More Than Want You by Shayla Black Survival of the Richest by Skye Warren The Space Between by Kate Canterbary Her Seductive Dare by Lena Hart Black Edge by Charlotte Byrd Bidding on Brooks by Katy Regnery
I finally finished this bundle. I skipped a couple because writing style didn't work for me. The authors are popular so even those might work for you. There are some solid 4 star books here. Them being bundled free bumps my rating up.
This review is for Penny Reid's Attraction: I think of this as a novella/series or a serial/series. Either way, I have all three parts in my pretty little (not so little) tbr pile. So NO problem with the cliffhanger ending-really I'm NOT KIDDING. I read this on my vacation this week. Perfect timing! Penny's writing just gets to me! I get her...I love Kaitlyn. I was concerned that she's too "out there" for me and for Martin (especially Martin). First person POV by Kaitlyn. She's very kind-hearted but no push over. Watch out 'jerk-faces', you might get 'junk punched'. Kaitlyn realizes that Martin is too different from her. She is very cautious with her heart. She doesn't fawn all over Martin. That really throws Martin. Martin is uber rich and almost as intelligent as Kaitlyn. They've known each other as Chemistry lab partners for 2 semesters (approx 6 months). This book starts off at that point. Very unlikely pair in real life-I know. This is why we have this story. A unique (fictional), enjoyable story. The ending....... uh oh What is Kaitlyn going to do or say? Is Martin really a jerk face? ---- So... I need to get into Heat + the rest of these great books!
More precisely, since I had grossly limited experience in the kissing department, he was what I imagined a good kisser would kiss like. The kind girls fantasize about. The guy who just takes what he wants, like he’s hungry and you’re on the menu, but somehow makes it epic for both parties involved.
My first and only boyfriend had been gay. I just didn’t know it while we were dating through all of high school.
Sam wasn’t a frat party kind of girl either. Yes, she liked to get dressed up, but she called sorority girls ‘sorostitutes’ and fraternity buys ‘fratilos’. She labeled them ‘group thinkers’ and claimed they suffered from a herd mentality. She was kind of judgey that way.”
“It was a dream. I was sure of it. It was a dream within a dream or one of those dreams that felt eerily real. Maybe, if I was lucky, I’d be able to control the action of the dream and spend some naked time with Martin Sandeke’s superior physique without the danger of his personality ruining things.
But his laugh was a radioactive seduction and had a half-life of infinity. I wanted him to stop laughing never. It made his eyes crinkle and his mouth curve in a sinful smile, showcasing his excellent dental hygiene regimen.
My Review:
I am so in love with Penny Reid right now, I mean full-on, head-over-heels, giddy, giggly, contented sighing… fangirling, in love! Her stellar writing is crisp and sparkling bright. There is witty banter, snark a-plenty, self-deprecating humor, and clever wit. Despite my usual avoidance of anything YA, I am hooked, enthralled, and can’t stop reading. Told from the perspective of an intelligent yet romantically inexperienced, nerdy, book-worm, and virginal lamb, who is totally out of her depth when her college chemistry lab partner of two semesters makes his move. The lab partner, is a rich playboy, party-boy, jock, and her secret crush. He is used to getting what he wants and decides to woo her. Dating and relationships are new to both of them, and they find it exciting, scaring, thrilling, petrifying, agonizing, irritating, and heart pounding… and so did I as I read along. But arg – a wicked cliffhanger at the end – and scream! I want to junk punch rich boy, as he just broke our hearts…um, I mean her heart. Thankfully, the next two installments are already locked and loaded on my Kindle - and I cannot wait to dive in!

Review for Wicked Grind by J Kenner I love a second chance of love story which is what Wicked Grind is.
Wyatt Royce is a photographer who career is about to take off. If and it's a big if he can find the perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy and controversial show.
Kelsey Draper wants to change her good girl image and she believes Wyatt is the man to help her.
However, these two have history together. Is Kelsey in too deep? Will Wyatt and his insistence on dominating in and out of the bedroom be too much for Kelsey, after all it was before?
Will Wyatt and Kelsey be able to move on from the past? Can Wyatt forgive her for breaking his heart 12 years ago? Can he trust thar she won't run again?
Can Kelsey overcome her fears and fight for the man she loves?
It was obvious that neither had outgrown their love for one another. Told from dual POV's it moves between the past and present.
I thoroughly enjoyed Wyatt and Kelsey's story and look forward to reading more in the series.
This was free when I got it. It probably still is. It’s 10 full length books from 10 different authors. I think all the books are all part of a series; some of them are stand-alone, and some you absolutely have to read the next book before you can possibly move on with your life (or at least that’s how I felt).
I kinda have a love/hate with this box set. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (yes, that hard) that I was given the opportunity to read so many great, new-to-me authors/stories FOR FREAKING FREE!!! Seriously, I’d only read one of the books included in this set before, and re-reading it was so awesome, I immediately finished reading that series before I returned to the box set.
I also super dig that all of the books included in this box set are like, established, full-length stories, and a part of a series. They’re not new series, book one, ending in a cliffhanger, and book 2 is due out sometime in early 2020. The series seem to be complete. Or, complete enough. So when I fell in love with a story, and wanted more from the author, I knew exactly which book to get: the next one in the series. Then the next one. It makes deciding super convenient. It also made the cliffhanger super tolerable.
The draw back, is it’s 10 full length books. All strung together. So like, it made binging crazy easy, and impacted my life. Plus, it’s not 10 books, because I basically binged on like, 5 or 6 of the series. So like, I haven’t been as productive at work as I shoulda been. I’m not working overtime like I should be. I’ve been an 8 and skate kinda girl since page one. My boss isn’t pleased. It’s been longer than normal since any of the dusting has been done. The dishes got outta control. I need to vacuum. MY LIFE. IMPACTED.
So I didn’t realise going into this that most of the books would be actual full length books and not short stories so be warned! I only rated this 3 star because there were two stories which I had zero interest in and decided to skip (Carter Reed and More than want you) and although I did enjoy the other stories in here, they weren’t five star reads. I enjoyed her seductive dare by Lena Hart but these seems to be part of a very large universe and sequence of books so I’ve left reading any of the others for now. Feeling hot by Elle Kennedy is another book I really liked but just didn’t fancy reading about more of the Navy SEALS, however I’ve been meaning to pick up an Elle Kennedy book in FOREVER so it was nice to be able to finally get round to reading one of her books.
Overall I think this was one of the best collections of stories that I’ve managed to get for free from Amazon and I’d definitely recommend picking it up. I’d even pay for this if it’s no longer a freebie. I liked that the books were more full length instead of short stories because nothing felt rushed and I feel like it’s given me a proper introduction to the authors who I read in this collection.
I have read only one so far and I can't wait to read the rest. I will update my review as I finish the other stories. Carter Reed by Tijan-- 5 stars-- I was on an emotional roller coaster while reading this one. It will pull you in from the beginning where Emma has to shoot her roommates boyfriend because he is raping her and going to kill her and maybe he would kill Emma too. But Emma had to protect Mallory and keep her safe. But who would keep Emma safe? Then she remembers what her brother AJ told her right before he was killed. Find Carter Reed and he will protect her. She does and Carter will do anything to keep her safe. Can Emma get past Carter's mob connections and just be with him? Will Carter trust her enough to tell her what is really going on? This is the first for me by Tijan and I loved it. I am looking forward to reading more from her.
okay, i have already read Penny's & J. Kenner book, before I got this read. glad it was free. thought these were going to be new reads??! any who, yet to read the others ... glad those are new. & it does allow you to see authors u might not have check out before ... fun times. steamy cover ... give u a clue what will be inside. check it out!
10 book included in this box set: Carter Reed by Tijan Attraction: Elements of Chemistry by Penny Reid Wicked Grind by J. Kenner Feeling Hot by Elle Kennedy More Than Want You by Shayla Black Survival of the Richest by Skye Warren The Space Between by Kate Canterbary Her Seductive Dare by Lena Hart Black Edge by Charlotte Byrd Bidding on Brooks by Katy Regnery
I reviewed each book individually. I'm currently reading the last one which I also have as an individual book. Feeling Hot (Out of Uniform, #3) by Elle Kennedy. It's slow going. Life interruptions. It's not the best book I've read. I'm skipping parts to get to the drama. The sex is just vanilla, so immature. I'll try to update this review by adding the links to my other Goodreads reviews for each book.
4 stars----MORE THAN WANT YOU is the first installment in Shayla Black’s contemporary, adult MORE THAN WORDS erotic, romance series. This is thirty three year old real estate mogul Maxon Reed, and twenty five year old singer/college student Keeley Kent’s story line.
Told from first person point of view (Maxon) with a final chapter from Keeley’s POV, MORE THAN WANT YOU focuses on betrayal, revenge, family dysfunction and mistaken beliefs. Maxon Reed wants revenge against the brother that broke his heart, and tore apart their successful real estate business three years before. Believing his brother betrayed him, Griffin Reed set out to ruin Maxon’s reputation and life including an affair with Maxon’s then girlfriend, and shattering the heart of Britta-the woman who loved Griffin more than her own life. Maxon’s need for revenge involves college senior Keeley Kent, and a proposition to seduce his brother away from a multi-million dollar real estate deal. But things do not go according to plan when Maxon falls for the woman he hopes to use against the brother he once loved and adored. What ensues is the building romance between Maxon and Keeley, and a twist of epic proportions when Maxon goes ahead with plans to beat his brother at his own game.
Throughout the story Keeley tries desperately to convince Maxon not to go ahead with his plans. Keeley has fallen in love with our story line hero and Maxon’s continuing obsession to surpass and out maneuver his brother begins to build a wall between our leading couple. Keeley is a young woman who has fallen for a man who places revenge and greed ahead of the woman he loves.
The relationship between Keeley and Maxon begins as a one-night stand wherein Maxon offers Keeley a proposition that would help solve some of her current situation. But one night with Keeley isn’t enough for Maxon Reed, and the deeper into Maxon’s plans for revenge, the more Maxon realizes he might not be able to go through with his plans. The $ex scenes are intimate, seductive and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. The sexual chemistry is palpable.
We are introduced to Maxon’s business partners Rob, and Britta Stone, as well as Britta’s son Jamie. Britta is a woman whose love for Griffin Reed has never waivered even in the face of betrayal and loss. The family dynamics, including the brothers’ need to push at one another is a direct by-product of a father’s hatred and need for power and control. Griffin and Britta’s story is next in MORE THAN NEED YOU.
The world building focuses on betrayal, revenge, second chances and love. We are witness to one man’s life-long destruction of the family he should have loved, and one man’s need to be the best regardless of who he hurts along the way. The love between Keeley and Maxon is damaged when Maxon insists that to take down his brother is his only option because hatred has destroyed what’s left of his heart. His stubbornness and determination push away the woman with whom he has fallen in love.
MORE THAN WANT YOU is a story of revenge, secrets and lies; of romance, seduction and falling in love; of one man’s obsession for retribution against a brother he once loved. The premise is intriguing and exciting; the characters are spirited, heartbreaking and energetic; the romance is emotional and passionate. MORE THAN WANT YOU is an enticing and moving story of that will captivate your attention.

4 stars--WICKED GRIND is the first installment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult STARK WORLD erotic, romance series-a spin off set in the world of the author’s Stark Trilogy. This is photographer Wyatt Royce Segal, and dancer/kindergarten teacher Kelsey Draper’s story line. You do not have to have read the previous series to follow Wicked Grind. Some of the characters cross-over or are mentioned for cohesion and familiarity.
Told from dual first person points of view (Wyatt and Kelsey) WICKED GRIND follows the rekindling romance between famed photographer Wyatt Royce, and dancer/teacher Kelsey Draper. Twelve years earlier a then sixteen year old Kelsey Draper fell in love with rich and seductive school boyWyatt Royce-a summer fling that ended when Kelsey disappeared from Wyatt’s life never to be heard from again. Fast forward to present day and our heroine is desperate to help someone she loves. Enter Wyatt Royce Segal who is looking for the perfect model for his presentation and feature for an erotic art showing. Kelsey needs the money, and Wyatt struggles with memories of the past-a past shrouded in betrayal and lies.
Wyatt battles his need for the woman who destroyed his heart twelve years earlier. Believing our heroine betrayed his feelings, Wyatt has never moved forward in his relationships, always keeping his emotions locked down and guarded. Kelsey Draper struggles with her attraction to a man she knows despises the ground upon which she walks but there is a reason to Kelsey’s abrupt departure and her return comes at a personal price. Kelsey is desperate for money and posing for the man whose heart she broke is both a struggle and a desperate attempt to save someone she loves.
The relationship between Kelsey and Wyatt is one of second chances; a rekindling romance that follows Wyatt Royce as his treatment of Kelsey Draper is less than magnanimous bordering on emotionally abusive and sexually aroused. Kelsey has never stopped loving Wyatt Segal (Royce) but twelve years of heartbreak and guilt has kept our heroine too close to home. The $ex scenes are limited but seductive and intense.
We are introduced to Kelsey’s younger brother Griffin; her best friend and model Nia; Wyatt’s assistant JP, former fling Leah, Siobhan who works for Stark Entrprises, as well as Wyatt’s grandmother Anika Segel, and mother Lorelei Segal-both Hollywood royalty.
The world building focuses on the rekindling romance between Kelsey and Wyatt, and Wyatt’s coldhearted treatment of the woman that broke his heart. At times, Wyatt’s attitude was abusive and mean. Both Kelsey and Wyatt’s backstories are heartbreaking-terrible losses that shaped the man and woman they would become.
I did have a couple of issues with the story line: the quick resolution to a threat against Kelsey’s future, as well as the author’s use of a certain four letter word-although only used once-I felt it was unnecessary and possibly used for shock value or to place the story line into the erotic category.
WICKED GRIND is a story of second chances; of betrayal and misunderstanding; of family, relationships and love. The premise is energetic; the characters are colorful and dynamic; the romance is sensual and passionate. WICKED GRIND is a seductive story line of one woman’s struggle with guilt that finds our heroine stepping out of her comfort zone to save someone she loves.
I'm not actually finished yet but this could take a while since they are full length books and I wouldn't want to forget the first part. I'm half way through and have skipped 1 1/2 stories due to lack of interest then I got hit with a cliffhanger. That bugs me, a collection shouldn't have cliffhangers. Pretty sure I got this as a freebie, so at least I didn't pay for the annoyance with any thing beyond my time. Not sure what winter has to do with anything, not finding a universal theme to this collection. Nothing really phenomenal . I have read many of these authors before and they are hit or miss. $0.99 or less bin
As I read a book I’ll add a comment below and rating. So far this collection is a 4+ Star awesome selection of books! Carter Reed by Tijan Read this book before the Anthology and rated it 5 Stars Elements of Chemistry by Penny Reid Wicked Grind by J. Kenner Feeling Hot by Elle Kennedy Loved it! 4+ Stars More Than Want You by Shayla Black Survival of the Richest by Skye Warren The Space Between by Kate Canterbary Her Seductive Dare by Lena Hart Black Edge by Charlotte Byrd Bidding on Brooks by Katy Regnery
What an amazing group of authors. I haven’t had time to ready every book yet but I wanted to share reviews for the ones I have read.
Wicked Grind by J Kenner: I felt for Kelsey. She feels invisible but it doesn’t help that her father is overbearing and controlling which has truly shaped how she reacts. As she works at the country club, she catches Wyatt’s eye. Wyatt comes from Hollywood royalty, he struggles with establishing his identify out of the shadow of his family members. Deep down, these two share a similar struggle with defining who they are based on their own passion and beliefs and not what their family dictates. A beautiful friendship grows into a wonderful romance until one fateful night. When they are suddenly pushed back into each other’s orbit 12 years later, this becomes a trial of finding forgiveness when you never stopped loving someone. This was not an easy road and that night was full of surprises. They both had to overcome so much over the years but as Wyatt’s career is on the verge of exploding, Kelsey is still struggling with following her true passion. Will Wyatt’s return into her life be what she needs to break free from her father’s “chains”? Dive in for this beautifully sexy and drama filled romance.
Carter Reed by Tijan: Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride. Carter Reed grabs you from the opening paragraph as you experience Emma sneaking into her apartment to avoid her roommate & boyfriend only to find that her roommate is being raped. Emma reacts and kills the boyfriend, the son of a Mob boss but she had no choice, she had to save Mallory. From here Emma's world unravels but she remembers the day her brother died, he told her if she ever needed anything to go to Carter Reed, her brother AJ's best friend. Carter works for the other Mob family in town so she seeks him out for help. I really wasn't prepared for Carter Reed and how deep his love and affection go for Emma. This relationship is unconventional given the environment that they live in yet there are some amazingly sweet moments that keep happening which blew me away. The twists and turns throughout the story keep you turning the pages, I was surprised several times as events unfolded. As all of this happens you really see the strength that Emma has and how she survived after her brother died 10 years ago - she surprises Carter more than once. It's also wonderful to see two souls reconnect and admit that they also loved each other. The real challenge is can they overcome all the obstacles and 2 Mob families to be together. Loved the journey!
Sexy Grind by J. Kenner deserves 5 Wickedly Stars up to the sky! Sexy, sensual and alluring! Wicked Grind by J. Kenner is simply fantastic and an amazing addition to the Stark series! I am so happy that Wyatt finally gets a story of his own! He's the photographer that we get glimpses of throughout the world of Damien Stark, but now we dive into his world of poses, lights, and lost love!
Looking for the last woman to complete his massive project for his art exhibit, a blast from the past literally shows up at his studio. Kelsey Draper stole his heart 12 years ago and now seeing her in front of him wanting the job, he is beside himself! Kelsey is desperate for money to help her brother, she takes her friends auditioned appointment for a racy, sexy shoot (totally the opposite of her) but little did she know it would land her front and center to her past!
Impressive on this second chance romance with intertwining the past and present POVs so we as the reader understands the connection between the two! Be lost behind the lens with Wyatt as much as I was!
4.5 Stars for More Than Want You by the fabulous and talented Shayla Black! A wonderful story that will keep you on your toes all the way until the last word. Two brothers who fight to hold the #1 title in luxury real estate agencies and a feisty bombshell with pink hair who has undeniable chemistry with one of them and turns his world upside down. What happens when the race to win gets blurred when his heart gets in the way?
“This woman excited me. Inspires me.”
In all of Ms. Black’s romances she exceeds in her character build up as well as her creative communication between them. I can typically feel the character's emotions through the pages and in More Than Want You I felt every bit of it... Both character personalities flowed perfectly together, the bantering is quite humorous and was fun to read. The ending (really around 75%) had me surprised how the author spun it. Didn’t see it coming… Well done!
*Both books read previously & received as ARCs from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I love that familiar faces from previous series are mentioned in this book. I can never get enough of all the characters and previous storylines...I love that we get snippets of them along with each new series. J Kennedy never disappoints~her books just get better and better.
Kelsey Draper and Wyatt Royce have history from twelve years ago. Neither of them really knows the true story of how things ended between them right when they were actually just getting started. They both have regrets and it has shaped who they are today. You can feel their pain, insecurity, need, want and hesitation and yet as toxic as it all sounds you want them to make the leap of faith to see if they can overcome the past and trust again.
“You know you’re not playing fair.” “Maybe not,”... “But I like the way it feels to finally be in the game.”
Wyatt is working on a project that he has dreamed about for years. He's not sure he can pull it off, because his muse is no longer in his life and no else comes close to his vision.
“She was hotter than sin, and at the same times she was as cold as ice.”
Kelsey has so much guilt and regret from a mistake years ago. She is trying to right her wrongs, but may have to slip into more regret to save the person she should have protected years ago. She always thought she would do anything for her brother, but can she go through with Wyatt’s proposition? Can she finally step outside the box she has been trained to stay in? Will her heart be able to go through with it and walk away at the end unharmed?
“He reached down, grabbed another bottle, twisted off the cap, and took a long swallow. Because what the hell. He was already sore from the knife she’d stuck in him. Might as well anesthetize the wound.”
I can't believe the amazing collection of authors in this anthology. I have read something by all them. Some, like Katy Regnery, I am guilty of reading, devouring all of her books. Her story, Bidding on Brooks, is one of my favorites in the the Blueberry Lane series. Bidding on Brooks was much better than any dream I could have had. I like the family dynamics of the Winslow Family. They stand buy each other no matter what. They do what is necessary to make life better/easier for each other. Family support is the only thing that can get through Brooks walls. For that alone this is a great read. I know Bachelor auctions for charity exist. I never thought about a guy hiring someone to bid. Brooks got Skye to bid on him by promising her time as skipper on the voyage that was part of the winning package. She won the bid and blew Brooks mind. All of a sudden she was no longer the mechanic in overalls. She was the woman of his dreams, his fantasies, the most beautiful woman in the room. These two are clueless about relationships. Laughs, anger, irritation, frustration and happiness were weaved through the pages for the characters and me. The question is how do two people that have been friends for 20 years survive a week alone on a sailboat and keep their feelings in check? Will they survive when their secrets are revealed? There was no criminal element in this book which I appreciated. It does get a little old for me reading about kidnappings, burglaries... This was more real. There was a bad guy that added drama to the story. Guy was a slimy scumbag reporter for an online newspaper. He gave me the willies. He gave them a hard time, exposing things better left buried.
In Wicked Grind, our Hero, Wyatt Royce, is an established artistic photographer, who we first met in J Kenner's other series with Damien and Nikki Stark (Stark Saga series is A+), and Damien makes a cameo appearance in this story as well.
At the start of this story, Wyatt is trying to complete his sensual concept for a photo exhibit, but he still needs the pivotal model who will take his work to the "elite" level. Although his Hollywood-famous family supports him, Wyatt aspires to establish his work in the same realm as his uber-famous actress grandmother, screenplay writer mom, and elite restaurateur sister. His subconscious knows he's seeking his former childhood muse, Kelsey Draper, but he doesn't fully realize it until she coincidentally walks through the door to audition for the position. Twelve years have passed since they were separated due to circumstances and misunderstandings. Through a series of flashbacks, we experience their love story from the beginning twelve years ago when Wyatt is 17 and Kelsey is 15. Flashbacks are told from a dual point of view depending on whether it's Wyatt or Kelsey who is trying to resolve his/her feelings from the past, which prevent each of them from moving forward in the present. The flashbacks really encapsulate the emotional struggles Wyatt and Kelsey felt in the past and are trying to deal with in the present.
They do reach their HEA, but I would have like to see and experience more (hopefully in a future novella?), rather than the unique epilogue-type ending, which I thought was cute.
Wicked Grind – J. Kenner J. Kenner has done it again, introducing great characters that have lots of chemistry while working through issues from their past. Wyatt and Kelsey knew each other when they were teenagers and on the night he took her virginity her world crumbled. But it was not until they reunite for a sultry photo shoot that what happened in the past is understood. The chemistry between the characters is so honest and the storyline brings a human connection to the idea that a woman can be powerful as well as sexy. A great read that I highly recommend. Cannot wait until the next book in the series.
More Than Want You - Shayla Black Shayla Black has outdone herself. This story had everything....love, hate, greed, secrets and lies. Mason and Keeley had chemistry from the first few pages and throughout the twists and turns were able to get their happily ever after. What happens when you think you know what you want and suddenly your entire world changes and you want something completely different....you have to read the story to find out. Cannot wait for more in this series.
Downloaded this set of contemporary sexy romances for five reasons: Skye Warren, Penny Reid, Kate Canterbury, Tijan and Elle Kennedy.
I already have the entire set of Walsh family romances from Kate Canterbury in my Kobo but it sure was great fun to visit with Patrick and Andy, and get sucked into the family dynamics of the Walsh brothers and sisters again.
Tijan’s Carter Reed was a surprise find that was intense and absorbing. So much so I simply have to get the follow up book.
Skye Warren kept me enthralled with Harper’s triangular love affair with Christopher and Sutton. I found the return to Tanglewood so intriguing that I went on to finish the duet with The Evolution of Man.
Then, Penny Reid’s Attraction - Elements of Chemistry brought back such good memories of the romance between Martin and Kaitlyn, two smart yet socially awkward individuals caught between family and societal expectations, that I couldn’t resist reaching for the entire set again for another satisfying read.
Elle Kennedy captures my interest with her off campus series, but the short novel in this compilation did not meet my expectations of her work set by the new adult romance. I skimmed through a few of the rest, which are mostly hits with a few misses that didn’t leave lasting memories warranting a pursuit of the series these novels are part of.
This amazing book draws you in and keeps you until the very end.
Wyatt Royce (a very talented photographer) comes from a very successful family and wants to earn his success on his own. When he meets Kelsey Draper he realizes how unique and special she is and immediately wants her. Where Wyatt is trying to prove himself worthy, Kelsey is dealing with demons and guilt brought on by her father. Watching how they both overcome their fears to succeed in life and as a couple is truly amazing.
This book is fantastic from start to finish. J. Kenner has done it again! I love Damien (who is has a role in this book) but Wyatt is now a close second to him.
More than want you: Shayla Black
Shayla's first book in the More than word series. I fell in love with this series from the beginning. Maxon Reed and Keeley Kent (aka "Sunshine") come together in an unusual way. The journey they take will have you laughing, crying and cursing (sometimes all at the same time)
I have only read Wicked Grind by J Kenner so far so here is my review for that book
What a great start to J. Kenner's new series Stark World. Wicked Grind is a spin off from the Stark Series and in book one we meet Wyatt and Kelsey. Wyatt and Kelsey fell in love twelve years ago when they were teenagers but the timing wasn't right, meeting in secret meant hearts got broken, misunderstanding on both sides tore them apart will they be able to forgive and forget or will the feelings of anger and hate win again. Blame can sometimes be hard to overcome........ I loved both of these characters, both so very different, one is a guy who grew up in the spotlight the other is a girl who's father kept her under the thumb but somehow they complement each other if they can only leave the past in the past. I loved that we got snippets from the characters of the Stark Series but they didn't take over. Second chance romance is one of my favourite genres and this author writes a great love story which not only hooked me from the first page it kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end.
All of the authors in this compilation are wonderful, if you haven't read any, this is a great into to all of them. You won't be at all disappointed. Let me continue with one review, a review of my favorite book in this box set, and that is Black Edge, by Charlotte Byrd! There are two things you need to know: One: there are no spoilers in my review, and two: I have NEVER read a book by Charlotte Byrd that I didn't love completely! Her stories and characters (this one is no exceptions) are all well written, well developed and just suck you in from the very beginning, to make you not want to put your Kindle down. A page-turner, with no shortage of steam, chemistry, and drama, just when you think you know where you are going with this, boom! you are taken in a different, amazingly understanding direction! An auction story with a wonderfully strong and witty lead character, you won't be sorry you picked this one up! Complete entertainment from the first to the last word. I LOVED this book just isn't enough! You NEED to read this AND the others!
These books are an overall average of four stars for me, and I am reviewing three of the books in this series individually, as follows: **** Wicked Grind by J. Kenner: Good storyline with a Slow build. misunderstandings in the past, that once understood allow for a second chance. But will the risk be too much? A good story with a really nice HEA. **** Survival of the Richest by Skye Warren: **** Good! This story was fast paced with some unexpected twists. It kept me interested for the most part, but ended with no resolution - that comes in book 2 I guess... **** The Space Between by Kate Canterbury: A good read! The initial pace of this story was a bit slow for me, starting out with a slow burn between Andy and Patrick that took a while to spark. Once the pace picks up, an enjoyable story, with wonderful family and friend interactions, and a deep love story between likable, strong H/h that ultimately culminates with a HEA.
