"Whatever happened, only you could have become my princess. Whatever happens, you’re already my queen.”

OMG heart eyes. This series was everything. There was so much action in this last installment and I was all for it. We learn even more family ties and connections and they are shocking. We have new players who we thought were gone and basically I loved it. The relationship between Adelaide and Cyrus is just absolutely beautiful and I love them deeply. Now, it is kind of insta-love and I know that isn't for everyone but seriously-that's such an insignificant part of their relationship that it shouldn't even matter.

The action is amazing. The whole book is a matter of survival and these kids are no backseaters. They jump right in and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty to get their kingdom back. I also thought the ending was well deserved and well thought out. I left this series feeling incredibly happy and satisfied.

It should also be known that some of the characters continue in a future series so we aren't done with these kids just yet and I am so here for that!

What an absolutely beautiful conclusion to a thrilling trilogy!

Queen of Cahraman starts off where we left in Prince of Cahraman: Ada and Cora are left dealing with the consequences of Ada's decision to hand over the lamp to Nariman, and looking after a stony Ayman.

Ada is left having to be as resourceful as she was prior in Ericura, stealing to survive. Her luck is starting to run out though, with the guards being hot on her trail and her ring not working as she had hoped.

An unexpected jailbreak from the castle lightens not only Ada's mood, but also the load she has carried over the past few months. Cyrus, Loujaine and Cherine join the fray and try to come up with a plan to restore Cahraman to the wonder it was before Nariman's wish went astray.

We then follow Ada and Cyrus down a journey of intrigue, wishes, wonders, truth, redemption, love, magic and reunification. To say that this is my favourite retelling would be an understatement.

Lucy has managed to draw you into caring about all of the characters, being surprised at the twists and turns (even though you've heard the base story before) and the understanding that nothing is black and white, everything is a beautiful shade of grey. The set ups for future Fairytales of Folkshore is nothing short of magnificent and I am already invested in every single one that I anticipate to take place.

Ada is one of my favourite heroines that I've ever read. Ada is smart, resourceful, caring, generous and an all around joy to read about. Cyrus is the definition of a supportive, understanding love interest - but he is more than just a love interest, he is a full person on his own and they just add a level of more to each other.

Lucy is an author to look out for and I am enthusiastically awaiting her next release and will immediately hit the pre-order button once it becomes available.

Amazing conclusion to the best trilogy I've read in AGES!

Four words. READ THIS SERIES...NOW!

Amazing, simply amazing, how everything is weaved together with so much connecting and being tied up in totally unexpected ways. This is what a retelling should be like. Taking elements of the old tale and taking it where no one has ever thought of taking it. Lucy Tempest does this masterfully, and creates a unique new world, and executes her stories in completely fresh ways.

Not only is her world unique, but her protagonists are strong, independent and effective, have incredibly satisfying relationships and powerful personal development arcs, without being nasty or foul mouthed or petty. In fact most are delightful, especially the heroine and hero. In this day and age when most books now feature broken, jaded, even nasty anti-heroes it was a breath of fresh air to find heroic characters at last. I read for pleasure and I don't need to be reminded how awful even so-called good people can be.

These books recharged my appetite for reading and neutralized all the ugliness that bombards me from every direction in the real world. It took me to a "Whole (and Splendid) New World" indeed, and I'm still floating there in contentment.

This book, this whole trilogy, are definitely on my frequent re-read shelf, and anything Lucy Tempest is on an automatic pre-order or buy for me from now on.

Everything I've been hoping for in the finale of this epic trilogy and way more. I got so many twists and turns and shocks that kept me reading so fast I was left exhausted at the end. Good exhausted though, fully and totally drained and satisfied. Wow, what a ride!

Everything was perfect, the deepening world building, the new characters (Esfandiar...I want one!!!) the deepening of every single character and the love story between Ada and Cyrus became the stuff of legend like Ada once said. I especially love how Lucy Tempest turned many conventions on their heads and wouldn't follow through any of the expected and tried and true paths and chose a path all her own for the resolution of the conflict and in giving us a true happy ever after.

I'm SO unhappy this trilogy came to an end as I need more Ada and Cyrus. But I guess I can only go back and re-read their story, and hope they'll pop up later in the other stories in this universe. I can't wait for every one of those.

On to Bonnie's story in Beast of Rosemead!

“You have been summoned to Sunstone Palace to compete as one of fifty in our search for the future Queen of Cahraman.” – Thief of Cahraman

“Before, she avoided elimination. Now, she must win.” – Prince of Cahraman

“After a lifetime of running away, now she must make a stand.” – Queen of Cahraman

I have loved this series from the start. I think it has been a really unique take on an Aladdin retelling and having a female protagonist makes it even better.

I think this has been my favourite of this trilogy; it was definitely the most action packed and info heavy but this just made it all the more interesting. Everything here was advancing the plot in some way and helping the reader understand the characters motivations.

There are so many great characters in this series and in this book especially we get to see so much growth and we finally learn everything that happened in the past that made these characters the way they are. I have to say there are some things that I would not have forgiven; these characters are much better people than I am!

The only criticism I have is that this book may have benefitted from another round of proof reading; there were a few grammar errors that I noticed while reading, but they are easily ignored.

As an overall series I love these books. There is enough of the original fairytale that you can easily follow the story but it is also such a unique take on it that it keeps you captivated and excited to see how it will turn out. I cannot wait to read the next series in the Folkshore world and I’m looking forward to (hopefully) seeing cameos from these characters and seeing how their stories progress.

Just finished reading the third book in the Thief of Cahraman trilogy, Queen of Cahraman. The story picks up with the character Ada and her adventures to save the kingdom of Cahraman. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, between the action pack scenes and romance and the most important of all, the characters! There interactions with each other had me laughing and crying! I can't wait for the Beast of Rosemead (Bonnie's story). If you are a fan of KM Shea Timeless Fairytales or Melanie Cellier's Four Kingdom Series than this book is for you.

I couldn’t wait for this third book in the trilogy to be released so I bought it in on pre-order. And wow, it didn’t disappoint!
Lucy Tempest has once again captured my imagination with Ada’s story, all the questions now fully answered and the twists and turns leaving me turning the pages faster and faster.
So good to read about all the amazing characters in Cahraman and find out exactly why they did what they did and what happens next.
Seriously, get yourselves this

Neat, tidy, and enjoyable

I used to think Cyrus was too prefect, but that issue, and many cliffhangers were neatly resolved. There were still one or two things that weren't adequately explained, and the story was still accompanied by the author's penchant for incomplete sentences. The ending, action, and continued story were fabulous and leave me wanting to read more!

Flying carpets! Treasure caves! Simurghs! A peculiarly unhelpful genie! Fittingly for an Aladdin retelling, this story draws on the Persian folklore behind the original Arabian Nights, and it's tremondously satisfying. Speaking of the Arabian Nights, there's a LOT of backstory in this book, which actually gives the book a bit of the same sense, of exploring interlocking and nested stories.

I think that this one must be my favourite of the three books so far, since it contains more adventure and exploration of the story world.

Also, Cora. You leave Cora alone for two weeks, and she starts a revolution. Seems about right.

So great!
What a satisfying conclusion. Everything was tied up neatly after even more craziness was revealed. I really appreciated the sincerity and authenticity with which the emotions of the characters was written. And the honesty that was required and wielded by Ada to obtain and grant forgiveness was inspiring.
Solid story, engrossing series. I can't wait for Bonnie's story.

Epic conclusion

This story took me on a thrilling ride with so many unexpected twists and turns. I loved every moment of it. Although Ada and Cyrus' story has been wrapped up, I'm dying to read the other fairy tales that overlap this one, especially Fairuza's story and Bonnie's story.

I just finished The One, the last book in The Selection trilogy before I read this book, and I found it a sore disappointment. So I approached this book warily, since I ADORED the first two books and was afraid the ending would bring everything to such a lame conclusion like The One did.

But lo and behold, this book....THIS BOOK....it's everything I couldn't have dreamed would wrap up the trilogy. FAR better than my wildest expectations. Now this is how you wrap up a magnificent trilogy, on the highest note possible. The character developments are amazing and the plot's twists and turns and how everything turns out to be connected is nothing short of genius. This series is the one that deserves to be a mega-bestseller.

I hope everyone discovers this series and gives it the success it deserves. To think I started reading this series because I loved The Selection and was hungry for anything like it. It turned out to be far better in every way, especially the writing, plotting, characters....everything really.

I'll certainly be reading everything Lucy Tempest writes from now on.

FANTASTIC FINALE!
I'm still on a high after reading the wonderful conclusion to a memorable trilogy. But I have a problem! Now I want more of Ada, Cyrus, Cora, Cherine and Ayman and yes, more Fairuza and even more Nariman. I certainly want more Esfandiar! :-)

What to do now?

I guess I'll just have to reread and reread these delightful books, and I'm sure I'll find even more things I might have missed on a first reading and more things to love.

The world of Folkshore came to even more dazzling life and the emotions ran high, with mysteries unraveling and twists almost in every chapter. I was left breathless and delighted by the time I turned the last page.

If you like clean romance, great worldbuilding, breathtaking adventure, cleverly plotted twists and unexpected endings grab this whole trilogy today and dive into one of the best fairytale retellings around.

Lucy Tempest is on my autobuy list now, and I can't wait for the rest of the retellings in her fantastic Folkshore universe.

Incredible wrap up to a spectacular trilogy!!

But now I'm so sorry it ended. I need more Ada and Cyrus! I need more Cherine and Ayman. Even Loujaine and Farouk and Darius and Nariman!!!

At least I know there WILL be more Bonnie, since her book is next in Beast of Rosemead. And there will be more Cora, Fairuza, Ariane and Ella, right? Right????
There had better be since I'm waiting on pins and needles wanting to read how their stories unfold. If Ada's story is anything to go by, they're all going to be EPIC.

This was a truly epic journey and I couldn't have dreamed of a better ending. The first time in a very long while that I start a series with a fantastic book, only for it to get better than better with each book. Usually the opening is far stronger than the conclusion. Not in the Cahraman's trilogy's case.

RUN and get your hands all three books and immerse yourself in the clean romance and the thrilling fantasy and adventures all wrapped up in the fantastic writing and imagination of an author I'm so glad I discovered.

The best ending of a trilogy I've ever read!
Really, this was simply amazing. Satisfying in every way, twisting and turning and tying everything together in a way I could have never expected.

There's only one problem now. I want more of Ada's and Cyrus's fabulous adventures and love story!!!
I wonder if it will be possible to continue there story in the future, but for now Lucy Tempest says the next book will be Bonnie's (Beauty) in Beast of Rosemead, and I'll hit that pre-order the second it becomes available.

This was a perfect trilogy set in a unique world with boundless imagination, incredible writing, fully fleshed out characters (for everyone, not only the hero and heroine) and the best retelling I've ever read. READ IT ALL TODAY!

Book 3 certainly lived up to my expectations!

This was a great ending to the fast paced, fanciful, and splendid 3 book fairytale retelling, with Adelaide and her ring triumphing, with more help from her prince than Aladdin ever had from his princess... How all the wrinkles were worked out for happily ever after endings for so many still boggles my mind, especially as it was done in a believable manner! The few remaining loose ends include two of Ada's friends, and I don't mind the unfinished stories, feeling certain their fates will be revealed in future fairytales of their own... 5 stars for all 3 books in this series!

I usually only rate the books I read, but Lucy Tempest again compels me to write a review!

I absolutely adored the first two books, which only kept getting better, were something totally fresh and enchanting. And again the final book in the trilogy gets even better, the complexities, developments, heartache, adventure and romance increasing with every page. And again so intelligently written, and so witty!

I'm so glad I picked up this new author, an auto-buy for me now! I can't wait for Bonnie's story in Beast of Rosemead and for every other book she writes.

I can write a whole essay on how much I loved this finale, how it twisted and turned and was a more than satisfying conclusion to a memorable trilogy, and the introduction into a fabulous new world, brought to life by the incredible skill of a new star author.

But I'll just say READ THIS...and every other book Lucy Tempest writes. I know I will.

Now I can't wait to read Bonnie, Fairuza's and Cora's stories. And can I dare hope we'll one day see Ada's and Cyrus's wedding?? Pretty please?????

This was a very satisfying end to the Lucy Tempest trilogy that gripped me by surprise. It is a retelling of Aladdin, so there are some parts that I expected, but was still surprised by the twists!

The characters we've been following really come into themselves, there are some wonderful realizations and everything tied together perfectly! The romance is clean, the fantasy world is incredible, highly highly recommend this series.

Everything I could have hoped for in an ending to this unique trilogy, and nothing I expected. Love, love, LOVED the whole Cahraman trilogy. Such great writing, incredibly lovable and fleshed out characters and a fantasy world I now want to go live in.

Honestly, I enjoyed the story...but I really wish the author had utilized a proofreader. And an editor. There were So. Many. Typos. It was distracting. And some sentences didn't even make sense. It was just poorly edited. I might have continued with the series if it hadn't been so bad, but I was so annoyed by the end of this book that I just cannot continue.

AMAZING!

I finished this book and immediately went back and re-read the whole trilogy, and I found it even more amazing, just how everything weaved so perfectly together from the very start!

I absolutely adored the first book, thought Lucy Tempest told an incredibly entertaining tale with wonderful world building and a cast of memorable characters. But by now I think she wrote a masterpiece! One that got better with every book, and reached an unexpected and fully satisfying end. And she did it while making me love and care about all the characters, not just the main protagonists. I don't remember when an author last managed that!

I'm so happy I took a chance on this series! I reached for the first book, Thief of Cahraman thanks only to its great tagline and wonderful cover. Now this series is among my absolute favorites of all time, and this author is at the top of my list for a well-written, imaginative and emotional read.

I can't wait for the rest of the adventures in Folkshore!

This was an even better finale for the Cahraman trilogy than I've been anticipating after the incredible first and second installments. My mind is still racing with all the revelations and I'm wondering how Ms. Tempest thought of and executed all those intricate connections, and so seamlessly.

Though anyone who knows it's a retelling of Aladdin knows where it's heading, it's HOW this story unfolds, the breathtaking journey I was taken on, full of adventure and mythology and world building that makes this series. But what truly makes it stand out are the way the characters are drawn, how they ALL feel so real and unexpected, and how emotions feel genuine. I'm dying to give examples of the many instances where I was really blown away, but I want to give other readers the gift of unraveling this gem on their own.

RUN don't walk and read this incredible conclusion to the best trilogy I've read in ages.

Now this is a truly satisfying ending for a brilliant trilogy. I can't believe how much Lucy Tempest put into this final installment, yet still made it fly by. The pages turned themselves, and I want totally immersed in that wonderful universe she created to the point I feel I've been there, seen it all myself. And the characters‚ I feel I now know them all personally, and I love them all. Even the bad ones!

SO much to love in this series, so many twists, so many mysteries planted so cleverly along the way and then resolved in such perfect and unexpected ways. The writing is seamless, effortless and is everything I look for in an author I'll be following from now on whatever she writes.

This is a highly recommended book (and series and author). For anyone who likes clean romance, great fantasy and wonderful writing, this one is for you.

I can't wait for the rest of the books in the Fairytales of Folkshore!

Mind. Blown.
Seriously...mind BLOWN.
I was expecting a lot from the trilogy's conclusion after reading the first two books, but this...THIS...this is a lot more. I mean A LOT more.

This book is everything I didn't even know I wanted, everything I didn't expect and way more. Everything connects like..well...magic and I was left panting as I turned the last page.
This book, this whole series is now officially on my regular re-read list. I'm sure I'll only find more to notice and to love with every read.

THANK YOU Lucy Tempest for writing such an intricately woven and delightfully executed trilogy, where I loved every single character and every single word!

Bring on the next book in the Folkshore universe...and soon!!!!

Who would have thought that I'd actually like an Aladdin retelling? The first book already surprised me in a very positive way. The second book got me more excited, especially after the cliffhanger that promised some amazing things to come and when I started reading the third book yesterday I could barely put the book down. I was therefore quite excited this morning to pick the book up again and to finish Ada's story.

I have to admit that plot-wise this might not be the best book ever. I had actually expected that undoing the wish done at the end of the second book would have been more of a direct confrontation. Instead the book was some sort of scavenger hunt. Our heroes first had to find each other and once they had found each other they had to find some magical items to gain the power they needed to confront the one who made the wish.

However, I quite enjoyed how during this search and during all this traveling we saw so much of the world and we also learned quite a lot about our main characters. In a way this book really completed all the stories and gave us the missing pieces of the puzzle. And I have to admit that there were a few more than I initially thought. The eventual ending might be a little too happily ever after, but that's why we read fairytales, right?

Just like I already knew that the fall out of all the secrets Ada has been keeping wouldn't be too bad. After all, our romantic heroes couldn't be into a big fight for too long. Also, it would have been quite hypocritical. Our prince pulled something like that in the first book, although that might have ended slightly less badly. But I already noticed during the second book how much I cared about our future King and Queen and I'm glad that the drama wasn't dragged out too long.

And now I can't wait to dive into the Beauty and the Beast duology!

As the last book in the trilogy retelling of Aladdin, this book couldn’t have done a better job! The characters stayed true to themselves and there was still adventures! I loved all the twists and turns that felt integral not unnecessarily added.

Ada is trying to get back to the castle and save Chris from Nariman and fix all the mistakes she made. We have a lot of the minor characters still driving the fun part of the story, with Ada really driving the plot. I won’t give any spoilers but get through the first 50 pages and you’ll be glad you did.

I’m pumped to get into the next retelling a from this author.
