Jake, his brothers, and their dad are slowly starving, and drowning in a pile of dirty laundry since their grandmother's death. They can't give the Quick Ranch the future their grandmother wanted if they can't even feed themselves. Sick of frozen pizzas and no clean shirts, Jake's dad orders him to hire a housekeeper, and do it quick. He has no idea where to start and doesn't have time on top of his ranch work, but the local minister has the perfect candidate. Jake hires Ande as soon as he hears her story, and vows to do anything, no matter how dirty, to keep her and her two small children safe. Now, he just has to hope he can keep his hands to himself and not ruin this for his family.

We all know real life, real people, and real love aren't always roses and rainbows. I do my best to keep my characters, and their love, as real as possible, even if that includes an occasional stereotype or insta-love. Let's face it. Stereotypes exist for a reason, and love at first sight is a real thing.
So, if you're good with those things, and with: dirty-talking, overprotective alpha males as heroes, and strong, smart heroines; sexual tension and steamy sex scenes; a man willing to do anything, even kill, for the woman he loves (and sometimes the other way around)... Well, then you might love my books. If those things make you squeamish, these are definitely not for you.
In case you've just found me, I'm Aden, a male romance author in a female dominated world. I live in the south eastern US, in the middle of nowhere, with the wife of my dreams, Elyse. We have a few fur babies, and a horse named Joe.
I wanted to like this, but between the first person narrative and the underdeveloped characters and plot, it was hard. The Big Thing that happened was treated like an inconsequential nothing.
Anyway, I might read Nate’s book and see if it’s any better, but Sam seems like a player, so I’m skipping that one.
I really liked this book. Slightly longer than the average novella, it features a mother hiding from an abusive husband and a house full of grown men unable to boil a pot of water.
The relationship between Ande (pronounced An-deh? And-ee?) and Jake progressed slowly and naturally. Neither of them really know what to do with their attraction and often second guess themselves. Although they make it down the aisle, I felt like they doubted what they had to the very end, for no good reason. It was sweet and endearing at first but it got old. I also hated the time jumps ("Several weeks later," "Things went on like that for a while," "Two weeks after that"). We don't miss out on much, but I felt disconnected from the characters when this happened.
Ande was a great mom to her kids. I still have no idea how old her son was, but the moments with Jake and the kids were super cute. And realistic-so much poop. I would have loved some more interaction with Jake's brothers, but now I'm just being greedy.
I'm definitely looking into the next book of the series. And I might even check out other books by this author, but let's be honest, the virgin hero drew me here.
This was my first book that I have read by Aden Lowe and I really enjoyed it. It was a sweet story with a bit of steam. There were some twists I didn’t see coming and shocked me a bit. I am looking forward to reading the other brothers stories!
Quick and Dirty is a fast paced country romance. Filled with heart, romance and a wonderful storyline. Jake will own your heart and Ande will show you how strong a mum can be when put to the ultimate test to protect her children. This book might be a quick read but it takes you on a country ride that packs a punch.
In this book we have Jake Quick, the eldest of 3 boys. The men still live at home on the ranch with their father. They are drowning in laundry and dishes. No one knows how to cook, and they can't survive much longer on Frozen meals, and cereal. Their father, tells Jake to hire a housekeeper, to manage the house and meals. The last thing any of the men want to do after working a hard day on the ranch is to come in and do laundry and cook. Jake calls the pastor who performed their grandmother's burial. Of course the pastor knows who needs a job right away.
The pastor contacts a young woman, Ande who is new in town. Yes, she is interested in the job, and having a new place to live. Her tiny shack she's in now isn't going to be big enough when the baby starts crawling and walking. Ande goes out to the Quick Ranch. She meets Jake and likes the house and the duties. The small house, where their grandmother lived is just across from the main house. This will be perfect for her and her small kids.
Jake is instantly taken with Ande. He knows this will be hard working around her. Jake's father makes a decree to Jake and the other brothers that Ande isn't to be touched. She is to work, clean, and cook.
Ande isn't sure at first about all the gruff men and her little one's being around. She hopes they won't get mad at them like her husband she ran from.
Will Ande and Jake be able to have a relationship and get to know one another? Or will Jake's father put an end to it before it begins?
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
Aden Lowe really knows how to spin a tale that grasps your attention and keeps you enraptured with the wonderfully written characters. Quick N' Dirty is no exception. The story line is captivating as you read about an abused wife and mother, Ande, and her two small children running from the man who was supposed to love and protect them. Now in a place that she hopes he will not find them, Ande needs to make a living for herself and her children.
Jake, his two brothers and their father live alone handling the day to day working for their ranch. Having no women around any longer, and four men who have no talent in the kitchen and apparently no time for any housework at all, they are starving for good home cooked meals and some general house cleaning. Having had one too many cold breakfasts, their father announces that they need to get a housekeeper and orders Jake to find them one. The job is like a gift to Ande who begins working for the men and it doesn't take long for Ande and her children to get under the skin of the men of the house, especially Jake. But he can't make a move because she is still married and even though he knows what her life has been like, he won't push her until she is ready. But first, there is her evil husband to contend with.
I loved every aspect of this story and I know you will too. This one will definitely leave a smile on your face as well as a need to see what comes next. I highly recommend this book.
I have come to love Aden Lowe’s books and writing style. He knows how to tell a story that makes you smile, laugh, swoon and best of all feel a part of the story. He gives you characters to love and storylines that grab you and keep you in their grips to the very end.
Quick and Dirty is the start of a new series. A series, that if this book is a judge, is going to be a hit, at least in my book. It’s fun, flirty, sassy and romantic. The story is about the Quick brothers and their father. The boys mother took off when they were small living granny and dad to raise them. Granny gave them love and good ole country values while dad taught them to work hard and live off the land. When granny dies they are lost, as she’s taken care of them all for so long. Dad decides they need a cook/housekeeper and tells Jake to find them one. Not having a clue where to start, Jake calls the local preacher for help. In walks Ande and her kids into the Quick’s lives. Ande is on the run and hiding from an abusive husband. From here the story takes off and will take you on a funny yet daunting journey.
This is a great start to the series and this reader is looking forward to book 2 in the series. 2 Thumbs up for a great 5 star read.
I am a big fan of Aden's books and once again he did not disappoint. Poor Jake, Sam, Nate and Jonathan need a woman in the house. They are failing at cooking, doing their laundry and basic household chores while trying to run their family owned ranch. It was time to hire a capable person to help them. Jake was given the task since he was the oldest and as Jonathan said " How's a man supposed to do a full day's work on sugary stuff meant to keep kids hyped up." Jake was in luck with the help of the preacher they found a woman for the job, but she came with two children and an ex she was hiding from. It is an adventure from the moment Ande was hired. The brothers Jake, Nate and Sam were told they were not allowed to get involved with this women she was hired to do a job. Well that didn't exactly work out that way. They took her in with open arms after all they are 4 very protective men. I don't want to go any further and ruin it for you. If you enjoy a good story with romance shirtless cowboys ;-) love and laughter you will enjoy this book.
I really had no idea what to expect from this book. Part of my interest was that it was a western romance (One of my favorite genres), written by a man.
This novella was a very quick read, a fast paced romance with a twist that was presented in such a matter of fact way it made you wonder if you read it correctly. The book had some moments of humor, especially the "skunk on the porch" scenes.
I loved the way Jake and his family embraced Ande and her kids. Jake and Ande's relationship wasn't instalove, but the book moved at such a fast pace, it might seem that way.
There were some things I would have like more information about, like Jake's relationship with Manny, or what the deal was with the guys at the movie theater, etc.
I can see where a woman writer may have approached some things differently, but found this to be somewhat refreshing and intriguing. I did enjoy this book, and will go on to read Sam's story.
This is a sweet, quick read that I really liked from start to finish! I love that feeling when I can start a book and finish it in an afternoon and still feel like I got a great story with characters I love – and Aden Lowe definitely delivers! I loved how these two families came together and Jake and Ande just made me swoon!
For me, these are characters that are just easy to love! Jake, his brothers and his dad, while rough around the edges are awesome and Ande and her two kids, my heart broke for what she has been through but I loved that she finds her happiness. Both families need a little help and they find that they are just perfect for each other.
I really do love Aden Lowe’s ability to tell a story and this is definitely one of my new favorites from him! It made my smile, it made my heart happy and I definitely want more of the Quick brothers!
3.5 stars. This was a fun book that had some out there parts. Jake, his father and two brothers are at their wits end. Since Gramma died they have been surviving on cereal, frozen meals and whatever they can cook and not burn too badly. They have dirty dishes and few clean clothes. They have a ranch to run. Jake calls the reverend to get a recommendation so they can hire a housekeeper. Just so happens, a young woman Ande with two small kids has sought refuge and could use a job. Feelings are happening, now what. Sweet and entertaining book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This author is a one-click author for me, I just love all of his books! Jake, his 2 brothers and father are a mess since their grandmother died a year ago. They handle the ranch work and she handed all of the household chores, but they are failing at keeping the house in shape without their grandmother. Finally the patriarch has had enough and tasks Jake with hiring someone to tend to the household chores. In comes Ande with her 2 kids. All of the Quick men are smitten especially Jake. Ande comes with her own set of problems and Jake wants to solve all of her issues and does without Ande’s knowing. This a sweet story and I can’t wait for the series to continue!
Huh! I really enjoyed this sweet and simple story of how Ande, a desperate single mom of two small children end up saving the Quick family from self districting. She was just what was needed to help those five struggling men heal and become a family again. Nice writing style, easy to follow storyline with good pacing. An enjoyable read from start to finish!

This is my kind of book. I consider it a must read. A new author for me. I have plans to read a lot more of his books. The boys and their father have a mess of a house and can't cook. With all that going on they need to make a sucess of the ranch. The preacher brings them a woman with two children and other baggage. This is so much fun to read. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
5-Stars, and recommended if you enjoy a sweet, possessive love story
My first ever read by this author, and I'm so glad I picked up this book. The description didn't prepare me for the emotional connections between the characters, or how I'd be rooting for them by the end. I literally cannot wait for the next. Please sir, may I have more?
I have read a few deep/dark books lately and this was just what I needed! 😁 such a lovely sweet short story, all the characters are very likeable and I can’t wait to read the other brothers books (and maybe their dads 😉) Loved it 😁 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Since their grandmother died his father and brothers have not been coping. His father orders him to hire someone. He hears about her and hires her so her two children will be safe as well. All he needs to do now is keep his hands off her. Will be be able to? See if he can

Great book. The writing is great & I loved the story line. These men are at a complete loss without a woman around to help them. They may be strong and hard working but when it comes to house work & cooking... forget it. Ande brings a lot to the table. Some things they really don’t need. I loved it & im looking forward to the next book
I love the way this guy writes. His stories always have these good ole boy characters that are always full of southern charm. My ONLY critique about this book is that it's not long enough! Course, to me, no really good book ever is.
I loved this story. The Quick brothers stole my heart. Ande and Jake's story was awesome. Jake is really protective and protects Ande from the first day. I cannot wait for more of these books.
I loved this book. If you want a book with everything , emotion, laughs, and everything in between, this book is for you. The characters are great, the story is fantastic. I couldn’t put this book down. I definitely recommend this book and this author
Loved this. It's not often I read something written by a man and truly enjoy it but, Aden always manages to keep me entertained. Ande and Jake's story was sweet and sexy and the perfect read during a lull in my day!
Loved this story. Aden has himself another hit of a series. A fantastic mom looking for a break and a place to disappear falling into a hoe with a group of bachelor brothers that need help. Definitely a country romance with a bit of steam.
You never know where you'll find love - it could happen when the preacher brings someone over to interview to be your new housekeeper, since your grandma died leaving you , your dad and brothers to fend for yourselves.
What an incredible story! Got me so wrapped up in it that I couldn’t stop thinking about the characters sine I had to break away for an appointment. I wish I could live on that farm. And the kids - adorable. Can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
Quick N'Dirty, was a quick and sweet read. Jack live together with his dad and 2 younger brothers on a remote farm. In need of a housekeeper Jack hires Ande, single mother with 2 small kids. It was a quick read with a bit of drama and a happy ending
