YAAAAAYY! The story that I have been waiting for since...what, book 2 or 3? is finally here and it was HOT and WONDERFUL!
I think that when I read the first story in this series, I thought, "hmmm, well this is cute, porny, mpreg fluff" and I still liked it, but now it has really turned into like, one of my favorite mpreg/shifter series with expanding characters and relationships, advancement in the overall story plot - new alpha takeover, Joshua, changing the bear laws, the deer shifters, etc - and I'm totally invested in these characters.
Like Ben. Oh Ben, my heart :*( Like I said, I've been waiting for his story, and it totally delivered. I love that it took him time to grieve and realize it was okay to love Red and Quentin. They were totally perfect for him, and I loved the epilogue.
I look forward to more of this series, I hope it keeps going for many, many more stories! I wonder if the deer shifters are going to get involved with any bears? And will we see the kids growing up, like 15 years later, especially Ben's, Red's, and Quentin's son.
This one really but me in the feels. Not just for the mates but for what we learned as well. While I can't wait to see how that develops, I know where it leads and that's bittersweet. Still wondering about Eric the human Asher's dads kidnapped. Plus, I want to know how Graham and Declan's investigation is going. Always more questions needing answers to lol.
I love delving feeling into Bear Mountain. Ben survived the loss of his mates, barely. A second chance for love comes his way and Ben's reluctant to take it.

Yahoo! The series is back. As any of you who follow my reviews will probably remember, a couple weeks ago when I reviewed Promised to Two Bears, I was less than enthused. For reasons which I stated in that review, I didn’t find that particular installment up to the normal standards of this series and author.
I’m super happy to say, that is not the case on this new installment. I very much liked the story told in this installment, and was so happy to see Ben finally get a happy ending. OOPs, if that counts as a spoiler, too bad.
Ben’s mates were murdered as you recall by Traylon and Oberon back when those two bad bears were still alive. I didn’t realize until this book that Traylon and Eli, who was one of Ben’s murdered mates, were cousins. So Traylon’s greed didn’t know bounds even within his own extended family.
Ben has felt lost since Mick and Eli were killed. Moving through life in a shadow, never moving out into the light, even though it is being offered by the bear community. Red and Quentin in particular have been helping out and keeping him safe.
•But is there more to it than that? Can a human who loses his bears be granted a new set of bear mates? •What will happen when Ben finds Red and Quentin in their “play room”? I liked the introduction of the mild BDSM to the story. •Will they be able to find Ben once he runs away from Bear Mountain? •Finally, at long last we found out how old Joshua is…and it is a lot older than the bears have been conjecturing!
I seriously liked this installment, and now I’m again willing to say I recommend it, and recommend the series. You might even love the one I wasn’t crazy about. I’m eagerly going to be waiting for the next installment in this one. I still have no idea who is slaughtering the deer shifters on the nearby reservation! Inquiring minds want to know!
When I didn't think the series could get any better, Kelex proved me wrong yet again! Been waiting for Ben's story after the heartbreak he went through that was mentioned in the previous books. This one made me cry the most! Like real ugly snot and tears! I wanted to smack and hug Ben at the same time. Was often getting frustrated with him and shouting at the book "your mates are there for you. Let them love you like you need!" I've just finished this book and now feel exhausted because I feel like I've been through the whole emotional heart rendering journey with them! There aren't enough words that I can say to let you know how passionate I am about this series and that's why it gets my 5 stars! Totally recommend this book and the whole series. You won't be disappointed! Heartfelt thanks go to Kelex for being a great author and being able to write these books for all our enjoyment! Will once again wait patiently for the next in the series!!!
So there were three twists with this book, which was why it was a little longer. First, it's the first time we had true M/M/M as Red and Quentin were in a (secret) relationship before Ben came along. Remember, before Book 3, relationships between bears were forbidden by bear law. The second twist was that Ben had previously been mated to two bears who were killed in Book 3 so we had to deal with his grief over that, and his acceptance of his new mates. The third twist I don't want to spoil. You'll have to read it for yourself. This book made me teary because it was just very 'real'. There were very real issues that had to be dealt with in very adult ways and I think the author handled them really well. My only niggle is that Ben's decision to have Red and Quentin mate him in the middle of the book didn't make sense, considering what his plans were, but the book gets back on track after that and finishes strong. On to Book 7. I already read Book 6.
So happy Ben was able to release his guilt, and see that his true destiny was standing in front of him. Red and Quentin, were his future, these two were meant to be his, and give him the life he's always dreamed to have. Loved this beautiful story!!! My favorite. Nothing sexier than these smoking hot Bears, and thier special little human.... FANTASTIC
This was a realistic concept for this book...when is it to soon to move on...I felt bad for Ben...he was so confused a out his feelings...I'm also glad.it was explained how he ended up with his first mates and how he really belonged with Red and Quinton ... off to book 6
I was anxiously awaiting Ben, Red, and Quentin's story and I was not disappointed! There's a lot going on and you definitely need to read these in order so you're not lost. All of my questions before I read this book were answered. This series gets better and better. I can't wait for the next one!
Definitely my favorite of all of this series so far! Ben's anguish over losing Mick and Eli has been palpable over the last few books and truly heart-breaking in this one. How hard must it be for him to have new mates so soon after the death of his first mates? No wonder he found being in Bear Mountain too painful to endure.
