Problems of Neurosis: A book of case-histories is one of the main books written by Alfred Adler. In collaboration with Sigmund Freud and a small group of Freud's colleagues, Adler was among the co-founders of the psychoanalytic movement and a core member of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society: indeed, to Freud he was "the only personality there" .

Only those who see the now as the very knife-edge separating the future from the past are aware of things as they really are. That is why, in the philosophy of medicine, true diagnosis—in Galen's phrase, “the thorough understanding of things present”—comprehends and implies the right understanding of etiology (or what has been) and of prognosis (or what will be). But academies, whether of art, of literature, or of science, vainly attempt to fix, to crystallize, not merely that which flows, but that which is of the very essence of being—the flux, or change itself. And academies of medicine form no exception to the rule.

Austrian psychiatrist Alfred Adler rejected emphasis of Sigmund Freud on sexuality; his theories that personality arises in subconscious efforts and that from overcompensation for perceived inferiority results neurotic behavior and psychological illness base an Adlerian psychological school.

People recognize emphasis of this medical doctor, psychotherapist, and founder of individual on the importance of the complex as isolating an element, which plays a key role in development.

This Viennese of the best-known in the western world held a chair in the United States of America. His special merit made clear the interaction between external influences and internal dispositions. He therefore pioneered a holistic approach.

The source of the neuroses was advanced using a method that is Freudian in essence, but Adler developed himself in general, and as a result, a full book was revealed.

While addressing neuroses, Adler carried out the deconstruction of both individual and social problems that the child, who has become neurotic as a result of the wrong child education and approach of the parents, will live and experience during adulthood.

While the essence of the emotional and behavioral disorders experienced by people who are far from being socialized is again evaluated with a parental approach in childhood, Adler did not re-discuss the phenomenon of "society". His acceptance of sociality as an absolute good causes us to rethink Adler's theory. Because participation in society, socialization brings with it superimposed morals, ethics and thoughts. Is it normal to easily accept the morals, ethics and thoughts of society? This question is the blank part of the book. If we recall Adler's theory of individual psychology outside the book, we can remember that he was distant from socialization. However, I couldn't understand why this part of the book was missing. Apart from that, it has a very valuable content. Neurotic personality, one of the biggest problems of our time, has been solved with this book.
