Thank you Writer's Melon for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

“Time is like a big airplane, and we all are sitting in it. You can’t see it. But it is taking us all ahead from past to the future.”

What can I say about this tiny little book called The Watchmaker and Time by Devang Kanavia? But first things first, it was a beautiful book and I very much enjoyed reading it.
When I first took a long hard look at the blurb of this book, I was worried whether I would be motivated enough to read it or not. You see, the main genre of this book is discovering oneself and although I’m all up for the notion at all times, I can still not get myself to read such books. But I wanted to change that about myself and this was such a short book to start with (not even 120 pages), I figured this would be the perfect start. And it was. Mainly because there was a lot of fictitious environment hanging out there, too. I won’t go as far as to say that I’ll definitely pick another up soon but this was definitely a good start.

Now, as far as the story of the book is concerned, it is a rather inspiring story. Of course, most of it relies on co-incidence and mystery but it is a nicely woven one nonetheless. The climax was something that I could never have expected. Of course then, it turned out to be great for me (if not amazing). I liked how the climax stunned me. I did not see that coming but then, it also confused me a bit. There was definitely a supernatural element to the story. What’s worse is that the story was literally running in loops. Perhaps, the author wanted to give the idea that everything is a loop. He certainly mentions infinities and loops a lot toward the end.

Although I can’t really articulate much about what I liked in the book, I can clearly state the things that I didn’t like. (Pretty critical of me, I know but I have no idea why this is happening!) Hence, despite liking the context of the story of the book, I ended up not liking the book as a whole. The writing style was plain and there were grammatical errors at more than one places. It isn’t a particularly engaging one and that bothered me a lot because Pedro’s story seemed to be really fascinating (at least until before the climax). Everything was pointing against him and I was pretty excited to see how everything will go but it was not the kind of end I was hoping for the book to receive.

Despite that, it captured me alright. And I believe, that is saying something about a book whose writing style I did not like. (I’m always concerned about the writing styles. If that is not something that fits my choice, I end up not liking the book at all. So the fact that I gave this book a 4 says something really exciting about its storyline and the author.) Rest assured, it is an easy read that you can definitely try out if you have some free time at your hand. Maybe, the ending will open your eyes the way it did Pedro’s.

When i was getting into the book , i didn't know what experience or what i am signing up for. The synopsis as you can see is bit vague and doesn't give much detail about the plot - which i think was necessary for the book.

So the brief idea of the book was to talk about time and that nobody owns time. I think it reflects on the philosophy that time is like the flowing river and it is like an infinite loop.

The story revolves around the Maestro of Time and a question by his granddaughter that sparks an inquisitive thinking in him. The searches for the answer for her question in every way possible but is unable to do so. This led him to revisit his past. I wont give away much but i fell that the plot development of the book was actually good.
This is the first book am reading from this author and to be honest i think he will write more interesting philosophical books in the near future. The writing of the book was simple and easy to read so if i beginning wants to get into it they can easily do that.

Moreover i feel particularly that the plot development was amazing and the ending was one of a kind. I wasn't really anticipating for that ending but when it happened everything fell into pieces. I exactly felt what the author was trying to portray throughout the book.

In the end , i would like to say that the book did well even though it might not be so hyped about. I feel that the book cover could have been more better in order to portray the plot of the book. However, like they say, dont judge a book by its cover - so you shouldn't either and give this one a try!

"Every end merges with the beginning giving a sense of infinity to the finite events it withholds.."

Thanks to writers melon and the author as well as publishers for this review copy.

This is a short book with a story of a renowned watchmaker, Pedro who hold the title ' The maestro of time'. The story starts with Pedro mending his grand-daughter's watch and finding answers to her questions. Maria, a 8 year old girl challenged him with a question about where the time is and who starts the time.. Being a watchmaker and almost 70 years old Pedro was unable to answer these questions and then only he realised he never thought about these fundamental things in his watchmaker lifetime.
Meanwhile his best friend Stuart called him to let him know that another watchmaker Edward has left a note and an old watch of Pedro with his possession. Pedro was so eager to read the note but that made him disappointed in finding that Edward couldn't help him. Then he reveals to his granddaughter about that old watch and the strange incident that happened to him in his childhood which led him to love time and become a watchmaker. That old watch he named as Eternity as it's unstoppable since 70 years and he wanted to resolve the mystery behind the watch as well as the mysterious dreams and incident happened to him in his childhood.
To resolve the mystery he thought of going to Stonehenge where he got the watch from a mysterious old man in the hope of getting answers to his mystery since 70 years.
Will he be able to solve the mystery.?
Will he able to answer the fundamental questions of Maria.?

The story is really short read that it took only 2 hours for me to finish. Really a good story and the way author has narrated it keeps us hook up till the end of the book. The characters were flawless and the writing style was also very good. Although it's a great read, towards the climax portion I felt the flow has gone missing somewhere.. But the ending was really unpredictable for me and I loved it. I recommend it to all booklovers..

A short, meditative, good paced, easy read. In small length as 118 pages, this book delivers to you every man’s perpetual, sometimes conscious and mostly subconscious, quest to discover mystery of time. Sparing his readers of the physics and math and overzealous philosophy and spiritual contexts, this book playfully arrives at the conclusion of the revelation of mystery. Only the enlightened beings really know what time really is, but the book comes around at our scientific and philosophical and spiritual meaning of time with a swift flow of narration.

The story is about an old man named Pedro, the exquisite watchmaker, who has been looking for answer to why and how the watch, given to him when he was a child by a mysterious old man at Stonehenge, has been working without an external source of power (neither the battery not the solar or any other source). This has been the mystery he has been seeking since childhood. In order to seek out the answer he learnt the mechanics of the making of the watch and gained tremendous fame with his intricate designs and work in the field that people gave him the title “The maestro of watches”. Obviously, he did not liked being called that because for him he has not discovered the mystery of this eternal ticking of this mysterious watch.

Then, his life takes meaningful shape when his granddaughter, Maria, in her innocent inquisitive disposition asks his grandfather some troubling questions he did not know the answers too. The search for the meaning and mystery behind the watch, leads to the journey to Stonehenge or let’s say back to the beginning. The beginning and the end, the finite and the infinite, time reveals its nature itself to Pedro, after the lifetime of recurring dream and incessant questions when Pedro mentally and physically prepares himself to look for it as a sole purpose of his life.

Writing style: Plain yet indulging narration and use of language. A good book for beginner readers as well.

Book title & cover: Title is directly related to the story and the cover design is also straightforward and pleasant

Review-
The story of a Watchmaker who is known as 'The Maestro of Time' Pedro realizes he has been running all his life. But from whom?
When Pedro's grand daughter Maria questions him about some fundamental concepts of time he realizes it's answer can help him solve the mystery he has been trying to solve the entire life.
The story is really fast paced never slowing. This is one of the main aspects of the story that I loved. There are no extra drama or baggage. The story was short yet enlightening.
Although it is a fiction the story teaches a brilliant lesson through Pedro and his ultimate realization.
The ending was brilliant too. Though I guessed where the story was heading I loved how the author tied up the entire story and it reached it's climax.
The most interesting part of the story is how Pedro's past influenced his present and shaped his future. The bizarre event of Pedro's encounter with the old man who gave him a watch that never stopped and how a little chitchat with his granddaughter helped him solved his life's puzzle.
The characterization of the story was also perfect. Maria was exactly how a granddaughter should be. Nosy, over excited and intrusive with her never ending questions.
I believe a book should never be judged by it's size. The Watchmaker and The Time though short has the power to capture a reader's attention for a long time.

It is an intelligently written book in the fictional setup for laymen to better understand or to create a base for beginners about the big bang, the concept of finite and infinite and how time is finite.

The author is a brilliant storyteller. The element of suspense in the story will keep you sucked into the book.

If you are looking for an engaging short read, you must definitely go for this book. Simply one of the best reads I have come across this year. When I initially signed up for review, I thought that the plot would sound very complex and would take a lot of time for me to complete. But the author proved me wrong completely. Would you below I completed the book in 45 minutes.

The book starts with Maria, an eight-year-old looking around a room full of clocks. She is dumbstruck by the collection and is keen to find which clock is new. She is a regular visitor and can find out if anything new is occupied in the room. Right in front of her, we see a 70-year-old man, looking down and working seriously. The man is none other than, Pedro or the “maestro of time’ as he is known. He is Maria’s grandpa and was currently working to fix her watch. He loves to work quietly and when he’s into work, he’s into completely a different world and does not want to be disturbed. His world while working is only him and the clocks.

His work is interfered when Maria, tries to open her purse to look at her new flipbook. That is when it all starts. She starts questioning him on what is time and where is it. Pedro is startled when Maria questions him and makes him realize that all these years he’s been working with watches and he had missed thinking about these.

Pedro receives a phone call from his friend Stuart, post which Pedro and Maria are on their way to see Stuart. Stuart hands over a black box and a letter to Pedro. The letter was from Edward who is Pedro’s opponent counterpart from whom Pedro was expecting a solution to his long-running question in mind. The letter read out that Edward was unable to help and is unaware of any solution that would help Pedro.

When Pedro was a kid, he went out on a trip to Stonehenge with his parents and uncle. Pedro dreams of an old man chasing him and wakes up with a loud cry. That startles uncle Joseph, who ends up crashing the car into a tree. Unnoticed by anyone Pedro realizes they are so close to Stonehenge and he sleeps on the open field when he again sees the old man who gives him a watch. The watch has been running till now when Pedro is 70 years, but the question is how since it does not have a battery or cell.

Pedro meets Reishi, a spiritual man, who gives a word of knowledge to Pedro about calmness and disturbance. It is after this meeting; Pedro decides to go back to Stonehenge to find out answers for the underlying mystery of the watch.

Does he find the answers? Who was the mysterious old man? What is the relationship between what Reishi told Pedro and what he is about to discover?

The narration is just right with the amount of pace that it puts into the reader’s mind. Those cute aeroplane drawings made to explain time concepts make it an additional reason for you to like the book. The editing was fine and the plot was simple and easy to comprehend.

Pedro’s character was thought out well, to have the maturity and knowledge of a seventy-year-old man and the childishness he has when he is around Maria are commendable.

The beautifully woven blurb gives you a gist of the story and I wouldn't dive into the plot too much, as I'm afraid I'll spoil it, I'll tell you this though; The plot is fascinating to say the least with a lot of mystery underneath the whole journey of Pedro discovering himself. I personally love the concept of time and it's fundamentals so I was really excited to read this book.

The story starts with Pedro; A 70 year old watchmaker mending his grand daughter's watch. The 8 year old's curious questions about the origin of time makes him realize that even though he spent so many years around watch and in a way time itself, He still doesn't know anything about the basic concept and his inability to answer her questions makes him go on a journey to discover the answers and in a way discover himself.

Throughout the journey we're given glimpses of strange occurrences that happened in his childhood which stemmed his fascination towards watchmaking and these occurrences are somehow related to his present and future as well. How? That's a mystery and that's exactly what he has to solve among other things.

As I've mentioned before I love the concept and this book gives you or at least tries to give all kinds of explanations, from scientific to spiritual to the concept of time and even though I didn't exactly believe the theories that the author gave us, I found them interesting but of course the theory didn't have to make sense to us as long as it made sense to Pedro since it was his journey. I loved how the conclusion wasn't too technical but rather simple, it surprised me but also left me confused so I don't know how I feel about the climax. I didn't hate it but I couldn't understand it properly either which left me feeling a little disappointed. Maybe it was just me? Maybe some people would understand it better. Nonetheless it was an interesting read with a really intriguing concept. The writing style was good in the first half but lost the flow in the second half as the plot approached the climax. I felt like the story was running in circles sometimes but maybe that's what the author wanted, to make us feel looped. If that's true, then the author did a good job. The narration could've been better but what surprised me about the book was that even though I didn't enjoy the narrative fully, I was still captivated by the world the author created so I guess it's a win. There were some grammatical errors that were distracting but in the end, I would recommend this book since it's insightful and inspiring and definitely worth reading, at least once.

The watchmaker and Time by Devang Kanavia is a book about Pedro’s love for watches. Devang Kanavia is a story-teller who became a Book Seller even with his first book. Being himself a perfect coach, and mastered in notable speech, he rendered his work with versatility through science and philosophy. Even a lay man can understand his writing style.
The book”” The watchmaker and time consists of 115 pages with three units namely The Question, The Direction and The Completion.
There are few simple illustration given in the book about THE TIME. Each chapter carries with itself a few quotes in the beginning. The story revolves around a grandfather and a grand daughter
The Hour glass is given due importance in the entire book and the concept of Time is dealt in a very prompt way.”” Time is precious”” and everyone has a right to use it in his own way and at that same to use it in a sensible way is also his responsibility.
The Author quite convincingly presented his ideas to the readers. I quote from page 41, “Look here. If you look at each page individually, it is complete in itself. Let me fold one page. Now when you flip it, the story will still look complete. Your mind will fill up for the folded page”. The first chapter of the book focuses on the general nature of Questions and the chapter two of the book leads us towards the right direction for the right answer. The book is unique for many reasons, because most of the concepts are regular but still hard to understand.
The author finely describes the intertwined concept of the past, the present and the future. The points about finite and infinite was clearly stated the pages of 88, I quote, “Zero was the alternate side of infinity. Time had always been finite. The end leads to the beginning”. The third and the final chapter of the book throws light on the word and the meaning of completion. Though the terms like watch and time are casual in use, the book provides the original and in depth purpose of them in human lives. I quote from page 114 of the book, “Pedro went closer to him and handed over his watch to the kid, wanting to tell him the real meaning of time. He placed the watch in his hand and told him, ‘This is your time’.

❤The Watchmaker And Time By Devang Kanavia❤
Genre: Fiction
Publisher: Embassy book
.
Plot: Pedro's love for watches was born out of a strange incident in his childhood. Over the years he has become one of the most renowned watch designers in the world also holding the title, 'the Maestro of Time'.One fine day, he gets challenged by his granddaughter on the fundamentals of Time. Unable to answer her innocent questions, he realizes that all his life he had been creating watches but had failed to understand what Time was all about. He gets on to an interesting journey in search for answers.
.
My Opinion: This was on of the most creative stories I ever read. An amazing fable about a watchmaker. Pedro is a very famous watchmaker yet he doesn't understand what is the actual meaning of time when he was questioned by his 8 year old granddaughter. His grand daughter reflected the same girl which was depicted in the famous stroy of "Kabuliwala" by legend, Tagore. She was shown really innocent yet curious. Pedro, in order to answer her, he questions himself the same things & is lost in thoughts. It was amazing to read how he tries to find his meaning of life & was giving all his life to make watches was worthy or no. The book unravels many truths & mystery as it proceeds. Slowly slowly it gains pace. The book has an amazing cover & an attractive title.
.
Pros: The entire book keeps us engage with different kinds of thoughts. It makes us question ourselves about our life & existence. With small & minute things the book talks about deeper topics which is the best part. The story has it's own importance. I felt like I am reading a classic due to it's rich thought content. The book is really very short. I do recommend it.
Cons: The ending for me wasn't appropriate, messing up with past incidents took place in the book.

If you end where you began, did you even move in the first place?
So, the story revolves around this guy named Pedro, his granddaughter Maria and his unique watchmaking life. The concept of the story is very intriguing and also the cover of the novel shows some suspense and drama that maybe involved in the story.
Pedro’s love for watches was born after a very strange incident which took in his childhood while he was on his way to Stonehenge with his parents and one of his uncle’s, years back. And since that day, his love grew for watches with time and he has now become a world-famous watch designer and thus, was given the title of “The maestro of Time”.
One fine day, while repairing his grand daughter’s watch he goes under enigma, when struck by her innocent questions on the existence of time of which he didn’t have any answer and so from here his life’s mystery starts on a whole new level.
The story is short, sweet, simple and crisp and the most striking feature of this book is that author is able to convey his strong message through this book. The lead character of the story Pedro and Maria are shown under continuous scrutiny and by this story, their critical ability has been judged. Again, and when time has been mentioned, it creates a stir in reader’s mind as to when what is going to happen next in the story.
Pedro is in dilemma, that what should be his next move in decoding the mystery of time. The title of story is apt and one can clearly make this out while reading the novel. Now, talking about the English part of the book which is quite simple and there is nothing much that can be called as difficult to understand or read.
Overall the book was a nice read, I finished this book in one go only. So, go on and read this quirky and short amazing novel.

Book- The Watchmaker and Time by Devang Kanavia
Status - Read and Liked a lot.
QOTD - How's your relationship with your grandparents?
AOTD - My grandparents played a big part in shaping my life, personality and childhood. I owe me being a decent human being to them and also my Mimi (love you Momma)
So the book starts with a over active kid waiting patiently for her grandfather to fix her watch or at least she is trying to hold still. I mean we all have been in her place and boy oh boy I still find it hard to sit down quietly for more than 5 minutes at a stretch.
This is kid questions anything and everything under the sun and she reminds me of me. Honestly this book made me remember my antics with my grandparents. I loved it. But this isn't just a simple story about grandparents and grandchildren,it's about life in a very macro level. It's about time, from start to finish to back again. It's about what actually may be going on. Ever wondered how our lives came into being? Like the basic part of our lives, time, how that has come into life? How?
Well this book will give you a very simple, sweet, short but profound way of understanding it all. So yeaps it's been a wonderful read.
Ps it's been so great that I am reading this before my exam, wish me luck.
And before I forget I wanna give The Watchmaker and Time by Devang Kanavia a big 5 on 5 with a fluff of candy floss(my favorite candy that I never share with others) and thank you @writersmelon for this one. Sending lots of love and warm wishes to everyone.

“When you get it, you would get it”.

The watchmaker and time is a short story written by Devang Kanavia, which will shed light upon the significant aspects of time and destiny. It’s a small book barely has 100 + pages, but the content worth million.

The author has conveyed the exceptional message, which is the central core of the book, through a beautiful story of a famous watchmaker Pedro. The reader could not expect a spellbound plot or character development in the book. But you would love the book by the end for sure.

Even though it was a short read for me, I could not put down the book, not because of its size but the intrigue factor. Oh, boy! It kept me on my toes; I was in an urge to uncover the truth of time along with the protagonist Pedro.

The simple analogies adopted to explain the complex science and philosophies fascinated me to the core. The author has described Einstein’s famous theory Theory of Relativity with the help of simple illustrations. As a science enthusiast, this made me in love with this book.

He has also incorporated Egyptian mythology in this book, serves as icing in a cake. The writing style is lucid yet effective. I have not expected this book would be an insightful read. I would recommend this to everyone who wants to find the inner meanings of life and destiny.

The Watchmaker and Time written by Devang Kanavia is a fable about time. The story evolves with an old watchmaker named Pedro who has always been fascinated with watches since his childhood. He makes beautiful, intricate watches and he is a popular watchmaker.

However, his life is surrounded by one mystery that he is unable to solve. When he paid a visit to Stonehenge with his parents, an old mysterious man gave him a watch that it hasn’t stopped all these years. Now he has crossed 60 years of his life and has time in his hands, he starts seeking answers for this eternity watch.

His granddaughter is another inspiration that makes him push to finally discover the mystery behind the watch. He once again goes to visit Stonehenge to seek his answers. He has made so many watches but he failed to understand the mechanism behind this watch.

In this journey of realizing the true value of time, will Pedro able to get his answers? Will he understand what does time really mean?

The concept is good but I could not understand what exactly the author wanted to convey to his readers. The plot is fast-pacing with no elaborate descriptions or interesting unfolding of characters. It is just plain writing with a great concept. The author could have peppered his story by explaining and adding creative elements to his writing. After all, storyteller needs to tell a story and not a time when to finish the novel!

The watchmaker & time

Cover is beautiful. It's simple yet enigmatic. Title is apt & takes us to the journey of man who's well known for time. Story talks about a man who's well known for his contribution to the world in terms of time. His works on the field of time unlocks the very essence & existence of watches, for which he eventually crafted his own legacy as one of the supreme watch designers in the world. And thus, he came to be known as 'the maestro of time.' His love for watches surpasses anything known for man.

The journey takes us through the prism of life, where the old man (watchmaker) gets challenged by his granddaughter in the fundamentals of time. And as he embarks to explore the biggest mysteries of nature, especially unravel the complex intricacies associated with it. This excitement takes him further to more puzzles of this past which guides him ahead & the prejudices of him mind eventually gets shattered.

"Questions often bother us not because of their inquiring nature but because of our inability to seek or provide the right answers."

'What's the one thing that never changes?,' asked the boy to the wise old tree.
Time sways away,
& never comes back.
Even memories fade,
& waits for none -
just like the tides.
The only things that's constant in this world - is a soul drifting to seek knowledge.

Language is simple, good. Narration is okay. I came across some grammatical errors. Otherwise, it's a an interesting one-time read.

What I like?
The simple storyline being narrated in way that leaves one satisfied of finding the answers we are looking for.
The suspense that is maintained till the end keeps the reader guessing and glued till the end.

It is a short story about an old person who is obsessed with watches, its making, its design and everything connected to it. His life is just watches such that he is called Maestro of Time.
One day her granddaughter asks him “What is Time?”, and this is the moment he realizes that all this while he also considered himself as Maestro of Time, but he didn’t know how to explain to the little girl about Time. He had all the knowledge about watches but never thought about Time. So, he goes on to explain her that Time is like an airplane, it starts from a place and ends at a place and we are all travelling in an airplane called Time. But, the grand daughter is not convinced and neither is he.
So, he begins the quest of knowing what is Time, where it all began. The book is all about this, in the end he comes to a definite conclusion.
The story is short, easy to read but requires a bit of concentration to understand. Time has always been a difficult and challenging subject to understand. Here the author does so, but the reading will require a bit of discipline to understand what the author is trying to teach us about Time.
Overall, it’s a decent read, should be over in a couple of sessions, and the climax is good, it makes us understand about the start and end of Time.
Go for it, if you are looking for a something different kind of short read.

‘The Watchmaker and Time’ is a story of Pedro and his love for watches. Pedro’s love for watches was born out of a strange incident back from his childhood. And since then he was so engrossed in watches that he soon became one of the renowned watch designers in the world and came to be known as ‘the Maestro of Time’. One day his granddaughter challenges him about the fundamentals of time. Unable to answer her innocent questions he is put to think that he’s been creating watches all his life but never really understood what time actually is. To know the answers to his questions he sets on to a journey to know what is time exactly. Will he be successful in finding the answers to his questions? To know this read The Watchmaker and Time.

The watchmaker and time by Devang Kanavia, the title itself made me curious to read the book.

The plot is about a very famous watchmaker Pedro and Pedro just love making watches but without realising the meaning of time, but one day his granddaughter asks him the meaning of time, but Pedro couldn't answer her question and decides to take on a journey to seek for the answers.
Will he able to find out the answers? To know you have to read the book.

We often forget to realise what time is and why is it so important, the author has created a story trying to answer various questions that arises in our mind regarding time.

The story overall is a not so long and more of a fictional self help book, narration is gripping with free flowing language.

The characters are unique especially of Pedro's granddaughter who is a smart kid with curiosity.

The subtitle and cover speaks a lot about the novel, as a man in middle of his life searching for answers regarding time, so that definitely adds to the value of novel.

I must say that the story takes you to the different world and keeps you busy in thoughts. It is a quick read and is being well-paced by the author.

Overall, The watchmaker and time is worth reading so as to understand what time really is and why is it so important.

Time and tide waits for none. Time is never constant. Time is something around which most of the philosophies are knitted.

Devang Kanavia, through his book, Watchmaker and time, tells the journey of the famous watchmaker Pedro, in search of the truth behind the enigma time. Pedro makes unique and famous watches. But till his granddaughter dumped him with a barrage of innocent yet philisophical questions, Pedro is flabbergasted to know that he had no idea about what exactly the time is and were it started. Pedro's quest for the answers lead to the rest of the book.

The characters are crafted with lot of authenticity. Pedro's granddaughter's inquisitiveness is just like how kids in general ask unending questions.

The book is short yet deep. The quest of truth is depicted simply yet deeply so that laymen could relate to it. Towards the second half, pace of the book shoots and drop a bit towards the climax. A book on philosophy is generally a tough one to fathom but this one is simple. The language is easily comprehensive and targets the youth as well.

The plot in general, is a thought provoking one, an easy one at that.

Pedro's love for watches was born out of a strange incident in his childhood. One fine day, he, 'The Maestro of Time' gets challenged by his granddaughter on the fundamentals of Time. Unable to answer her innocent questions, he sets on a journey to search his answers.
.
Will he find all the missing answers? Will he ever find out the true essence of time?
.
To begin with the story plot, the story is divided into 3 sections: the question, the direction and the completion. The plot is unique and awesome, just loved the way how the story unfolds. The story gives a lot of important information about time and its nature. The pictorial graphics and the way reality is combined, the book becomes a perfect read if you want to read something for your personal growth.
.
If you want to know about the enigma of time this book surely the next pick for you.

The Watchmaker And Time is a truly interesting and highly creative book about time. The author keeps the readers engaged through different thoughts that essentially make them question their life and existence. The book covers extremely deep and topics in a simple and light manner. Despite being relatively short in length, the book presents the feel of a classic novel to the readers. The rich thought content, the flawless narration and the efficient character building have contributed towards making it a great read. The only slight drawback was the climax which for me was not in tandem with the flow of the story. Irrespective of that I enjoyed reading The Watchmaker And Time and wish Devang all the very best for the success of this book.

I really enjoyed this story and was very surprised at how well the author has written the reaction of Pedro. I love how author brings the side characters ( esp. Maria ) into the story and make you want to find out more about them instead of them just being filler. The story is engrossing and I couldnot stop reading. Story had it's flaws but was an enjoyable tale with an engaging lead and some supporting characters. The book is easy to follow and very fast paced. The language of the book is simple and cover of the book is apt to the story. Definitely a good read. Highly recommend.

Took me hardly two hours to finish the book. i wouldn't say it is very thrilling it interesting, it is a rather intriguing book pondering upon the existence and meaning of Time framed within a plot of a watchmaker's search for answers to a mystery presented to him a kid. But this did take me around some cliche ideas and endings so familiar to us through many books and movies. The book will be an ideal read for teens and younger readers. Hold a bit of magic and surrealism towards the end, but not entirely a work of such.

If you've ever thought about 'time' and 'infinity', this is a must-read. I've read tremendous literature on these subjects and this book, by far, is an excellent read weaving these two concepts together in the form of an intriguing and a thought-provoking story. Although it starts a bit slow, by the time you reach part three... well, you ought to reach there to know it, you will be happy that you picked this book up.
