After decades of war, one man strives to unite the world through the task of creating another. The global project to terraform Mars invites hidden danger on the founder, James Kennedy, and the project workers operating asteroid tug vessels in space. This realistic view of the future could represent the birth of a new living world or the destruction of the Earth herself.

Terra Forma is a clever, often tense, sci-fi thriller. Jot Russell's tale is one of politics, tragedy, and triumph, the future of a newly united Earth resting in mankind's ability to terraform Mars, while avoiding it's own destruction. Unfortunately, the success or failure of the project rests in the hands of daring space-tug captains and their crews, though terrorist elements stand in the way of progress, jeopardizing humanity's future to satisfy their own personal Agenda.
The author is extremely effective with his colorful portrayal of life in space, particularly the pitfalls and disasters when the unexpected occurs. The dialogue is very convincing and the characters believable, even sympathetic. A compelling read, the premise of the story is convincing and well-thought out. Stylistically, Terra Nova is often reminiscent of other space adventures by notable authors such as Asimov or Clarke. Definitely a worthwhile read.

This guy created a human struggle within a believable future. Brings me back to the days when I first read Friday; riding a tube and hopping a lift to space. Makes me want to read that old book, again. Love when she kills her trail in the second sentence. Takes a little longer for things to hit the fan in this book, but they do. I was a little surprised by who got it first.
