Nate and Carlos have a mysterious connection. Upon meeting, they recognize each other, although neither of them can tell you where from. Perhaps it is one of those rare coincidences where two people just have “one of those faces.”
Nevertheless, their connection is instant and strong. It start out steamy and heated, turning into a whirlwind romance where it seems like nothing can go wrong.
The one thing that Carlos never expects is to have Nate brought into his doctor’s practice, delirious with some kind of an attack. It is a well-known rule that doctors and patients don’t get involved with one another, so Carlos is forced to distance himself from Nate from that moment on, especially after he realizes why Nate’s face has always seemed so familiar to him.
A confused and hurt Nate doesn’t understand why he has been abandoned and is about ready to give up on love due to his ailment. It has always been a risk to try as far as he was concerned, but he believes that Carlos is worth such a risk.
Can Carlos overcome the fears he has in time to prove to Nate that he is worth loving all along?

**** An unlikely plot, but I loved the sexiness of these two men. Carlos, 35, long haired Spaniard is a doctor in the US. He meets Nate, 25, Graphic Designer, short haired smaller man, and the two like each other, so, they begin to talk, hang out, and grow their relationship.
I loved Carlos and his accent, and we want to take care of sweet Nate if we could. Great scenes of their dates and how well they get along. The couple is amazing and headed to revealing the "L" word, when Nate ends up in the hospital. We knew he had an impending condition from hints of his health status, but we didn't know everything. Carlos was shocked to see him in his ER.
Like I said, it's unlikely to ever happen, but it's fiction, hopeful and a delightful book. ENJOY !
This was a very good story about how keeping secrets can bring an end to a relationship. Nate and Carlos fell in love ...Now the secrets have to come out especially since Nate is sick.
I DNF'd this around 60%. The plot wasn't bad but the writing was insufferable. There was not a contraction to be found. This might not seem like a huge deal, but there is only so much "I did not", "he was not", "I can not", over and over, that I can take before I toss the book across the room. Lack of contractions may be appreciated in English 101 essays, but certainly not in a book. It is distracting and honestly damn annoying. People don't talk like the characters in this book, and I just didn't like it.
