Yeah! I finished!! This is one of those stories that should come with a printable certificate "I finished Happier in Her Friends than Her Relations" So You get it , it's long. Like LLLLLOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG. But it is anything but boring, it is a page turner that will keep you up past your bedtime for more days than you would prefer.

This is a P&P what if that is SO unique and SO unusual that it is hard to describe.
So here's what doesn't happen
Mr. Bingley never comes to Meryton and doesn't lease Netherfield
Jane isn't jilted
Jane isn't nice nor sweet nor kind
Lizzy isn't insulted by Darcy

and here is some of what does
Lots of other Jane Austen characters pop in
several characters will die
Caroline Bingley shows herself to be a scheming cow
Jane Bennet makes Caroline Bingley look like Mother Teresa

This is a 'Bad Jane' saga that is well written and really work the time to read it.

Also Bonus star for no epilogue! Is a story like this is would be unmanagable

39 very, very long chapters. OMG! Rating: MA: due to mature themes and discussions, although not graphic. 4.5-stars

Exactly whose story was this? Was it a Darcy and Elizabeth love story? Was it a Georgiana coming of age? Perhaps, it was a strong-willed and determined Lady Rebecca finding her place or self among her relations. Or, maybe it was Richard working toward his happy-ever-after. And what about the NSNJ [not-so-nice-Jane] with an evil bent that defies the imagination? Let’s not forget the plot-lines for Lady Catherine, Anne de Bourgh, Julia Darcy, Mr. Collins, Mr. Bingley, Wickham [scum-bag-rat-bastard], and the remaining Bennet sisters. And for good measure, toss in a wealth of cross-over characters from Austen’s other works and we have a confused plotline with multiple points-of-view. Our author then left us with a mild cliff-hanger with several weddings to plan, and a question of the future happiness of several of our young ladies. I would like to know what-the-heck happened to those nefarious characters and the secrets they hold?

Reading the comments, I was very curious about the story (I guess I really like a bad Jane). Then I downloaded it, started to read and realized that I already read this story. XD (Probably, back then, it didn't have an entry here).
To be honest, I don't remember much of the story (beside Jane being bad and Mr. Darcy having a secret), but I remember that I skipped almost all parts of the SS characters (boring). So, that's it, 3 stars.

Totally enjoyed this. A very different take on the story. Jane is a horrible horrible person and that is all I will say. The author is in the process of writing a continuation and I’m so looking forward to reading it.

I enjoyed the mash-up of so many Austen characters and the twist of some of their behaviors. The many editing errors were quite annoying though. I applaud the author for her work. It was quite diverting. 😉
