In this sixth and final 125-page novella, the captivating story of fan favorite characters Six and Sam reaches a dramatic conclusion!
The Mogadorians have captured Six and Sam and brought them to Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of their mysterious master plan to get their revenge on the Garde. It’s the opening night of a spectacular new show, and dozens of special guests, the media, and tons of spectators have flocked to Sin City—which can only mean one thing: the Mogs are planning something truly devastating.
Luckily for Six and Sam, they’ve yet to find a prison that can hold them. When they do manage to escape, and finally regain control of their Legacies, they will have to race against the clock to try to stop their old adversaries once and for all. And if they can’t succeed, they—and countless others—will suffer the consequences.
I'll admit this was satisfactory enough. If a bit convenient.
As all of this little novellas, this one was action-packed from beginning to end. And the action is always fun, what with all the legacies and stuff it always makes for good action.
The Deux ex Machina was plausible enough, meaning that it has bases that actually exist and make sense, but convenient nonetheless. Not like I wasn't expecting something like that since, after all, we don't have all that much time to solve everything either.
I was just realizing that Nine appears in all this new batch of books and that makes me completely happy since he's one of my favorite characters of the whole series.
The new characters -Max, Nemo, Ghost, etc. - were ok. I just wish we had a little bit more time to be with them and we could get to know them better. They have enough deepness that they don't feel flat but a little more wouldn't kill anyone and would flesh them out more.
“So much had happened to this girl. So many terrible things. She had become someone different.”
The ending was, well, just as I had imagined. That is, thank's to the spoilers I consumed by reading Return to Zero before reading this.
But I like it.
It links everything that is going on and leaves you with a nice foreboding as to what is to come. It's ominous enough. _______________________
In retrospect, I should have read this before I read Return to Zero. Meh, what's done is done.
Being the ending of this series of novellas I expect something grand and full circle. It's just to bad that I already have an inkling of how things are gonna end thanks to me spoiling myself.
I feel a bit empty finishing this because that will mean the end of an era and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
Well that wrapped up this Sam and Six novella series...perhaps a bit to neatly after everything that came before...and who ends a novella series with another cliffhanger? That was annoying, hopefully it concludes that plot twist in the main series, or I’ll be even more annoyed.
As always, it is nice to be back with the original characters. To know that they have not been forgotten. However, it is sad to see them still struggling with society being okay with the characters. The author has been hard at work, making these stories come to life. I wish that there would be a filmmaker to make them into films correctly. "I Am Number Four" needs to be redone movie-wise. Till next time.
I think this book is my favorite in the Legacy Chronicles series mainly because Nine just appears through out the book and does his usual things😂 The ending made me laugh and cry at the same time but now I’m even more excited for Return To Zero! I hope that Six and Sam are in that book because I NEED to know what happens next😅 It will only be another month until I can get my hands on it😫
What happened to Scotty? How did Nemo manage to kill Boomer? Why doesn’t Ghost know her own motivations for doing what she had? How about Seamus’s? Freakshow’s and Spike’s? Where did the Mogs come from again and why wasn’t it explained how they survived the rounding up, MogPro and all?
For all the awful, unnecessary and redundant writing, a reader would think these dark mysteries will be shed light upon.
as if being bored to death by the human garde and having to read a washed down version of six during this novellas wasn’t enough now sam and six are being arrested. i hate it here so much i would like to have a conversation with james frey, this is ridiculous
Ok, it's not really a spoiler for fans of the Lorien Legacies, we all knew Sam and Six would be found locked up in the spin off novels. But it still sucked when it happened lol After EVERYTHING they went through, the kids they tried to help, the little jerks they finally helped capture, the lives they saved....they get....arrested? Ugh, governments are so annoying. So....Ghost is free and Sam and Six are locked up? Yeah, that makes sense. I know Four and Nine wont let it stay that way and there was SO much action in this you can't help but think "What's going to happen?" So....it was still pretty good, minus the ending 😁👍
Really wanted Ghost and Freakshow to die but they didn't. Magdalena and Eleni's death was simple that it leaves you thinking that they're still somehow alive. Seamus, wanted him to suffer more. He deserves so much more than his legacy being taken away. Not a really good ending for Six and Sam, give them a break already.

This was very clearly not the same author as the original series. Whoever did write this did not know the characters at all and used every excuse to cripple them the entire series. It was so poorly written, inconsistent and riddled with plot holes it felt like a fever dream. I regret reading these books and ruining my opinion of the original series.
Was it a good end? Yes. Will i read more? Sure. Am i annoyed that i cant get to find out what immediately happens? Yes. Still a fan though. And i feel this would appeal to fans more than bring in new ones.

Overall, The Legacy Chronicles was weak. You rarely see the original garde use their legacies, decisions are made that make absolutely no sense, and everyone's running around acting like an amateur.
