Great book to help think through different struggles we have. It helps to reframe the tests we face in life from obstacles to opportunities. With this book, as many books on leadership and life from contemporary Christian authors, you have to “eat the fish and spit out the bones,” as a mentor of mine would say. These are good principles and good conclusions, but I am always leery of the need for authors to proof text to make their point. Good advice doesn’t always need to have a scripture reference next to it to validate it, and often that reference when taken out of context can turn off the reader. But nonetheless it is a helpful book. It challenged me to really reexamine different test I have been going through this past season of life.
4.5 Stars. In considering the test and challenges we face in our lives, how do we respond? Do we recognize the divine potential within us to fulfill the purpose for which we were created? Gerald provides scriptural accounts of the various tests we face and self-assessment of our responses. It was spiritually uplifting with powerful principles that open doors to immeasurable blessings.
