loved the sexy chemistry between Kara and him whenever they were together and they were both very likeable characters. Kara is bright, ambitious and caring and very much knows her own mind. Gregor is gorgeous, mischievous and soulful. The story was sweet and captivating to the end and loads of fun to read if a little too short.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone.
Thank you to NetGalley, Relay Publishing and the author for a copy of this book.
This was a good book. Gregor needs to find a women to save his company. Thanks to his grandpa leaving instructions that the only way he and his brothers can keep the company is by them finding wives. He meets Kara at an acting class. Of course she agrees and then they start their fake relationship. Which we all know how these types of books go but at least they were happy in the end.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
North has created yet another great contemporary romance novel. Kara is trying to save her theater when billionaire Gregor pretty much crashes her class. At the end he makes her a proposal for her to be his hired girlfriend leading to wife so he can get his inheritance. What neither banks on is them falling in love as they play along with their plan. Great feel good romance that I really enjoyed so I give it 4/5 stars.
I enjoyed Gregor & Kate's story. It was a short quick read. An intriguing story. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
This was a quick enjoyable "fake" relationship story. Both main characters were likeable and I was rooting for them to finally get together. There is a bit of insta-love so if that isn't your thing, you could possibly overlook it.
Overall, it was a fun read that I enjoyed. Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the chance to read and review.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

The Billionaire’s Sham Girlfriend is a quick romantic read that will leave you wanting for more. At the beginning of the story we are introduced to Kara Alerby, a theater teacher who is all too happy to start her first session of summer improv. She loves what she does, but when she gets the news that the theater has been put on sale she is ready to do just about anything in order to save it. But she having bad luck, which soon ends the minute a sexy new student joins her class. He seemed all too preoccupied with his phone that she doesn’t see him right away, but when she picks him to create a scene with her she finally gets to fully see him and she is immediately taken by him.
Gregor Beaumont attended the improv class for the sole purpose of hiring an actress to pose as his girlfriend and later wife in order to comply to his grandfather’s will. But the minute he sees Kara, he is immediately attracted to her and wants to get to know her more. As the face of B3 Motors, he co-owns the company with his two brothers who have been put in the same position as him, to find a wife in a short amount of time in order to keep their company. This has put tremendous pressure on Gregor and he is willing to do anything and everything in order to keep the company. It is after Kara agrees to his proposition that everything changes for them right away. He no longer wants to fake his relationship with her and wants to make things official. Yet, their pasts are what it’s keeping them from moving forward and they must deal with them first if they want to have a future together.
I really enjoyed reading this story, although the idea is not completely unique, the author was able to put her own little spin to it at the beginning. Their first interaction was fun to read, the character truly connected from the start and it was sizzling after that. I do have to say that the story felt a bit rushed for me. There were times when I felt that the author skipped some parts and felt a bit unresolved at the end. I’m really interested to read the rest of Gregor’s brother’s stories, the next book sounds very promising. I would recommend reading this story if you’re looking for something quick and romantic to read. :)
***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.***
The story seems simple, but it's emotionally charged I found the first chapters simple and predictable with even some parts that lacked details, like the accident in the middle of the book. Then, the second part contains more emotions and it is this succession of roller coasters of emotions that made me love this book that at the beginning I appreciated moderately. It even made me want to read Volume 2, which tells the story of Gregor's brother. I also liked the characters and especially the heroine Kara, who, at first, she accepts the money to play the false fiancee and to save her theater, then questions the whole project against the risks that her fake fiance takes. All this part is very moving knowing that she also wants to respect herself and must make choices, if her fake fiance does not want or can not do them. Kara wants to save her theater and her job at the community theater, but it's on sale. Gregor, a car racer, playboy and CEO, comes to see her to play his fiancée and to keep his business considering his grandfather's wishes. The closeness of the playboy and the good girl is inevitable, but the conditions in which they live are difficult for Kara and she asks the question if she can have this role in her real future life, with this man who risks his life every day. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I do like the fake relationship that turns to a real one, so I was quite keen to read this story. Billionaire Gregor needs a wife before he can inherit his dead Grandfather's fortune. He finds the ideal woman to play the role when he attends Kara's improvisation acting class. Kara needs to find a way to buy the theatre that she uses so that she can continue her classes when the owner wants to sell it. Gregor's offer is the perfect way to do this and she agrees to play the part of his girlfriend and then wife. Of course, the more time that they spend together, the harder it is to believe that this is just an act and they both start to fall for one another. There were things that I really liked about this story. Kara was very much her own woman and didn't capitulate or give in on what she believed in. I was slightly less keen on the changes that she wanted to make to Gregor, I think I would have prefered it if they could have found a way to accept one another a little more. Overall this was a good, if a little short, read. If you are looking for a fairly quick but fun read, then you won't go far wrong with this.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
Where the heck is my Billionaire??? Ugh. So jealous.
But yes, Gregor is a rich dude looking for someone to act as his girlfriend and future wife so he can meet the requirements to get his grandad's inheritance. Kara is an improv teacher who dreams of running the drama theater. They meet and Kara agrees to be his fake girlfriend.
This was a cute, short story. I adored Gregor even though he was a stubborn mule. I even liked Kara. They were cute together and you could see the attraction right away even though they ignored it as much as possible.
What I really liked was how unbelievable this scenario is, but it felt real. I feel like if this did happen this would happen. Lots of hurdles to overcome especially since Gregor has had nothing but one-night stands and short little romances. It was pretty predictable, but it didn't bug me.
The grandma was adorable and scary all at the same time.
I do wish that this was a little longer so we could see these characters grow more. I also would like some more in the epilogue there.
In the end, this was very enjoyable and it was a quick and hot romance. I am jealous. Why can't I be the fake GF of a rich, hot guy ;) Oh well. I'll give this 4 stars. I wanted more though.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the romance between Gregor and Kara. Gregor is a billionaire who needs to seem to settle down in order to keep control of his company with his brothers after his grandfather bought enough shares to take over their company. According to his grandfather;s will, Gregor has to get married and give up his playboy ways. When Gregor goes to Kara's acting class, he knows she is the one he is going to ask to play his girlfriend. Kara is shocked at first, but then she realized Gregor is willing to pay for her to marry him and she can buy the theater and open her own acting school. Kara also accompanies Gregor around Europe while he races in the formula race circuit. Things go well with their arrangement until they start to have real feelings for each other and Kara begins to worry about Gregor getting hurt while racing. I enjoyed this book. I liked Gregor and thought he really liked Kara. I liked how they really cared about each other, but i thought Gregor was a little reckless with his racing car. This was another good one from Leslie and i look for ward to reading more of this series.
Gregor's grandfather made some stipulations in his will that if his grandsons don't settle down and get married they'll lose their company. Gregor shows up at Kara's improv class and ends up asking her if she'll be his fake girlfriend to help him gain his company. Kara wants the theatre she currently teaches in so she makes a counter proposal if he incudes buying it for her as well as the money he offered she'll be his girlfriend. He agrees and they take off for the races. Things start to get blurred for Kara when the kisses take a very real feel to them. Once she starts having feelings for Gregor she can't stand the idea of him racing. When she tries to help him Gregor gets upset and Kara ends up going back home. Will Gregor come to his senses in time to save his relationship? Will Kara give him another chance?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Gregor and Kara is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A Delicious Contemporary Read! Author Leslie North has written a quick read about one of three billionaire brothers (book one), Gregor. Gregor is from the U.K. who lives in Seatle and along with his brothers own, develop and build F1 racing engines, and in Gregor's case races the F1 too. The premise of the story is that in his grandfather's will the brothers must marry or lose control of their company to a competitor. Enter Kara. An actress, director, teacher who wants her own acting school. The deal is struct between the two so that both benefit. But do they? Can they acclimate? Can they compromise? Liked this story because the author had me at F1...I'm a big racing fan. The premise was sweet and the plot wasn't drawn out but went right to what was going to happen. No long drawn out angst. Kara was a great female character. She was not a simpering female but an honest to goodness adult woman. Booyah! I'm recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment. I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book.
Oh My God what a book! This is an extraordinarily well written story. It is so completely thought through and such a joy to read. It had this wonderful flow to it and I had a hard time putting it down. This is the first book in the series and I cannot wait to read the next one. This book is a short one, so my review will be short to as not to give anything away. This is Kara and Gregor's story. He needs a wife and what better place to find one then an theatre. Why not an actress? Or in Kara's case the teacher of the class. Kara is about to loos the theatre where she teaches and Gregor's proposal is perfect. It gets them both what they want. Or so they think that is till they start to fall in love. But is he willing to compromise and give her what she needs? Or will he stay stuck and loos the one thing he loves the most. Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
Gregors late grandfather bought up a controlling share in his company and decreed the company was to be sold unless he got married. He hits on the idea for hiring someone to play the part. Kara takes classes teaching the fine arts to gifted children and dreams of buying the theatre to turn it into a fine arts school. Kara eventually agrees to pose as his girlfriend after he offers to buy the theatre and give her enough money to start her school. They are attracted to each other from the beginning and their feeling grow as they get to know each other. Gregor is also drives racing cars and lives for the thrill it gives him. After he crashes Kara decides she cant face the prospect of watching someone she loves risk their life continuously and asks him to stop racing. After he refuses Kara leaves and goes back to her own life. Can he find a way to win her back but still carry on racing.

I received a free copy of this book from the author.
You might have read a book similar to this one before. I will say the author's take on how to introduce these two characters was unique. They met during an acting class. So we have a billionaire who's in need of a wife and a teacher who struggles to make ends meet but love teaching. Each of these two characters has something to offer the other. Except they're virtually strangers.
It's funny how close you can get to another person when you spend 24/7 with them in their world. It's easy to pick up on their needs, wants, habits, and gather what's most important to them. Well...you'd think the last part was easy to decipher. Sometimes it takes an extra push.
Gregor and Kara definitely needed a little push but their story is pretty sweet. Their true feelings about one another are revealed and quick action is taken. I enjoyed reading their story. I think you will too. Y'all know I'm a sucker for a good billionaire story!
Kara is a drama teacher for high school and does improv classes at an old theater. But the theater is being sold and she has tried everything to get it. In walks Gregor, a Formula One racer, British, and very wealthy. He makes Kara a proposition... be his pretend girlfriend and then marry him so he can keep his company. He will pay her and buy the theater building just until he fulfills the wishes in his grandfathers will. It’s all a big act until she falls for him. When she tries to get him to quit racing and then invites some mechanics from his late grandfather’s company, he blows up. She gets upset and goes back to America. Can Gregor change for the woman he loves? Good story until Kara tried to change Gregor. If you love someone, you love them just the way they are. Even though she was trying to help him, she didn’t really know him well enough to do what she did. Sexy and fast cars.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
Excellent contemporary billionaire romance. Kira is an actress but she loves teaching improv to her students at the old theater. Soon it's going to be sold and she doesn't want to leave the old theater but she also can't afford to. Gregor is searching for a temporary wife. He thought asking a talented actress yet he knew she must be classy and last inspection by his grandmother. Their grandfather's will states he and his brothers now have under a year to marry or they loose their inheritance but most importantly the company they built themselves. Ms. North did a marvelous job of developing the characters. There was quite a bit of humor between Gregor, the wealthy Brit and Kira the actress and teacher. This was the first book in the Beaumont Brothers series. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books in this series and by Ms. North.

Personal Review: I really enjoyed reading this story about "fake relationship" between Gregor and Kara. The rich Gregor was actually nice guy and Kara were both likable characters, their interactions were perfectly written. It has steamy, sweet and romantic elements and it will make you feel good, in times frustrated but you will have HEA on the end.
Kara Alerby teaches acting and she wants to purchase a theater to build a school of her own, the only problem is money. She’s applied for grants to help with the funding but hasn’t had much luck. Gregor Beaumont is a handsome Britt, who is looking for a fake girlfriend to become a fake fiancé so that he and his brothers can gain control of their business. His grandfather put a clause in his will that the three brothers must be married within 18 months of his death to gain full control over B-3 Motors. Gregor has proposed a plan to include the help of Kara, and with him offering to purchase the theater for her plus millions of dollars, she’s all on board to being his fake fiancé. The only problem is they are both attracted to one another and have to get in the same race or they will both crash and burn. Leslie North is an amazing author, and she never disappoints with her story telling. She weaves you into a web and captivates you from beginning to end. A must read. On to book two.
Kara is a actor she has been offered by Gregor a whole lot of money to play his girlfriend and Kara jumps at the chance because she wants to open a fine arts school for gifted children, but what happens when her feelings become real instead of pretend?. Gregor likes fast cars and even faster women and not necessarily in that order, his grandfather bought up a whole lot of shares in Gregor’s and his brothers company. Now his grandfather has died and he left in his will that he wanted Gregor and his brothers to get married by a certain time or lose the company altogether, and that’s why Gregor asks Kara to be his girlfriend for a very large sum of money. This is just the beginning to this story but there’s so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages, a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I found this fake girlfriend romance to be fun and extremely enjoyable. Gregor and Kara were both very likable and more importantly I really liked them together. Their chemistry was very strong and easy to feel. An entertaining storyline pulls these two together while also pushing them apart do to drama, fear and emotional turmoil. Gregor was a typical poster boy playboy and adrenaline junkie. I loved that he totally thought he was so brilliant with his foolproof master plan that made to outwit his Grandfather's scheme and got caught in a trap of his own making. Kara, was caring, motivated, a bit of a dreamer and smart. She was very relatable and just came across as someone that you could know in real life. This is a great start to this new series and I look forward to reading the other books. I am posting a voluntary and completely truthful review.
This was okay. The writing flowed well, but the story line felt rushed, and there was gaps of days at a time. Gregor and Kara have okay chemistry, but Kara was not really my cup of tea after a while. How you can make such demands of someone you've known a matter of weeks is beyond me. It would be different if she didn't know his profession before going into the agreement, but she did. Not only did she flip out when he didn't do what she wanted, she acted like he was the one that didn't want to have a partnership. Really?! Partnerships are compromising. Not one party making demands, and expecting the other to just go with it without discussion. The ending ended up being very sweet, but I'm still not sure about them as a couple. I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review! I really liked reading The Billionaires Sham Girlfriend....the first book in a new series by Leslie North! It was entertaining in many ways......one way is in how the two main characters Kara and Gregor interacted!! It looked to me like they used joking around and bantering to cover up how they felt about each other while they "pretended" to be girlfriend and boyfriend! Another is the storyline......Gregor needs a girl to act the part of his girlfriend so he can keep his company! That's easier said than done, especially when they are "actually" attracted to each other and rather intensely!!! This book was funny too! It made me laugh 😄! It was a light hearted romantic 😍 read that entertained me from the first page to the last and ended on a good note with a HEA!!
