This novel is a sweet YA romance that gives your the holiday feels. The romance between Ethan and Chloe was superb. There was scorching chemistry, yet such sweetness. I liked how the two characters got to know each other and started to fall slowly. There was a wonderful slowburn. In addition, I really liked the family of Chloe. They are such sweet hearts. They all cared for her and everyone around them. I also liked the side characters of Ethan's brother and Chloe's sister. They had such a sweet romance. The overall setting and writing left you with the fuzzy feels. In summary, sweet romance that leaves you wanting to enjoy your holidays.

This was, surprisingly, really good. Very sweet and romantic. And also very spicy and hot. Ethan and Chloe had such explosive chemistry. I loved it. Loved them.

What I liked...
It was like a Hallmark Christmas movie: Now, for anyone who knows me, my favorite holiday is Christmas, and one of my favorite things to do during this season is parking myself on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and a plate full of fudge and cookies and watch Hallmark Christmas movies all day (literally all day). This book read just like one of these movies. The family literally lives on a Christmas tree farm. I loved it from the very beginning. I know it may be a couple weeks after Christmas that I am reading and reviewing this book but I felt the spirit of the holiday strongly while I was reading this. From the log cabin in the middle of a snowy forest to the constant strings of Christmas lights in every scene, this book extended one of my favorite holidays in the best way. Also, I want to try every flavor of hot cocoa that was discussed in this novel! Peppermint mocha, gingerbread hot cocoa, cinnamon horchata hot cocoa! I mean come on!!!
Family: This book held strong themes of family. Chloe and her sister have such a strong relationship that goes through rocky times but still remains strong. It reminds me of my sister and me when she went across the country to college. The entire Price family unit is strong and only becomes stronger with the three new additions to the family (You will know what I mean when you read the book 😉 teehee). Ethan gained so much more than a relationship with Chloe, he gained a family and it was a beautiful thing to read.
The characters: You may be sick of hearing this but… I love Christina Benjamin’s characterization. Something I discovered in this read, that as always present in her other novels, is that there is always something new to discover about these characters. Every single character has a depth that is never revealed fully until the end of the story, which makes these books interesting to read and definite page-turners. And of course, I even felt an attachment to the antagonist, Brady. I mean he is a harmless young man who will grow out of his stupid ways and I hope he finds himself in a great relationship.
The ugly Christmas sweaters: (What can I say, I have a soft spot for them)

What I did not like...
Beginning: I will say, it did take me almost half of the book to become attached to these characters, but once I was, I was hooked. By the end, I was flipping the pages, wanting to know what will happen in the end.

Overall…
I loved this book. It was a super short and sweet read that is perfect to read while cozied up under a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa, coffee, tea, or anything else. I recommend this book at any time of the year, but especially during the Winter!

“They are bookends, designed to hold each other up the way no one else could.”

I've really enjoyed every book in this series and this was one of my favorites. A holiday romance where the heroine, Chloe, lives on a Christmas Tree farm/Holiday Lodge. With her sister off to her first year of college and her heart having been recently broken by her long-time friend, the boy next door, she's feeling sad and lonely. Feeling sorry for herself and not able to build up any holiday spirit, she vows to work hard and just get through the season. When her sister shows up for a surprise Christmas visit with her new boyfriend and his younger brother, Ethan, Chloe's spirits are lifted, until she realizes that her problems are nothing compared to the orphaned boys her sister brought home. Sweet, warm, and satisfying, kind of like a great cup of hot cocoa, this was the prefect spirit-lifting story.

Chloe Price had her heart broken with her first love. She's decided that she's spent enough time hurting and is determined to spend Christmas break getting over him once and for all. The last thing she's interested in is another boyfriend but when her sister Margot brings her boyfriend Owen and his brother Ethan home for a surprise holiday visit, the connection is immediate. Ethan Hall is closed off, sullen, suffering. The pain in his eyes draws Chloe in and holds her captive. She wants to be the one to change his glare into his crooked smile. And despite his walls, Ethan feels Chloe breaking through, giving him hope of a future very different from his lonely past.

The Winter Boyfriend is the latest book in my favorite YA series. Seriously. Each time I review one of The Boyfriend Series I say I love this book, can't get enough, want more. Nothing has changed. This book is magical. So many special small moments that when put together make for an exceptional story. Every girl has been Chloe at some point in her life; brokenhearted, embarrassed. It's so easy to see that she could do much better than her first boyfriend. She's smarter, kinder, better in so many ways but first love can be convincing. Ethan is the one but when they meet he's a lost boy. He's been abandoned too many times in his young life in ways he doesn't even understand. He's lost the ability to even dream. This forced holiday opens up his heart to the possibilities of love, family, future. He needs Chloe. And this is exactly what Chloe needs as well.

This is a story of forever love but it's also a story of family. Family is the center of everything. Even when it feels demanding or unappreciative or momentarily absent, family is still what keeps us grounded and strong. Family is the foundation of our world and when it disappears it's devastating. But family comes in many forms. We can create a new family, we can join another family. Forever love wrapped up in family; it's like one of Chloe's perfect cups of cocoa complete with marshmallows. It fills you with a warmth that lasts. This story filled me with joy and hope. It sparkles. It's the perfect Holiday read.

Chloe’s done, she’s had it with school. Ever since her boyfriend dumped her for the popular head cheerleader, she’s been counting the days until Christmas. Not that she’s going to have a great Christmas mind you. Her sister, Margot, is staying in NYC where she goes to college and Chloe has to work at her family’s lodge and Christmas Tree farm. She’s has no Christmas spirit anymore. When you live Christmas 365 days a year, for your entire life, the joy’s gone. There’s no more Christmas magic, at least not for Chloe.
Margot has decided to surprise her family and show up for Christmas, but she’s not alone. She’s brought her boyfriend Owen and his brother Ethan. The chemistry between Chloe and Ethan is electric.
Ethan doesn’t want to be there, he doesn’t like Christmas because his mom passed on Christmas Eve, six years before and his father didn’t want to be bothered with his sons and tried to steal their inheritance. He’s got no family other than his big brother Ethan, so he tags along, even though he doesn’t like Margot that much. Her spirit is too much for him, her personality is over-powering and he doesn’t really like to be around her, but he tags along because he’s not about to spend Christmas alone.
When Chloe sees the hurt hiding behind Ethan’s eyes, she’s determined to make him feel welcome and included. When Ethan see’s Chloe, he realizes it might be time to open his heart and live.
If you love sweet YA stories, Christmas stories, or stories with a damaged couple who attempt to move past the hurt they hide, I would recommend The Winter Boyfriend. It’s charming and heartfelt. The writing is great, the story line is one to lift your spirits and put you in the mood for a warm fire and hot chocolate on a frosty night. I absolutely adored both Chloe and Ethan and wish I could get more about their story.

Beautiful, heartwarming story about young love and hearts that needs to be mended

This is my second book in these series and I loved it! It is heartwarming, ideal for Christmas time but also whenever we need a little hope in our lives to remind us that everything is possible and we should be optimistic because no matter what, there will be the time that everything will be mended and we will find love, happiness and peace.
This is the story about young, fresh love. About two broken hearts that are carrying a lot of pain. Lost souls that only feel lonely and are afraid to trust again because they don't want to suffer from being broken and shattered again.
I adore Chloe and Ethan and would gladly read more about them and their siblings.I can't wait to read other books from the series.

A wonderfully charming and heartfelt YA holiday romance. This storyline has just the right amount of family an ex's interference to keep you addicted page after page. It spectacular to see when the right people come together it can be magical. Ethan and Chloe each have broken hearts it really kept me on the edge of my seat to read how it completed a HEA. I honestly and voluntarily reviewed this ARC

A well written YA romance with nice storyline and plot. I liked the characters and their chemistry. They are well described and develop nicely through the story. The story surprised me a bit but only on the positive side. It is sweet and still romantic in spite of it is a YA. There is also a bit of hotness and steam in it. But that suits the story. A story about fate showing you your HEA but do they both dare to take the chance and go after it.

did not finish this book. I’m half way through and basically nothing happened. 100 pages and the only thing written in here is how Chloe feels repeated over and over again. the main characters have known each other for maybe 2 days total and already think they’re in love with the other? Yet they’ve spoken maybe three times total? Also the guy being overly protective over a girl he just mettttt??? So much i’m not liking in here and i’ve decided it’s just not worth my time

I think this is my favorite book of the series. I love love love the characters! I am so happy with the emotional growth and trust they develop. Chloe starts out feeling like a second rate copy of her sister and learns about herself by comforting Ethan. I love how she grows in confidence. And my heart broke for Owen and Ethan and all they went through. Thrilled this story had a wonderful HEA.

This was really cute and sweet. I liked following both Ethan and Chloe and seeing their relationship develop. There were also a lot of cute holiday events like snowball fights and snowmobiling. I love YA Christmas stories and this was another really sweet one. I’m glad I made the time for it.

This book had so many of the cliches that you love to read about but with a touch of more emotion that just makes you root for the characters; you cheer for the love interests and boo for the ex. Honestly, some of the lines were just so good that if a guy were to read this book, he just might learn a thing or two on what to say to a woman.

This books is for those who want a quick read, love romance and a slightly emotionally damaged guy with good looks, a brain and suddenly rediscovering how to love again.

This was another good read in The Boyfriend Series. In this one we have Chloe and Ethan. Chloe's sister comes home for Christmas. Chloe of course is excited until she see that her sister has brought Ethan and his brother. Over the course of the holiday Ethan and Chloe begin to fall for each other. Considering the past he has with his family I was glad that he met Chloe. She really helped him out in the end.
